Fantastic experience: Good gym best is plenty of room to workout you need space for weights and peeps good to go when you are take your time and stretch .. a gym for all new sauna great keeps the heat up after work out.

Fantastic experience: World Gym Port Macquarie is amazing! I signed up for reformer Pilates and so it has been awesome. I went to my second class last night and it was so good! The instructor Mandi was so supportive and comforting, we just went through everything at a slower pace and did all the fundamentals as there was only 2 people in the class and she had the chance to provide more one on one support. It was so enjoyable and relaxing, it did not feel like a 50min class as it went by so quick! Highly recommend going to Mandi’s classes, she’s amazing! Can’t wait to go again.

Fantastic experience: World Gym Port Macquarie is a great gym, especially the fitness classes. A huge shout out to Jodie, her classes are well-structured and creates a friendly environment. Jodie demonstrates proper techniques and is there to support you in preventing injuries and gives advise on your fitness goals. Jodies classes are fun and also challenging to help you achieve a high fitness level. The classes has improved my overall body awareness..Great work, highly recommended.

Negative experience: Please make sure you hire a lawyer before signing anything with this Franchise, and dont ever expect to be able to suspend your membership no matter how many days in advance you give them when you go away on holidays. I perservered for 3 yrs. I was assured before I paid up front for 12months that I would have unlimited suspensions, after I paid I was told no suspension allowed on up front payment. So went to fortnightly debit sucess and still was not able to suspend my membership as it was never acted upon until my full payment was due, last effort I gave 10 days notice and it still wasnt acted upon, I tried to cancel my payments as my 12 month membership had expired 6 months previouslyand I just paid per fortnight and was continuing to be charged after I asked to cancel my fortnightly payment. I have since paid a full years membership with a reputable gym with 3 months suspension allowed.

Negative experience: The gym itself is good with a good array of equipment, and the staff are nice and friendly. But the company practices lack compassion. If you miss a weekly payment for whatever reason, you will be locked out of the gym on your next visit, with no notification/email that a payment failed, then charged $15 for the pleasure on your next weekly payment. Orwellian systems in place with no respect or recognition of loyal customers and that clerical mistakes can be made. A small glint of humanity would go a long way, offering an understanding that sometimes s#!t happens. This would help you look a lot less like a money-churning machine.

Fantastic experience: World Gym Port Macquarie, is a very well equipped gym that caters for all fitness levels and experience. Additionally, the staff are welcoming and friendly, always being able to help with any problems or questions. In terms of equipment condition, not only do they have a large variety, but it is all high quality. World Gym Port Macquarie ultimately meets all fitness needs and at an affordable price.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been at world gym since it opened and honestly think it’s the best gym in the area. The staff and PTs are always willing to help and make you feel really comfortable no matter your skill level!

Negative experience: Had my earphones case pinched, reported it at reception and also to the instagram of the gym immediately with the time and location of which locker they were in and asked to view the cameras aimed at the lockers and was told they’d be reviewed and i’d be contacted. No response via phone or on social media, pretty disappointing.

Negative experience: This gym has amazing equipment!! The only reason I’ve stayed a member for a couple of years. It seems that’s what this gym relies on to keep members, great equipment but no effort required from staff. Staff are in desperate need of customer service training, especially the Manager, since she sets the standard. Maybe I’m old school. Where the energetic greeting? Where’s the smile? Where the acknowledgment? I’ve seen multiple staff on multiple occasions incl. the Manger in the entry point and not one of them acknowledged me on entry, isn’t this the first lesson in customer service? Shouldn’t this be habit?

Fantastic experience: Mijn vriend en ik kwamen hier trainen tijdens onze vakantie, en het was echt super! Mooie, ruime gym met heel veel equipment voor zowel bodybuilding als powerlifting. 10/10

Negative experience: Asked a question about military discounts for veterans and the 2 young men at the counter just gave blank stares and answered arrogantly. Was seriously going to sign up for a membership but the attitude of the young men at the desk that couldnt care less put me off. Train your employees in customer service skills.

Negative experience: I visited the gym before 9 am today to sign up for a membership. The lady at desk told me she is not a sale consultant and someone will contact me at around 11 am. At 1 pm I called and manage to talk to the sale consultant who said she is on break and can't give me information on gym memberships. She is very busy anyway. She said she will call later. At 3 pm still no call back from the gym. I wanted to joint the gym and start exercising today. The day nearly gone I could not manage to sign up today. Don't call me anymore please as I am signing up with another gym right now. Horrible customer care experience!

Fantastic experience: Love This Gym! Honestly the place is always clean and staff are great most of the time but I can’t say enough good things about Julie! We had a challenging experience at the gym, where two other staff members provided poor customer service and weren’t really helping us understand, and just made us more confused. Thankfully, Julie came to our rescue! Her customer service was nothing short of amazing. She listened to our concerns, clarified the confusing information we had received, and provided us with the support we needed. Julie’s professionalism, kindness, and upbeat vibe completely turned our experience around. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about their clients, but Julie does just that. She’s the person to find next time we’re at the gym! She is amazing! You guys are lucky to have her! If you’re looking for exceptional service, seek out Julie—you won’t be disappointed!

Negative experience: I really regret signing up to a long term contract in the middle of winter because they often don't bother to turn on the air conditioning upstairs until I complain about the heat up there. Downstairs in the nice, cool entrance they are inclined to forget that hot air rises, unfortunately. All the cardio equipment is upstairs and there are precious few small oscillating fans at a distance, which you can barely feel, so exercising upstairs in summer is usually a highly demotivating experience.

Fantastic experience: I'm new to the area, and it's my first time back in a gym in 20 years.... and I loved it. I thought I'd feel out of place, but the staff and the other gym-goers are fantastic and very welcoming. The facilities are awesome, all very clean and well maintained. A great range of options from free weights to cable machines, bikes, ellipticals, and a full range of classes for every need. Plenty of gym gear, supplements, and smoothies to choose from on your way out, too.

Positive experience: Excellent gym, excellent staff, excellent equipment, all held back and made unbearable by the fact they NEVER turn the air conditioner on during the day. I heard 6 different people complain about how hot it was today and all they do is open a door which provides no breeze. I'm fighting off the urge to pass out every day. It has been consistently hotter inside than it is outside since September. It was a bother back then, now that we're in summer it's just dangerous and negligent. It's cooler in the sauna than it is upstairs. It's a gym, we're doing things that are hot in a tin shed. Whatever the lowest temperature setting is, put it there and don't touch it until May. Don't use the scientifically disproven old wives tale of sweat = weightloss as an excuse to be cheap.

Negative experience: Saunas need an upgrade my partner says the women's are really bad too, the smell is unbearable. Equipment is good, could use the air conditioner more on hot days

I am VERY happy with the infrared sauna in the bathrooms & the protein shakes from the cafe on site are amazing!! You can purchase clothes and supplements as well.... a one stop gym shop YES!!

Negative experience: Provided two months notice in writing of my intent to cancel my membership at the 12 month expiration. Was still charged a membership fee following the end of my contract. After two months of emailing the manager and membership rep, was refunded the incorrect amount. Manager has blamed the “direct debit provider” for the system error and inefficiency of processing a refund! I wonder how many other customer have been stung?? This is basically theft. After decades of gym membership, I’ve never encountered such unhelpful and inefficient service. No accountability or customer care. I notice all previous negative reviews have been dismissed as “fake accounts”. Interesting!

Great facilities including the Barbell Cafe, plenty of lockers and supplies in bathrooms. Everything you could need in their shop with protein and gym wear. Great gym!

Positive experience: Edit: I have since been contacted by the gym. I signed up a membership for a month (as I am up in port mac for work) and paid initial fees and 1 week in advance. Used it once before the lockdown (paid $56.95). I was subsequently charged another week during the lockdown (debited directly from my account $21.95).And I’m back home and found out I was charged again for another week even though the membership has ended. I have been charged almost $100 for one visit. I called the gym 3 times and emailed them to rectify the situation, still waiting. I’m mainly concerned that they keep charging me via direct debit without my knowledge. Be aware of signing up for membership for short term.

Fantastic experience: Staff are amazing. Equipment new top of the range. I can train at any world gym in Australia. Rates are quite cheap no hidden fees at all. It is the best fitness centre in Port Macquarie. I have been a member to a few of the other 24h and non 24h gyms in Port. And this one takes the cake.

Positive experience: Amazing gym, loved the equipment and the vibe. Very unhappy with being told I couldn't train there because I am from Victoria even though I've been living in NSW for the last month. Not a fan of discrimination in any form. I ended up being able to train but not impressed with that.

Fantastic experience: I went to World Gym while visiting Port Macquarie. The gym has excellent facilities and machines. We attended Kylie’s HIIT class and it was BRILLIANT! Kylie explained everything really clearly at the beginning and also made sure we warmed up and stretched properly afterwards. She was also very attentive and encouraging throughout. My friends and I are avid gym goers and we were all exhausted after the class. The gym changing areas are lovely and we enjoyed smoothies in the cafe afterwards. The staff are really nice too! Will definitely return if in PMQ again.
