Club Lime Googong

Fantastic experience: • Facilities: The gym is well-equipped with a variety of machines and free weights. There’s also a dedicated area for functional training and stretching. • Cleanliness: The facilities are clean and well-maintained, including the locker rooms and showers. • Staff: The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Personal trainers are approachable and offer great support.

Fantastic experience: Thank you for making me feel welcome whilst visiting your gym. Christian greeted me each day and remembered our conversations. It was a lovely experience and will definitely be back when I visit Googong again !

Fantastic experience: very clean gym and at a great location. Staff are friendly and always willing to help out, particularly Christian. Outside of peak hours (4-7pm) the gym is pretty quiet so equipment is usually free.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym, it's easy, accessible and has nice staff, it's nothing special but it's exactly what I need it to be. I can hit whatever I want basically and when squat racks come back I have a full routine with no hassles, I'm patient so squat rack is not only not an issue but it excites me now it's returning.

Negative experience: they kicked me out for screaming my favorite word, never shopping here again.

Negative experience: Fix the air conditioning already

Negative experience: FIX THE AIR CON AND CLEAN THIS GYM FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!! The air con has been broken for over 2 MONTHS and their solution is two inadequate portable ones to service the entire gym, that are currently leaking water all over the floor. Further, this gym is DISGUSTING AND DIRTY with red mold and congealed grime and dust growing on the water station, filthy toilets, layers of dust and grime on everything and the most disgusting floors I’ve ever seen (see the first image taken from a 20cm section of floor). They are almost NEVER staffed despite their supposed timetable, broken equipment or facilities remain broken for months on end and the only thing that seems to make them take action are NEGATIVE GOOGLE REVIEWS. I’m told they don’t care because they’ve reached over the capacity of membership they targeted for Googong, but happy to keep taking money as the only bloody gym in town. ABSOLUTELY VILE.

Negative experience: Worse gym ever, running monopoly business locally. During their renovation last month, the gym was closed for 1 week. They charged us for the week and asked to go Queanbeyan club, which is 20 min drive. How cheap and greedy. Do not recommend anyone, very basic equipment and doesn’t worth the money

Negative experience: This club has had major equipment out of action for an extended period of time. I joined during this time so was aware of the issue but hoped it would be rectified quickly. It was not. My main reason for joining was due to the location so I was still tolerant of the lack of power racks. Then, after many bad reviews they closed the entire gym to finally fix the issue. I contacted the main info email to raise issues with the fact I was no longer receiving the service I paid for - 24hr gym access in Googong. I got an idiotic reply that seemed like they only read the subject line of my email and then pasted in a generic response. So my 1* rating is for the appalling customer service by the head office.

Negative experience: Absolutely abysmal service. Been waiting for a 7 month repair to happen. They then decide to close the gym to make the repair, and provide free access to another one a 12 minute drive away - so convenient with the code of petrol! And then when the club reopens they don’t remove the auto timer so you can’t get in! If only there were a zero star

Negative experience: Taking advantage of having the monopoly. They closed for a week to FINALLY fix the squat and weight area. That's great, but instead of offering a free suspension for a week they say we can travel 30mins (return) to use another gym. When asked if I can get a refund for the week since I cant receive the service I am paying for they declined and said I could suspend my membership for a week (which incurs a suspension fee!). The gym itself is ok in terms of layout (excluding the construction) and the equipment that is serviceable is adequate. It is rarely too busy yet somehow they are always running out of wipes for the equipment. I cannot wait until another gym opens at the new town centre to give them a reason to start trying.

Negative experience: It has been closed for too long now for maintenance. Alternate venue provided. Which is not cost-effective during the current fuel price hike Not a professional way of undertaking maintenance

Fantastic experience: Small gym but clean with helpful staff

Negative experience: A lot of equipment was taken down, prices then went up and 3 months later it’s hasn’t been restored. I’ve seen them build entire gyms in less time. It’s rarely staffed and it shows- never wipes in dispensers despite requests to use them. Mould in the drinking fountain and the floors look like they get cleaned once every few months. Not a happy member. Yes I have tried to make contact- replied with “Manager will make contact ASAP” over a week and haven’t heard anything. Poorly run business that lets the Lime reputation down.

Negative experience: This gym was good for the first couple of years when I was a regular. I was going to join back up but after reading and hearing that there is no squat rack/ bench I think I will go elsewhere. It would be great if there was another gym in Googong to have some competition for club lime

Negative experience: No squat rack, sad to hear the gym think they can get away with not reinstalling as they have the only gym in the town, will continue to go elsewhere, gym is always untidy and I’m not sure how hygienic members taking their dogs to the gym is but have seen one their regularly ‍♀️

Negative experience: All of the recent one star reviews have been removed as spam and 5 star reviews have been purchased to bump up the score. Disgusting that the company has optic for this cowardly tactic rather than address the concerns of their customers. You should be ashamed of yourselves Club Lime.

Negative experience: I was considering switching from Golds gym in Fyshwick to Club Lime Googong, after reading the most recent review and talking to some friends who go/used to go I am very glad I decided not to move. What’s a gym without a squat rack/bench press? As a business you realise without happy customers you will no longer be a viable business in the future, can’t believe the attitude of staff, we have the monopoly here so too bad… Anyone considering moving away from a club lime Googong to a gym that cares, I couldn’t recommends Golds gym any more. They currently have a sign up asking for customer recommendations on new equipment and have already purchased a pendulum squat and other new equipment. Club lime Googong you should be ashamed

Negative experience: Quit a month ago. No squat rack. No bench. Asked to raise the membership fee with no extra value.

Negative experience: Dropping this review on behalf of a friend : Can someone explain why this gym doesn't have a squat rack? The rack was removed 3 months ago for safety reasons and still not put back. Are they any plans to fix it soon ?

Negative experience: A good gym, but small. I had a membership but cancelled it because it was always packed and often difficult to get use of equipment.

Fantastic experience: I am so very happy I came to Club Lime Googong. Vanessa made me feel so welcome and I don't feel like a stranger from out of town when I come each day. She is so friendly on a day to day basis ..has introduced me to other members .. Love love love this gym. Gym is fully equipped and clean

Negative experience: The temperature inside the Googong gym is 29.6 degrees. I have made a complaint two weeks ago at the reception desk and this issue is still not resolved. It is really hot in the gym and it had been like this most of the summer.
