Fantastic experience: Fernwood has completely transformed my relationship with the gym. I used to struggle with severe gym anxiety, but from the moment I stepped through the doors, I felt nothing but welcomed. The atmosphere here is warm, inviting, and free from intimidation, something I never thought I’d experience in a gym. The staff are absolutely incredible; they not only make you feel seen and supported every time you walk in but also go out of their way to check in on you with regular calls, ensuring you’re feeling comfortable and confident in your journey. The cleanliness of the gym is next level. The staff are constantly going above and beyond to maintain spotless facilities, which makes every visit feel fresh and energising. On top of that, the gym layout is spacious and well thought out, so you never feel crammed or overwhelmed just free to move, focus, and enjoy your workout without stress. Fantastic experience: I've been training at Fernwood Petrie for a few years and honestly as a mum and business owner, this space properly thought out. The childcare setup means I am consistent with my training instead of trying to squeeze it in whenever. The lounge area's become my second home. After my session, I have some breakky that they provide, grab a coffee, open the laptop, actually get things done. Chuck in a sauna session and the hotel worthy shower with all the extras **chefs kiss** What I love MOST about being here is that there is Zero intimidation. Just a bunch of women doing their thing, no weird vibes. The staff are ALWAYS so warm and inviting. They’re genuinely very helpful and make you feel at home the moment you walk in. It feels like somewhere you want to be, not have to be.

Fantastic experience: I joined Fernwood Petrie a month ago and I have had such a good experience so far! I love the group fitness classes, the instructors and all the staff are so lovely, accomodating and supportive. The gym is kept super clean and the aircon and fans keep the place perfectly cool. Oh and I love the sauna too! Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member on and off for years. Currently attend Petrie gym. I LOVE reformer pilates with Miriam Tuesday night and I love yoga on a Thursday evening. I just started doing a circuit class Wednesday night which I found a lot of fun. The instructors allow you to work at your own fitness level and gently push you to improve. It's all female therefore I always feel safe and comfortable. The locker, shower and rest rooms are fully equiped for women with hair dryers and essentials if you need to go back to work. Membership is VERY affordable compared to other gyms and the facilities themselves are superior to many other gyms (Fernwood have ALL the latest machines). Fernwood have lots of free classes available as well that cater for working ladies AND stay home Mums (they even have child minding). No mater what your fitness level or work out preference you will love Fernwood. I have joined other gyms over the years but I ALWAYS returned to Fernwood.

Fantastic experience: I found the equipment training session super useful, Kim showed me what weights I should start on and suggested a routine i could follow. I've been using it since! I joined this holidays and it's usually quite empty, and makes me feel more confident with my low starting weights haha. I love fernwood, so comfortable with the staff and classes :) There's also coffee and breakfast! Can't weight to progress this holidays and eventually throughout uni. My uni also has a gym but I've been too nervous to go there, despite it being cheaper, fernwood's also a great starting gym for young women if you're nervous and want to start working out.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym, i feel very comfortable being around all the staff, they make me feel welcoming and i don’t feel judged. Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Fernwood Petrie for over 8 years, over that period I've had 3 baby boys and have returned when I was ready and always felt so welcomed and supported! I now come early morning to get my exercise done before work, I appreciate all the effort the trainers put in at 5:30am in the morning. Sel x

Fantastic experience: A great gym! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Great support throughout the gym. There’s a wide variety of classes, reformer, sauna, stretch room and much more. I have utilised the creche since my boy was 5 months old and being a first time mum that is daunting, but the girls in the room are soo caring and understanding. Definitely recommend Fernwood Petrie

Fantastic experience: I joined 2 years ago and have never looked back. I am always greeted with a smile and feel very comfortable and not self conscious . The Pilates classes are wonderful and really help with developing hip mobility and core stregth! I cannot rate Fernwood fitness Petrie highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I'm a new member here and love it! The facilities are great and friendly atmosphere. Not too overcrowded from late morning onwards. I feel much more comfortable here than any other gym I've been too. ✨

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Fernwood Petrie for 15 years now. It is such a warm, welcoming club and the staff are fabulous. My daughters, who started in the Fernwood creche, are now members too. We all love coming here together.

Negative experience: Possibly the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Was contacted by head office with a trial offer, was very keen as I have been looking for a gym in my area that also has crech. Upon arriving the staff member was not interested as I was there for the trial and kept pushing paperwork at me saying my only options were 12 month or 18 month memberships. I explained over and over again wasn't having it. Wouldn't show me any of the facilities until I paid $169 on boarding fee. Such a rude person, I went from being very excited to start a new gym to absolutely discussed with the way they treated me.
Hi Samantha, We are sorry you feel this way, however our staff member did in fact show you around the facilities, and also explained to you that the offer you had received had expired over a week ago as per the email you received. She then spoke to you about our membership options of a 12 or 18 month term, and our flexi option and also gave you the option of our current promotions, all of which were unsuitable to you. We are sorry our club isn't the right fit for you and wish you all the best in your health and fitness goals.
Fantastic experience: Recently joined Fernwood Fitness Petrie and oh my goodness it is fabulous! The staff and the owner are amazing, the equipment is great the the atmosphere is chilled. I love that I can leave my daughter in the crèche and not have to worry for an hour or two. Awesome place!

Fantastic experience: I recently joined Fernwood Petrie and am enjoying the experience. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the facilities are immaculate. The classes are suitable for all fitness levels and ages. I am so glad I made the decision to join.

Fantastic experience: This club is wonderful, the classes, and equipment are awesome, the staff are so amazing, friendly, helpful, kind and they have really great instructors and trainers. The creche is so great for my bub the staff are incredible, i feel safe and secure leaving her in their experienced hands! Hands down recommend this club!

Fantastic experience: I joined Fernwood Petrie in September. I really enjoy going. Staff are very friendly and it's a great atmosphere. The equipment is kept up to date and easy access times. There are plenty of different classes available to accommodate all ages and fitness. A great fitness centre for women.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love the gym!! The team and trainers there are amazing so friendly and supportive. They are also great to chat to if you need any advice or for encouragement if you need that little bit of a push. The crèche for the children is awesome! They do so much fun and creative things with the children sometimes my children don’t even want to leave.

Negative experience: Unprofessional, passive aggressive, misinformed staff. Calls and concerns were not answered or addressed in a timely matter. I expressed countless times both via email in writing and over the phone that I wanted to cease my membership at the end of contract, only to be told "we never received your emails". I then showed proof of the emails I sent - which were DATED 3 MONTHS PRIOR to this face to face conversation, only to still be refused a refund/backpay and am now hundreds of dollars out of pocket for a service I haven''t used in 8-9+ months. Appalling behaviour and service.
Hi Zoe, We are sorry you are upset that we didn't respond to your emails, however when you did come in and show us that you had been sending the emails to an incorrect email address, we did cancel your membership on the spot regardless of our 28 day cancellation policy as stated in your contract with us. Fantastic experience: Love this place, excellent facilities, always helpful staff, great workout tips, great classes for all ages, classes running all the time, gym equipment is fantastic!!!
Positive experience: I attended their open day in September. I really enjoyed the class, the facilities were top notch and the crèche was amazing! I didn’t end up signing up as it was too far from home and a little to pricey for me, but for those who can afford it, it would be a great community to be apart of!

Negative experience: Avoid by any means, rude, unprofessional, eventually trying to extort you for unexisting debt, there are much better gyms in the area, my wife had a whole year of harassment from this people.

Fantastic experience: my second home away from kids and it's men free great atmosphere,friendly staff.lots of underground parking and lift.there is nothing to not like the facility and the people here and if you find one then something is definitely wrong with you!have classes here free with membership and they also have weekly fitness challenges which you pay extra but it will be worth it at the end if you can afford it.also they have daycare which is $5/session or $10/fortnight and you get unlimited sessions.
