Bright Sports Centre

Fantastic experience: What a fab gym! We were visiting Bright for a few days and I didn’t want to interrupt my gym program. I phoned and spoke to Matthew about a casual entry and he was very helpful. Barb on reception was very welcoming too. The actual gym was brilliant. The equipment looked brand new and they had everything I needed. Thanks for having me!

Positive experience: Friendly staff. The water is 90° f, too hot to do a real workout. Lots of children go to this pool so the water is murky meaning not clean.

Negative experience: It is a very basic gym and the equipment needs upgrading especially the benches - one bench in particular, the synthetic covering was cracked and generally in poor condition and needs urgent replacing. I would be annoyed if I was a regular paying member that the equipment does not appear to be regularly serviced nor is in good decision. Reminds me of equipment from the 80s and is probably that old.

Fantastic experience: Great range of facilities, some excellent rare gym machines (I'm a fitness coach and I've been in a few gyms!), staff are lovely, it's always quiet, and best of all there's a resident French Bulldog!

Positive experience: I went twice whilst in Bright on holidays. It was clean, fairly uncrowded, and had enough equipment for my needs. Reasonable charge for casual use.

Positive experience: I come all the way from Mount Beauty for swimming lessons and I have to do it on a specific day because of work. But when you get here at 10 or 5 minutes before your lesson and get scorned at the door because it isn't open and all you want to do is get your child changed for lessons. I'm NOT asking to go in the pool just get her changed. If I could get my child in at my local pool, I would have. I'm really disappointed with greeting. Sorry to leave this review, but I feel like you should know.

Fantastic experience: Great Facility and fantastic staff!

Negative experience: Great gym but no longer go there since the teenager boys using the equipment, dont clean anything, they are rude, drop the weight very loud and worst of all they all vape in the bathrooms.

Positive experience: Swimming pool is quite warm, but small.

Fantastic experience: Booked a 1 hr massage with Paul Nixon while holidaying in Bright and came away feeling relaxed and pain free. Would recommend Paul for anyone with shoulder/neck/hip pain. Very professional and prompt with any enquiries pre booking.

Negative experience: Came in at 445 and told the pool is closed for an hour due to a large group using it at 530-630. No discount offered for only being able to use it for 35 mins. Not happy!

Positive experience: Good local centre - small but warm 17m pool

Negative experience: Should be at least 1 swim lane open to public and members when pool is open. The half pool is available but this is divided across the pool. 6metre laps doesn’t cut it! Have attached opening times as we were turned away for a swim at 10am. Gym is overpriced and inadequate equipment. $14 per session. Weekly swim or gym pass for tourists would increase business. Management was inflexible to this idea
