Zap Fitness 24/7 Burnie

Fantastic experience: Outstanding the staff were great and were able to accommodate my needs. The boxing room was just what I was after. The other thing I need to mention is how relaxed they were about my assistance dog, did not bat an eyelid. The gym was busy with a nice amount of people training and again the staff were great with her. Their understanding of how assistance animals work was a relief unlike other training gyms in the area. So Smurf and I will definitely be back for some more beasting.

Negative experience: Seriously! Nightmare with the absolutely atrocious cruddy "music" they literally BLAST out of the speakers! Honestly! I'm gonna cancel because of this! Avoid!

Positive experience: I have been a regular member for the past two years. Overall, I was happy with the services, but I recently terminated my membership due to an incident with a staff member. On October 17, 2024, around 12:30 PM, I asked a question, and the staff member responded rudely. He had headphones on and seemed disturbed by my inquiry, as it interrupted his music. This interaction was disappointing, especially given my previous positive experiences. I recommend that Zap Burnie recruit more mature staff and provide training on proper behavior toward valued members. Thank you for considering my feedback.

Positive experience: Since I originally reviewed this business they seem to have made an effort to reduce the speed of the big fans and the volume of music. I noticed at my last visit I was able to hold a conversation with the person on the machine beside me and I also didn't get as severe vertigo.

Negative experience: Great facility, but for some reason the fans are on a timer which prevents them from running through a large portion of the night and early morning, so early or late training can be needlessly sweaty and uncomfortable. Lights and sound system power on and off with user activity, so it seems like an easy to fix issue. Update: after months of trying to have this resolved through multiple forms of contact (zap survey, contact form on website, Google reviews) no discernible action has been taken and the gym is still hot and stuffy at night with inadequate air conditioning and the fans unable to be turned on until 4:30am. I'm almost certain that just over a year ago this was not an issue and the fans ran on the same activity sensing system as the lights and music.

Fantastic experience: Zap Burnie has been my gym for quite a while now. Jack is awesome, the equipment is extensive, 24/7 is always a winner, and where else can we have all this with parking at the front door for less than two coffees per week?

Fantastic experience: Been meaning to leave this gym a review since we left Burnie in Feb! Partner and I were in the town for a few months work. This gym is fantastic.. the best Zap branch we ever visited and we visited a lot! Manager goes above and beyond and has really hot the place looking well and somewhere you’d want to go to work out.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, everything is pretty much covered, excellent attentive staff. I used the Flexi membership which meant I could cancel at any time with one month's notice (since I was waiting on my own fitness equipment so I was bridging the gap) and my only concern going in was seeing a number of reviews online about payment problems after cancellation. However, I have also worked in the industry and know how often people don't read/understand their contracts and get unduly upset... So I went with it and can now report that the cancellation process could not have gone more smoothly and to-the-letter. I can highly recommend this gym all round, and would use again in the future if it doesn't work out with my own gear.

Positive experience: Zap Fitness is like almost every other gym these days. It has everything you need for a work out. It could do with a few more lifting platforms and people could have a bit more gym etiquette and strip their barbells of weights after they have finished and learn how to properly use a gym towel. Otherwise a usable gym.

Positive experience: Its a good sized gym with plenty of equipment. Staff are friendly however I am not sure of they have specific training or offer fitness advice.
