Fantastic experience: I have been a client of the Body Place for a few years and I love the care and attention staff provide. My tailored gym sessions are seeing me progress towards my fitness goals and getting stronger through the process. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone. Further, I love my regular training sessions at Body Place. It’s such a welcoming and encouraging space to invest in self care that sets you up for longer term health. Over the last year I’ve been focusing on strength and hypertrophy training. It can feel like a mighty effort to keep showing up after these types of intense sessions that often involve a lot of time under tension and pushing to beat that last personal best achieved. I learnt about Soma bath house via Body Place and Get Nourished (another amazing local business in Moonee Ponds). Soma is a beautiful space where you can focus on self care in a different way to the gym. The infrared sauna is an amazing space to relax, focus on meditation or breath work or have a chat with a friend. The cold plunge took me a while to get used to as someone who doesn’t like to be cold. The first time I tried it I lasted not even a second! Now I can do between 10-15 minutes. It’s a great method of helping those hard working muscles recover after an intense gym session. I love finishing with the magnesium spa at Soma. It’s like that reward after the cold plunge. The spa jets feel like a massage on any sore muscles and really help to get me back into the gym for that next heavy weights session. We’re so fortunate to have such great local businesses that help us build the healthiest, strongest versions of ourselves. Thank you Body Place & Soma!

Fantastic experience: Shout out to Shannon, one of the amazing exercise physiologists at Body Place, who has been a huge pillar of support to me. Shannon has been a pivotal part of my goal setting and accomplishment in my lower body strength in particular. She’s managed to support me through pre-existing hip bursitis, and a (non-gym related) MCL tear and rehab. Throughout all of this, I’ve felt so safe under Shannon’s guidance. I’ve still gained so much strength and function despite these difficulties. Her knowledge of what is happening in my body and what tweaks to make to correct form or adapt to limitations is limitless. She’s also just so lovely! Joyful, supportive, encouraging, kind and dedicated. Shannon strikes the perfect balance between supporting injury or disability and challenging my body to do everything it can. She knows exactly how to help me feel strong and capable when I occasionally walk in feeling flat and unmotivated. I always look forward to my sessions with Shannon. X
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend BodyPlace gym. The main point of difference between this gym and other gyms is that the trainers are all experienced exercise physiologists who work 1:1 with clients to support their training journey. The trainers clearly have exceptional knowledge of their field and apply this to each individual and their work-out (no mean feat!). Their first question is always "How is the body feeling today?" and that is so they can gauge where you are at and respond accordingly: the mark of any good trainer/teacher/coach. All the trainers are responsive and knowledgeable in their own ways, but I have worked closely with Shannon on a personal fitness journey and she is consistently kind, conscientious and supportive. She is an exceptional trainer who combines expertise with kindness, always offering unwavering support and motivation to help every client succeed. Her patience and encouragement creates such a welcoming environment where everyone feels empowered to push their limits. If you are looking for a gym that provides individualised support and helps you achieve your fitness goals with knowledgeable, kind trainers, then this is the place!

Fantastic experience: Nutrition advice While initially a bit apprehensive, embarking on the nutrition journey with Danielle Marcato has been transformative. We gained insights into our eating habits and learned about the nutritional value of different foods, which allowed us to make informed changes to our diet. The process of monitoring meals and regular consultations initially felt odd but quickly grew into a fun exchange with Danielle about different recipes, cooking tips, shopping, and restaurants. The consultations were warm, friendly and importantly non-judgmental. To my relief, Danielle still allowed me to drink beer. Fantastic experience: The allied health trainers at Body Place are fantastic, and I've been attending for many years now. The individualised exercise programs are provided within small groups. My fitness and core strength have definitely improved and I generally feel stronger. I'm now embarking on a running program with the careful encouragement of staff, which I never thought I would be able to do, with my knee issues. I enjoy having a laugh with the team as well! I always leave feeling happier about my health. I recommend Body Place, especially for anyone hesitant about gyms, or for anyone who wants lots of encouragement to achieve goals.

Fantastic experience: Hi, I want to commend Body Place and it's team - Jacqui at the helm - for a fantastic gym experience. I am 60 years old and appreciate so much that the classes at Body Place are tailored to your individual abilities and needs. I wanted to do some cardio and some strength training. The instructor - always a friendly soul - will put each client (usually 8 to 12 per class) on a cardio machine to warm up - there are varied machines and plenty to work with - and will then come around and demonstrate 3 exercises to do for 3 repeats, at which point they reappear with three more. I attend Mon to Fri and the exercises are always varied and super interesting. My figure has improved but more importantly my stamina, strength and overall health has improved. The Body Place App is easy to use and the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. I genuinely like the other participants. Taking my classes at Body Place is a wholesome, healthy and happy experience that I look forward to everyday. Thank you Jacqui and team for being so considerate and professional to each and every one of us. Plus I like the music! Fantastic experience: Bodyplace is the only gym that has successfully kept me motivated to attend regularly. A 45 minute session goes by so quickly and l love that it is personalised and challenging. My level of fitness has really improved and l love the pleasant muscle soreness the following day. The staff are professional, informative, caring, understanding, friendly and fun. Fantastic experience: Body Place is ‘the place to be’. It is a fitness centre that focuses in you as a person rather than someone who wants a work out. The personal trainers all have tertiary qualifications and are interested in you as a person, not just someone who needs to be trained. There is a sense of belonging to a community where wellbeing and friendships are in someway more important to fitness and pushing yourself. Of course there is also a commitment to ensuring that each individual is being their best self and encouragement to exceed personal expectations.

Fantastic experience: Body Place is most certainly ‘the place’. I’ve had a terrible relationship with exercise (hate it) for most of my life and as a result, a poor relationship with my body. Since joining Body Place 3 months ago, I absolutely love training, and it’s all because of the incredible environment here. It’s not your average gym, there are no ‘gym heads’ here. It’s knowledgeable, supportive, encouraging staff and friendly fellow clients who are all dealing with their own journeys. This is the environment to make you thrive, if you really struggle with self belief, exercise enjoyment or low motivation. I’ve started the nutrition program here too to assist me to reach my goals and improve my overall health. A holistic approach is offered and the staff are so incredibly lovely. I’ve gradually increased my weekly sessions and cannot be grateful that Body Place is now my Happy Place. X

Fantastic experience: my time here has been terrific, the expertise from all of the staff is second to none, and the group sessions are amazing to keep you engaged in your program and on track for your goals. Sammi did an amazing job in our consult and created a really thorough and effective program for me with everything I had in mind and extras that I couldn’t even think of. No matter who is taking the group PT session, they are always super friendly, attentive and helpful with my form or any questions I have. The atmosphere is perfect and welcoming to everyone regardless of background, experience or ability, and I’ve really enjoyed that change of pace from tradition gyms. An all around excellent place for whatever goals or needs u might have, I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this gym enough. Tailored workouts for you and great supportive staff. I started working out here after not working out for over a year, with being newly diagnosed with MS I was at a completely different level than I was used to and overwhelmed but my low energy levels and capabilities. The staff here were incredibly supportive and always tailor the workouts to suit my energy levels for the day. It has been the perfect environment for me to ease my way back into working out and getting fit again and I can’t thank the team here enough.

Fantastic experience: I met with Jacquii prior to a 7 day trial after trying (and not liking) an F45 style gym. I'd experienced some minor injuries in the past from incorrect technique and was looking for a gym where I'd be supported to learn the proper technique and build my confidence. What I really like about Body Place is the individual attention and tailoring of my workout sessions to meet my personal goals and improve my strength and fitness over time. The trainers are qualified, knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely interested in supporting everyone towards their goals. Over time I've increased both my cardio and strength fitness, and maintained consistency. I've learnt the correct techniques for the various exercises and the trainers are always quick to correct me if I am not in the right position. I feel much more confident in my abilities now. I've made many friends, both with the trainers and other class mates. We've learnt about each other's goals and exciting life milestones. Although I don't love exercising I do really enjoy catching up with everyone in the session and don't want to miss out on the latest updates in each other's lives. In the lead up to my wedding, I set an ambitious goal to look like James Bond! Haha. Really what that meant was I wanted to focus on building my upper body (shoulders and arms) so I could look my best on my wedding day. The team worked with me to incorporate more upper body aspects to my sessions. They kept things interesting by changing up the exercises and over time I noticed an increase in my strength and felt more toned. Both the trainers and classmates were excited for me which helped keep me motivated and on track. By the time it came to my wedding day I was feeling so happy, excited, healthy and like I was glowing from the inside out. I felt proud walking down the aisle in my tux and while I haven't yet received a call to be the next Bond, I couldn't be happier. I'd highly recommend Body Place to anyone who is looking for a tailored approach to group personal training. It's great to have your own personal cheer squad!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Shannon for a little while now along with my hubby for various ailments and exercise programs to do at home alongside the gym session with Shannon. She is the most welcoming and helpful EP I have been with. I highly recommend a consult with Shannon if you need some assistance post surgery, dealing with Osteo, injuries, strength training etc and are not sure where to start. Programs are emailed and reviewed. I feel Shannon has assisted me on my road to recovery and I will no longer blindly sign up at a gym. I need guidance and Shannon offers me that, working towards my fitness goals.

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend Allied Fitness. I have been seeing Sarah Tilley Exercise Physiologist for a while now. Being Deaf/Hearing Impaired and having multiple injuries I was skeptical that Sarah could provide me with what I needed to help manage my pain and provide me with a program that catered specifically to my needs. During our first meeting Sarah asked me questions and actually listened to what I had to say. Not only was Sarah the professional but she was kind, thoughtful, caring, understanding and most importantly very patient when communicating with me making sure I understood everything. Her knowledge and passion for the industry made me see that I could trust her to come up with a way to help me. Sarah was able to design a program that was suited specifically to my needs and it has helped me a lot being able to maintain & manage my pain and I actually look forward to it. The one thing that Sarah constantly provides me with is her support and loyalty in my journey. So if you truly want a change & someone to help you along your journey I highly recommend Sarah at Allied Fitness.

Fantastic experience: Highly Recommend! I came to see Sarah Tilley due to a chronic injury. She was professional, approachable and very knowledgeable. Before coming to her I thought I was going to have to live with my injury but I have seen amazing results, I have next to no pain, increased mobility and total belief that if i stick with her program that I will be completely pain free. I could not be happier :)

Fantastic experience: Sarah is a brilliant exercise physiologist. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Psoriasis . I find exercise scary . But Sarah is friendly and supportive and very motivating. Her program for me is excellent.

Positive experience: I have had an injury to my shoulder for a number of weeks. However, with a couple of visits to Sarah, she has set up a program of exercises for me to follow myself outside my sessions at the gym. As well, Sarah has also informed all the Trainers at LYTB of my injury and to adjust my workload accordingly. This has been fantastic for my ongoing recovery.

Fantastic experience: I first consulted Sarah Tilley in early 2018 with knee and back pain, Sarah suggested some strengthening exercises which could be incorporated into my sessions at the gym. These proved very successful and alleviated the problem with my back and to some extent with my right knee. However, in the case of my knee the arthritis was very bad, in May this year I had a total right knee replacement, thanks to Sarah I am walking normally without discomfort and in fact attending the gym for my normal sessions without problems for I am most grateful.

The detailed approach she took to help me out to recover with my years of shoulder injury has helped me heaps! Fantastic experience: With a chronic shoulder injury Sarah has been fantastic developing and progressing an exercise program to support healing and now strengthening. She has provided a simple program to follow at home, (because it was simple it has meant I have stuck with it), and there is a great connection with the gym so the trainers are able to provide ongoing support in between sessions as well. The service has been great helping me manage my injury and heal.

Fantastic experience: At the recommendation of my Physio I had an intro session with Sarah, an exercise physiologist, and began attending the classes once a week. These are tailored specifically to you and the issues you are having. They are great and small so you don’t feel overwhelmed. Sarah is friendly and professional and is always there if you have any questions. Highly recommend it if you are struggling with injury or getting back into exercise

Fantastic experience: Following a four week stay in hospital and a follow-on week in a rehabilitation centre, I convinced the doctors that I could leave rehab and attend a local service. I selected Allied Fitness Moonee Ponds as Sarah is a qualified Exercise Physiologist. I commenced with twice weekly private sessions, which gradually reduced to weekly and now attend the small group sessions. Sarah is very good at creating a work program that challenges you without being too difficult. The others in the group are friendly. Overall, I am enjoying the program.
To think that you're still as committed as ever to your dedicated 10.30am sessions Mark. Always a pleasure seeing you in our classes. Your consistency is admirable!
Fantastic experience: I first met Sarah to assist in chronic neck pain as part of the Exercise Physiology program. I started with a at home program. Sarah went through the program showing proper technique and we have worked together to expand my program and focus. I started to attend classes which have been great as it gives you variety and confidence, while working out independently in a small class environment. Highly recommend Sarah to assist in working towards a healthier and stronger you.

Positive experience: I suffer from osteo arthritis and found Sarah to be very professional and understanding of my needs and limitations in tailoring an exercise regime for me. Rather than dreading exercising I really enjoyed it.

Fantastic experience: Following a diagnosis of osteopaenia, my GP recommended I take up an exercise regime to increase my bone density and avoid developing osteoporosis. He referred me to Sarah at Allied Fitness who worked with me to establish an exercise routine that I could stick to and practice at home in conjunction with attending a gym for the first time ever! Her friendly and professional approach encouraged me to stay on track and I now actually enjoy fitting exercise into my busy life routine! I would happily recommend Sarah to anyone needing the advice of an exercise physiologist in the treatment of their condition - it's great to feel like you have a degree of control over such ailments and how they might affect you!

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Sarah as part of my GP Diabetes Type 2 Management plan covered by Medicare. This has proven to be a helpful turning point for me to do what I had been putting off for twenty years. I would strongly recommend others to talk to their GP, get a management plan in place which includes a referral to Allied Fitness at Moonee Ponds. You will not regret working with Sarah to implement the changes you know you need to make. It is working for me!
