Negative experience: I had the most frustrating experience with Zap Fitness Gym, and I’m beyond upset. I signed up for a membership, and after the contract period ended, I made sure to cancel everything, as agreed upon. But guess what? They still kept charging me MONTHLY for a service I no longer used. I tried contacting service multiple times, but they gave me the runaround, and said you should have cancelled it. They charged me $480 extra. They clearly don’t care about their customers. I was charged for months after my contract expired. I even sent cancellation request and was told the charges would stop, but they didn’t. They got no record as I didn’t had written proof either! It’s honestly ridiculous that a gym with such poor service is getting away with this. They don't even send proper notices when billing, and it feels like they’re just trying to scam you out of your money after you've already left. Save yourself the hassle and avoid Zap Fitness at all costs. If you value your time, money, and sanity, look elsewhere!

Negative experience: Overall decent gym, but if you want to take a shower it's be a bad idea. The water smells of old plumbing and rust. I don't even know if the water's good for the body. The shower pipes are aged as well. Zap's got a lot of people so they should have the money to fix this issue.

Negative experience: Zap fitness arbitrarily will not support students needing work experience. Disgusting behaviour from a large gym like this that won't support the very people needed to work within their industry. Shame on the entire organisation. If you can find a different gym then go elsewhere to a company that will support students.

Negative experience: Don't get scammed into their hidden fees! Ridiculous fees hidden in this gym. Don't get trapped.

Positive experience: Very happy with all the staff members especially Vallen and Tia . Very helpful and friendly atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: My experience at zap fitness has been great. The atmosphere is so welcoming and facilities are clean and sanitary. Vallen is an absolute gun and a great person to have on the desk.

Fantastic experience: Jess was able to help me upload the application on the phone for gym entry as I had the old fob ! And couldn't get the zap app to work! No problem for Jess she looked me up and said oh you have been a member for years ! I told her I used to teach boxing and martial arts upstairs before they tore it done , no problem for Jess she sorted it out! A big thank you to Jess!

Fantastic experience: Been my gym the last 2 years and absolutely love it! Great staff, great equipment. Squat racks galore, kettlebells and good range of machines and cardio area. Jess and the team are always super helpful, it’s a great atmosphere at Zap ⚡️

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to this gym as a member for a while, during this time ZAP are the the current of three owners. I think it's great here; 24hr operation, there's enough of all the relevant kit here, enough space and good separation of weights & cardio areas. It's well priced, plenty of parking and easy to get to fir locals. Also, as with any business, it's largely about the staff you deal with.I've found Jess and Valen here to be excellent. Always a friendly smile and a chat, but also very knowledgeable and helpful.

Fantastic experience: This gym has a great vibe which is created by the manager Jess and Janine, one of the instructors. The team are always pleasant and very friendly, encouraging our fitness. The gym also has 24/7 access. Facilities are kept immaculately clean. Highly recommended. Definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic experience: Huge amount of machines so you never have to wait. Equipment is in great condition and staff have been lovely. Gym is clean, cleaning products and hand sanitiser usually refilled. No idea why people give this place a bad rap. It’s been great for me!

Positive experience: Was going to join but decided on going somewhere with a Pool. I'm a water baby However this Gym is very local and Ca-mon ☺️ 24-7 access is pretty good. Anytime you feel like a Workout or you're just bored or you can't stop that chatter in your head. Seems to be mostly a Man's Gym but hey that's ok. I saw Women too Lots of equipment here for all your needs and the coolest looking Treadmills Clean Tidy Respectful Atmosphere. Change room's lockers Friendly Staff. TVs on the Walls. I'm not a Geek but you can hook your music selection up to a Treadmill And there's plenty of safe parking.

Positive experience: Really nice gym area - potentially one of the biggest Zaps I have seen. Only downside is the machines are a bit outdated but other than that great gym!

Negative experience: Unpleasant experience. Be wary there is a $10 fee if a weekly payment is missed. I was not informed of this when signing up.

Negative experience: Semi-decent gym, equipment good. No classes, no sauna though. The worst part is the annoyingly loud music!! My earphones cannot compete and it makes it hard to focus on your workouts. My suggestions/complaints have repeatedly been ignored. Poor value for money

Negative experience: I am still getting charged even after cancelling my membership. Tried to contact them is useless u go from 7th place in the queue to 2nd and then back on the seventh . The worst experience.

Negative experience: VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE QUALITY OF THEIR EQUIPMENT ITS OLD AND RUSTY AND MOST LIKELY LEFTOVERS FROM GOODLIFE... THEY TOLD ME OVER THE PHONE THAT THEIR EQUIPMENT IS FARLEY UPDATED LOL I THINK NOT CANT BELIEVE PPL ACTUALLY FIND THE MOTIVATION TO EVEN TRAIN THEIR. I WONT BE PAYING ANY CANCELLATION FEES......

Positive experience: Machines are really old! But the vibe is good, It needs more lighting and mirrors.

Negative experience: This gym has so much potential but falls short in so many areas. It's filthy, very dirty. The floors have so much dust and hair/grime on it to the point where you drop your gym towel on the floor, pick it up and it's cover in hair, dust, etc. Additionally, the equipment is old, rusty and outdated. All good if you want an old school vibe, but for $20 per week you would expect something better.

Negative experience: Have just tried at least 10 of the TVs on the treadmills and not a single one works. I’ll be canceling my membership.

Negative experience: this is hands down the worst gym i have ever experienced. prior to signing up i was promised there would be a $2m grant for all new equipment, this was months and months ago. a friend of mine has also gotten stuck in a machine that started to crush her legs & the only staff member in there was the PT, she had to get oil to loosen the machine so my friend was able to get out. if it wasn’t for her there who knows what could’ve happened. the doors are breaking on and off, you arrive for your workout just to be told to go home because the doors will not open. my fob works on and off so some days i am unable to even get into the gym. the only good thing is the staff are lovely bit other than that DO NOT waste your money here. they just want your money. i had high hopes for zap but that very quickly diminished. very disappointed & certainly will not be renewing my contract with zap ever again.

Positive experience: A great place for a workout on the gym floor. There are no classes and it lacks a Community vibe. Virtual classes would be an advantage. It also needs somewhere to sit and chat to a friend after a workout

Fantastic experience: It’s a pretty big gym, 24/7! Most importantly the staff are lovely! Especially the staff named Chelsea! Always smiling and greeting everyone. And I’ve been going to this gym for a couple of years now. I’ve tried other gyms in Geelong, and stuck to this cause of their brilliant customer service!

Negative experience: 10/10 would not recommend anyone signing up or using this gym, I signed up under the impression as I was told there was going to be a $500,000 upgrade with all BRAND NEW equipment, and that NOTHING that was on the floor besides the treadmills were staying… a month later and it’s still all the same old equipment that’s been there for 13 years. The pin load machines don’t even have stickers for the weights so you don’t know how much you’re lifting, they over promised and under delivered with their sale pitch, the staff are friendly and that’s about the only thing this gym has going for it. If you’re thinking about signing up here DONT BOTHER, don’t get sucked in with their cheap prices. There are plenty of other great gyms in Geelong and Zap Fitness is by far the worst gym in Geelong. I’d leave a 0 stars review if I could.
