Fantastic experience: Cheap and cheerful, 24hrs access, has all the equipment necessary to get a good workout and decent selection of cardio equipment.
Negative experience: Terrible Customer Service – Avoid if You Value Your Time and Money I tried to cancel my gym membership the day before my next weekly payment. Sent an email at 10am, well in advance. The only response I got was at 12:55am—after midnight on Friday. By then, the payment had already been attempted. To make things worse, I had lost my bank card, so the auto-debit failed, and I was hit with a $30 failed transaction fee. I spoke to the gym manager who said he’d “look into it” and call me back. He never did. I followed up again, and he said someone from accounts would call me. They didn’t. Called again—this time he gave me a direct number for the accounts team. I called that number multiple times a day for four days straight. No answer. I also tried calling the manager and the gym itself during open hours. Still nothing. At this point, it’s clear they just don’t care once they’ve got your money. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Negative experience: What a joke!! I did not say anything negative about NZ , nice way to deflect. I love NZ which is completely irrelevant Your company is from NZ. Trading under an Australian registered business name. It’s not hard to find this information. Many people in the community are furious and sharing the same scam story. Ozzy Fitness is the common denominator in all these complaints, the victims are not the problem. We can’t all be liers!! ***Edited with response to yours.. — If miscommunication, why is no one replying? I sent medical certificate.. — Your positive reviews are fake - people bribed with chance of wining Fitbit !! —Your sign says no contracts, another false claim , just like your business name ( The company is actually from NZ) Ben + Maddi, I don’t know who thought up this scam to deliberately trick honest, trusting people . Maddi, you seem like a nice girl, don’t use it do bad things, I trusted you and I think you need to ask yourself is this the type of person you want to be. I have spoken to at least 6 other members who also discovered they had been tricked into a contract and the same spiel was done on them. These people have planned this deception down to the T! It is not miscommunication it’s planned deception . There’s too many witnesses to support your dodgy, scamming business model. Ozzy Fitness are ignoring me on email, messenger and even on here they copy and paste the same response. Come on guys, the gigs up, take some accountability and do the right thing!! Money can’t buy a clear conscience. It’s not the ‘ OZZY’ way but this company isn’t even from Australia , they are a New Zealand company so I guess that’s why they don’t have the true blue Aussie spirit! Fake in every way. Absolute scammers!! The girl takes you out back, does a speal , mentions several times , free to cancel, cancel anytime . Like most you trust that your entering in to a cancel anytime arrangement. Then taken to the front to pay a joining fee, asked to sign a direct debit form which is zoomed in on the sign here area. They make you think your signing to permit direct debit payment, in fact boom you just signed a 36 month contract. I tried to cancel not 7 days later due to an injury flair , this is when they sent me a contract I had never seen in my life . The direct debit agreement with a built in contract they do not show you! SCAMMERS DESPERATE FOR A DOLLAR HOW PATHETIC AND EMBARRASSING ARE YOU!

Fantastic experience: ❤️❤️I love what Ozzy Fitness Upper Ferntree Gully is doing and what they have done to the facility they have fixed management up and have made so much improvements great new owners i can't stand how people are bad mouthing the gym and saying they are scammers this is very sad as the new owners and management are fantastic also for the ones on contracts take ownership for your actions and stop blaming the gym grow up

Fantastic experience: Loving my new pair of headsets, thanks Ozzy Fitness! I don't understand what some of these "critics" are on about. it seems like they don't take their training or fitness goals seriously. I really appreciate the new equipment you've added; it makes all the difference. I can’t stand the big franchise gyms and they are double some even triple the price. I finally found a place close to home to train and work hard. Even better owned and operated by an Aussie family. Keep up the great work, Ozzy Fitness!
Fantastic experience: I have signed up on the 36 month lock in and im very happy with the gym staff and owners i am not one to usually write reviews however im a little confused that people write negative reviews due to being locked in on a contract, people.should take ownership for their own sign ups etc don't blame the gym for you signing for the cheaper price then complaining you are locked in, the gym is awesome and so are the staff and owners.

Negative experience: They use misleading tactics to lock people into long-term contracts, during our conversation on Messenger, I asked "whats the contract for the headphones", they dodged the question and just told me to join—never mentioning the cancellation fee nor the long term contract. Whilst talking, the price of the membership started at $7.95 as advertised, but by the end of the conversation it ended up being $10.95 as the owner stated, unsure if he was getting confused or what. In their facebook description it states that there is "No contracts" despite this, the owner said to me there was, only in person was I told this information despite me asking this numerous times on messenger Additionally within their facebook post promoting their open day, they advertised "Google review for a fitbit" it wasn't a google review for a fitbit, it was a google review to get entered to win a fitbit. Obviously want to hide the fact that all the other reviews are stating that they are scamming their customers by getting more 5 star fake google reviews. The business has been avoiding messaging me back on Messenger after I stated what they were doing was a violation of googles terms of service and how this is extremely misleading and scummy. I would suggest not falling into their trap and go elsewhere.

Negative experience: This gym is trying to scam myself and my partner out of money. The gym has delayed the cancellation process and is trying to charge us funds we do not owe them. Don’t sign up here, they are from interstate and do not have your best interest at heart.

We respect your opinion, but as a small family-run business, we are unsure how being interstate is relevant to your transaction, as discussed in our email correspondence. We understand your frustrations and concerns and truly wish we could have reached a more positive resolution.
That said, we are always striving to improve our facility for all members. We’ve already made several major upgrades, including:
- Fixing the uneven flooring in the stretching room and repainting the walls for a brighter, fresher look
- Repairing and replacing gym equipment based on member feedback
- Securing all loose equipment for safety
- Ordering new equipment, including a Smith machine and a chip/dip machine, which are on the way
- Planning an outdoor workout area at the back for members to enjoy
- Upgrading all toiletries and bathroom amenities
- Expecting delivery of brand-new benches in the coming weeks
- Developing a more efficient system for easier member access
- Increasing staffed hours to better support our members
- Updating our security system with 24/7 response for member safety
- Scheduling professional cleaning 2–3 times per week to maintain a clean and hygienic space
We remain committed to continuously improving the gym to provide the best possible experience for our members and have definitely made positive changes for our members since takeover.

Thank you for reaching out the gym is under new managment was previously fit n firm now to Ozzy 24hr Fitness we have scheduled cleaners twice a week attending the gym also unsure what you mean about small amount of working machines. We have the machines scheduled for fortnightly maintenace and quality assurance. I will look into your account today and see why that has happened again we are under new management and will have this rectified asap.

Negative experience: gym is alright but service and system is corrupted. signed up during a special for 3 months + 3 months free. wouldn’t allow me to pay the whole 3 months at once and insist i pay weekly. have since been charged every week for almost 7 months before i realised ( was out of state for work during the supposed free time) and have call numinous times to cancel to membership and have been told i will be call back another time. am currently taking up the matter with the bank.
Negative experience: Disappointing, facility looks good and people are nice. The offer on website said first 3 months free, it’s not.
Fantastic experience: Affordable Gym good for average people like myself.
Fantastic experience: what a great gym, not too small, not too big, it's the goldilocks gym. very knowledgeable staff, very helpful in achieving your goals. close to my home, which makes attending an easy routine. I do both weight training with assistance from Amy, and the cardio with John, both valued Personal Trainers. overall, I highly recommend this gym, and has made a huge difference in my fitness. even my partner attends.
Negative experience: Similar experience to the reviewer below. They were not reasonable when leaving the gym after 18 months' membership - actually didn't even respond to email about a lost bank card delaying a single $19 payment and the payments then jumping to $50. They use DebitSuccess and you can read reviews of that company online before joining.
Negative experience: A really great little gym that's unfortunately left a nasty taste after I cancelled mine and my son's membership with them a year ago, and they continued to charge my bank account each week since for my son's account even though we cancelled them at the same time. When I complained, they told me because there's no written evidence of the cancellation, it's too bad. It's a shame they didn't think to provide me with something in writing when I cancelled. But they say it's my own fault for not asking for written confirmation. Pretty disappointing end to something that started so well.

Negative experience: Don't use this gym. They are only about money and do not care about their members.
Negative experience: Totally ripping off! I Haven’t been to gym for months and been asking to stop taking money, but in return I got “we’ll take two more weeks” since you need to pay four weeks after you cancel while it was never mentioned on joining and even on signing the cancellation form. Totally disappointed!
Positive experience: Multiple equipment items require maintenance, with handles missing and a lot of loose bolts. The 24/7 access is a great value though and staff are more than happy to set up good programs.
Positive experience: A small exercise/weight training centre with all the equipment I need for strength training. As a shift worker, I am able to utilise the 24/7 aspect and generally have the place to myself.
Fantastic experience: I have been attending Fit n Firm Upper Ferntree Gully since the gym opened.There is easy parking and the gym is readily accessible and well equipped. The staff are friendly and welcoming and keen to assist with health and fitness. I have been having on going personal training which is improving my fitness greatly. I would highly recommend this gym.

Positive experience: Preety good set up, Outdoors area needs some loving. Please upgrade your cardio equipment as it is bulky & not smooth. Matrix is the way too go and would add a bit more wow factor! Strength equipment is great but, severely limited which i understand due to to gym floor constraints. Staff very friendly and welcoming!
