Fantastic experience: I really enjoy training at MOD fitness! They have great equipment that is well looked after. The gym is always kept tidy and it is a nice atmosphere. Stuart, the owner, is lovely and has helped me with technique for a few exercises. I would highly recommend this gym, especially for beginners.

Positive experience: Great gym, good facilities, owner is lovely. However, they really need some fans or aircon. unfortunately it is a super hot gym and can make working out rather uncomfortable and light headed with no air flow- an anonymous account for privacy. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I have been a member at Mod fitness for 7 years now and can not recommend the place enough. Stuart looks after the place with all equipment in great condition, doesn’t get too busy and the people who train here are all friendly and courteous. If your after a gym that ticks all the boxes look no further.

Fantastic experience: Been training here for years. Excellent facilities. Equipment is extensive, tons of hammer strength machines, up to 55kg Dumbells, heaps of cardio equipment. Lucky to have this little gem of a gym local to me. Most importantly the owner Stuart is a top notch bloke.

Fantastic experience: Stuart the manager made me feel very welcome and taught me technique for a variety of different exercises and machines and has given me all the knowledge I needed when I first signed up for the gym. Stuart and his team say hello and welcome me every time I walk into the gym and I appreciate having such wonderful, caring staff members. The gym has all the weights, machines and exercises that I could ask for and throughout my time at the gym I’ve managed to progress better and better with having everything I need whenever I want. Overall great gym and couldn’t ask for any better.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend MOD Fitness 24/7 to all of my family and friends and anyone wanting a professional Gym experience. I have been a member here for some time and have always felt very welcomed by the Owners. This is a fully equipped establishment and during staffed hours Stuart or Bec are more than happy to assist with showing me the correct ways to use the equipment. The gym hygiene is of the highest standard. As well as regular cleaning they also have a RESPO System which disinfects the gym 24/7. Their vending machine raises money to sponsor a Tasmania Devil (Mod) and help with the conservation at Devils @ Cradle in Tasmania. There is a No Joining Fee with many joining options available to suit anyones needs. Also what appealed to me with MOD Fitness is that it is a local family run business which doesn’t have that “show and shine” atmosphere, it doesn’t matter how old or young you are or how fit or unfit you are they welcome everybody.

Negative experience: they make it as hard as possible to cancel a membership. looking at some of the other 1 star reviews it looks like billing people who no longer want membership is pretty standard for these guys. I moved out of the area and forgot to cancel before I left. I called about 5 months ago and was told I couldn't cancel over the phone without returning the fob. After arranging for the fob to be returned they now want their form printed and sent back by registered post (I don't even own a printer and shouldn't need to take time off work to go to a post office to do something as simple as cancel a payment for a service I haven't used for 6 months. I ended up calling the bank and blocking them. I'd avoid at all costs.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of many gyms and this is the best gym by far. Such a friendly vibe here and all the staff are very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended, great equipment to use.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of several gyms prior to MOD Fitness but never stuck at it until now. Staff are fantastic and very helpful without being over bearing. Missed my gym fix during covid 19 closure, so very happy they have re-opened. Stu and Bec are doing a great job. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: A great place to work out. Staff are freindly and helpful, there is a wide vareity of machines and equipment. Not quite sure why the comment about bad equipment, it's all Hammer strength and life fitness (which are great to use). I've seen new types of equipment being added to provide variety etc. It has a great atmosphere and as a mum, I'm comfortable working out there (not full of muscle bound men watching themselves in the mirror). No pressure to sign up but staff were avaliable for anything I needed. Update : Sadly I have moved interstate for work, so can no longer work out here. But I did want to comment that I didn't have any problems cancelling my membership. Just had to fill out a form, no extra payments taken. Thanks

Negative experience: This gym is a scam. We were members of express fitness and it was taken over by this Stuart guy. Our membership had long expired and he comes on board and thinks he can start charging for old memberships. If you are anyone you know have been put in this same situation suggest you go to the office of fair trade. Our small group of ladies are doing just that.

Fantastic experience: Great Gym and great Staff / Trainers, the equipment and facilities are always kept in great condition. Stuart is always friendly and happy to offer any tips or assistance to anyone willing to ask and learn.

Negative experience: Absolute scam. Canceled my contract with the old owners and was then charged $700 by the current owners when I no longer had a membership. Owner refuses to reimburse me when he knows I have not entered the gym since I CANCELLED my contract IN PERSON and didn’t even have access. Truly disgusting way to run a business and I’m sure that I’m not the only person this has happened to.

The equipment is really good and is constantly being updated based on what the members want. The owners are fantastic and the members are all super friendly too Highly recommend!
