Fantastic experience: Great gym, kind people - especially Kelly who restored my faith back in Fernwood after a highly unfair and distressful experience at FERNWOOD NEWSTEAD Thank you Kelly.

Negative experience: I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but my experience with Fernwood Chermside was beyond disappointing. When I signed up, I clearly stated I was only visiting and leaving the country at the end of the month. The staff assured me that this notice would serve as my membership cancellation. A week before my flight, I returned my key, only to be told that my cancellation notice starts now, meaning I’d be charged for an extra month. This contradicts what they initially told me, and I feel misled. Additionally, I was told by a staff member it was perfectly fine to leave my kids in the members lounge while I train. Which I then did. Then while I was training, I was approached by one of the staff and was told i cannot leave my child unattended. So they told me I can move him to the reception area where he will be more comfortable, which i then did. Then a minute later I was again approached and was told they do not have enough staff to be babysitting. The lack of consistency and professionalism was shocking. My first day at the gym was also my last day but I was willing to pay for the rest of the month as my membership was ending anyways. Not knowing they will still be charging my twice after the date they initially told me will be last debit date. Like many others who’ve had issues with cancellation and poor service, I cannot recommend this gym.

Positive experience: Really welcoming environment, feel comfortable here. The equipment and facilities are very outdated however. There aren’t as many machine weights as other Fernwood’s I have visited, and the treadmills etc are very old.

Fantastic experience: I’ve never felt so comfortable in a gym space! The service and atmosphere is amazing. Ebony is always so friendly and helpful and my daughters love visiting the crèche staff

Positive experience: This gym is fine. Has all the basic equipment you need. I transferred here from the Carindale Fernwood, and I really don’t understand why I have to pay a few extra dollars each week here when the Carindale gym is newer, has more equipment, more workout zones, bigger rooms, massage chairs, and friendlier staff.

Fantastic experience: The thing that makes a gym amazing is the staff and Fernwood Chermside certainly has that ! The trainers are always safety conscious and accomodating to help each class suit your needs . There are a lot of different classes to choose from ,staff are really friendly it’s a great place to train .

Fantastic experience: The staff are amazing. So friendly, warm and supportive. Gym is always clean. It's never very busy so you can exercise in private. No men hogging all the equipment and making grunting noises, hogging the mirrors. Definitely worth the price to work out in style and comfort. Plenty of showers so you never have to be late for work waiting for a free shower.

Negative experience: Signs you up for spam promo texts just from walking past to get to the car park. May as well just start cold calling. Not interested, never have been.

Fantastic experience: Just wanna give a big shout out and thankyou to Alanah one of Chermside fernwoods pt's. She taught 3 back to back classes on thur and it was absolutely amazing! I do the 3 back to back classes regularly and can normally do an afternoon training session as well. I am extremely fit, however Alanah is the first trainer to have pushed me to my maximum limit and it felt amazing! It is so great to see trainers helping and caring so we can achieve amazing results!Thankyou!

Negative experience: Professional scam artists. Disgusting. God help anyone who tries to cancel their membership.

Negative experience: I followed all the right channels and cancelled my membership with them in January this year and they are STILL taking money out of my account! I have contacted them on numerous occasions to rectify this and it is still not sorted. Very poor customer service and poor communication. I am not the only one this has happened to either!

Negative experience: I've been trying to cancel my gym membership since Easter this Year and to my horror money is still being taken out I've continued to phone and leave messages at theFernwood Gym Chermside with no replies on the Mobile and business number. Not happy.

Positive experience: I wish I could give this specific Fernwood gym branch a better rating. I am a huge fan of Fernwood gyms but this branch was truly disappointing. I found this gym to have limited equipment, the bathrooms looked squashed and tired and I just generally feel like this gym is an after thought. It seems like the venue is just not big enough to host a flagship gym. The Chatswood version or even Lawnton would put this gym to shame. It does not feel like an elite and private women’s club which is a real shame. If the venue changed I would consider joining but the parking on that level is also a nightmare and it’s just not the right place for this gym in my view. There is definitely no pool and possibly also no sauna from memory either?

Fantastic experience: Awesome as gym! :) Friendly staff ,amazing services...Such as classes are all included in the price and childcare. Comes at a price, but is great so you can work out not having to worry so much on your children. And as well provided of free breakfast and the use of space to kick back and have a cup of tea :)

Negative experience: Enter a competition once to win a free membership and they use your details to call and hound you relentlessly. Join the gym and become unwell and don't attend and no one cares to check (despite what they tell you during your orientation). Hardly any equipment or trainers on to show you how to use it, most of the staff are just there a receptionists

Fantastic experience: I feel so happy walking into this gym, the staff are so friendly and happy to help when I need it, the classes are great! I would encourage anyone to join up here :)
