Fantastic experience: Best gym EVER

Negative experience: They offer such limited classes in the Platinum area. The few that are good are run way too early in the morning to attend. In the afternoons you can only find Pilates classes (run by an actual teacher if you’re lucky), but mostly run by a video they play that you have to follow (I can do that at home too). Very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: This gym undoubtedly offers the best equipment in Newcastle. Whether you prefer plate-loaded for isolatreal training or weight stack options, you'll find at least 2-3 choices for every exercise imaginable. The cardio section features modern equipment with a wide range of options. It's also tech-friendly, allowing you to sync your smartwatch with the machines and bikes to monitor your activity. Moreover, the bathrooms and toilets are always clean, ensuring a pleasant and hygienic experience. The atmosphere here is friendly and welcoming, especially for newcomers. It caters well to serious gym enthusiasts, but casual visitors will also find the environment motivating and comfortable. While the location might be inconvenient depending on where you live in Newcastle, parking is consistently available, and once you are in the gym, you don't care about anything but enjoying your workout.

Negative experience: Place is run by poor management and has a high turnover of stuff , I got injured back there in June, I talked to the staff and ask for help and maybe a month free, they basically told me to get stuffed now today 28th of October, emf kotara refuse to have me back as I wanted to come back , club is terrible don't fix nothing and still have my photo up on there website yet I can't come back cause they were negligent when I got injured there and offered no support, basically told me to get stuffed, run by poor management and I think I deserve to cone back if I want as this was in June now nearly November, bit late to say I can't come back, don't go here

Negative experience: Have been a member at Platinum by EMF Kotara since January 2021, however, has been a progressive decline in quality and availability in trainers and class styles over the past few months. The membership price saw an increase, but the offering has significantly decreased. Some trainers seem to want to be anywhere but teaching, and management are constantly requesting feedback however don’t seem to follow-up with any concerns/feedback raised. Was sad to see the decline, as it was a great gym when it first opened. Would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a supportive gym environment.

Fantastic experience: Equipmenta galore and an energetic bustling place for fitness enthusiasts

Positive experience: Love this gym! Great saunas, clean and modern facilities, good instructors for pilates, high tech equipment, Creche is amazing. Only annoying thing is you need to travel across the whole shopping centre to get to the weights!

Negative experience: Would gladly sign up, but closes at 7pm!!

Negative experience: Classes were decent, management only care about $$$, no consideration, horrible customer service.

Fantastic experience: Classes are addictive! Variety of classes to change it up! You feel great, and always want to come back! Absolutely love this gym!! Only downfall is you cannot cancel a class booking an hour before the class starts which is hard when you do on - call for work!

Fantastic experience: Easily the biggest and most equipped gym in Newy which also has a good variety of classes as well, on the expensive side though if you don’t have fitness passport.

Fantastic experience: What an incredible place! The range of group fitness options is mind blowing! Something different to keep your workouts fresh. Haylee and Cameron are super friendly and welcoming. Lots of fun!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing fitness facility! Best equipment and classes. Supportive friendly staff who know me by name! Love that there are child minding services, the staff are soooo welcoming. Absolutely cannot recommend this club enough!
