Fitness Local Bardwell Park

Positive experience: Kind of done here. Broken things don’t get repaired quickly (back extension has been broken for weeks) towels aren’t enforced. Come of a day and it’s full of school kids without towels taking up everything (just needs structure) and nothing is ever put back so it’s hard to find what you need at times, seems staff don’t police much. Upside good parking and cheap gym.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been going to this gym for over 8 years, and it's a good local gym to take classes or do your own workouts. The staff are friendly and the instructors are qualified. They have most of the equipment you'd need and is well-maintained, the gym is fairly clean with reasonable pricing. It's open 24/7 and usually not too crowded, so you can enjoy your work out whenever it suits you. Recommend this place to anyone looking for a good local gym experience!

Fantastic experience: I have been training at Fitness Local for over 10 years. The staff are amazing! Always attentive, friendly and helpful. The Trainers experienced and knowledgeable in all aspects of health and fitness of all levels. A big shout out to my incredible Trainer Linda who pushes me (in a good way) to reach my goals. The up to date equipment and overall positive feel makes for great Community gym.

Fantastic experience: Been coming here for over 10 years. A small but well-equipped gym with good trainers, plenty of equipment, terrific creche and friendly regulars. The FIT training program caters to all fitness levels and several areas of interest from boxing to weight-training. Reasonably priced. Sauna and Pilates Reformer available.

Negative experience: What a terrible customer service this place has. The lady that was in the reception is not very welcoming, rude and has no sense of consideration.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, clean and well equipped gym. Welcoming to all ages, sizes, etc. I like that it is low key and has parking at the RSL as well as being right next to the train station. Not many classes but I go for the equipment. Members can access the gym during unstaffed hours

Positive experience: I've been a member of this gym for a while now, and I have to say that it's a great value for the price. The staff is always welcoming and helpful, and the gym is always clean and well-maintained. Plus, there's ample parking space available, which is a big plus. That being said, one area where this gym could improve is by adding more equipment. While they do have a decent selection, I do think that they could benefit from having more machines and free weights available. This would help to ensure that members can always find a machine or weight to use, even during busier times. Overall, I would recommend this gym to anyone looking for a friendly, reasonably priced gym with plenty of parking. However, keep in mind that they could use more equipment to better serve their members.

Positive experience: Great price for their gym membership, location is great and a massive car space located in the area for free parking. Easily get in a workout after work as it is located right next to bardwell park station. Only disadvantage i can think of is there is no signal in the gym, however, the benefit of that is you dont get distracted from you phone !

Negative experience: This business is now run by Fitness Local with gyms at Bardwell Park and Dullwich Hill. The Bardwell Park gym is very disappointing. Untidy and unhelpful to sum it up. The staff seem to be unconcerned about hygiene (the sweat towel rule is by no means enforced) and there are always weights and dumbbells lying about the floor. As it is only a small gym, this makes it very difficult at times to even work out without a danger of tripping over weights. After two years as a member, there was very little interest in keeping our membership so we moved on to a far better gym nearby, which was also cheaper!!
