Fantastic experience: Jay makes fitness workouts fun, the kids didn’t even realise how hard they were working, and each time they were keen to go back…13 years and 8 years. Highly recommend. Updated review January 2025- From these group sessions my 13 year old (now 14) started PT training with Jay to build fitness and body confidence for his sporting pursuits. He wanted to build fitness and core strength. Not only did he achieve what he set out to, a happy byproduct was increased self esteem and overall confidence. Transition from 13-14 years can be tricky, I really feel Jay did more for my son than just help him with fitness, can’t recommend him highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't recommend Jay more highly. I'm in my 60's and Jay took the time to check through my medical conditions and tailor a program that worked amazingly well. It was a mix of stretch, cardio and strength. He changed it around each session so it never got boring. He also chatted while going through the paces which built a great relationship. From starting at a very low level of fitness, my progress was better than I thought possible. Don't look anywhere else, just go straight to Jay!

Fantastic experience: Jay has been absolutely incredible! I came to Jay wanting help to pass a fitness test. From the get go he’s been dedicated and extremely knowledgeable on how to help me achieve my fitness goals. Each session is catered to different components of the test, and if I ever want to change something up for a couple of sessions he’s always accomodating and supportive! We’ve even run a beep test a couple of times outside of hours, just so he can continue to help me achieve my goals. I would highly recommend Jay and Mornington Fitness to anyone who’s looking to achieve particular fitness goals, or even to just be a little more active!

Fantastic experience: I'm so glad I found Mornington Fitness. It's a friendly unintimidating environment with classes that are varied, effective and efficient - which suits my busy lifestyle. Since joining 3.5 months ago, I've been able to attend consistently because I don't find it to be a chore, and as a result I'm the strongest, fittest and lightest version of myself since becoming a Mum 6 years ago. Fantastic experience: Our daughter signed up for a 8 week program specifically catered to netball focusing on improving strength, speed and agility. The group sessions were a highlight for the girls who loved the weekly challenges that Jay set for out for them. Jay’s encouragement and knowledge not only extended and improved their fitness and movements by 10% over 8 weeks but has encouraged them to continue on with the program over the school holidays and now in smaller group sessions. We would highly recommend Jay!

Fantastic experience: Jay is a fantastic trainer. He has a knack for getting the most out of you without being overbearing in anyway. He's a generous and friendly guy - with a real sense of perspective. He can accommodate any injuries or niggling problems you have and still get great results. I've been going to Mornington Fitness for a touch over a year now. Despite my preexisting dodgy back and achilles tendonitis, I've been able to get considerably stronger very quickly under Jay's tutelage. These days those maladies are afterthoughts. The group classes are small (6-8 people max) and welcoming. There's a real local charm about them - and a remarkable cross section of ages and body types. Once the clock starts everyone works hard and that raises the bar for all involved. I've been to alot of gyms over the years. Big chains and small training studios. I prefer the latter and Mornington Fitness is one of the best I've come across. I would recommend them to anybody without hesitation. Great stuff.

Fantastic experience: If you want a small gym with tailored personal training in the most comfortable environment you could envisage, then Mornington Fitness is for you! Jay creates a welcoming atmosphere in combination with the professionalism to match. This home gym is fully equipped and aesthetically pleasing with lots of natural light. Jay is a super welcoming trainer who genuinely cares about your performance and wellbeing. When I first rang to enquire, Jay suggested a meeting. We spoke about why I needed training and what my expectations were. We discussed why previous gyms did not work for me and he highlighted the changes necessary to not fall back into poor habits. I outlined my health concerns and Jay has remained flexible and empathetic, allowing me to make changes to our schedule without being charged cancellation. In addition, Jay is perceptive of my moods and energy levels and thus tailors the session to fit my limitations. He is challenging but not pushy, inspiring but not demanding. Jay is the best trainer I have had.

Fantastic experience: Joined MF a couple of months ago after 2 years out of the gym. Jay has been great and eased me back into it, making sure my form was good before pushing me beyond my comfort zone. Really great atmosphere. Everyone I have met training is encouraging and friendly. I’m enjoying training, even at 6am, and getting so much more out of it than gyms where you work on your own. Jay loves to share his knowledge on fitness and diet and takes a genuine interest in the lives of his clients.

Fantastic experience: Being a member at Mornington Fitness is being part of a friendly, happy and relaxed close-knit community! It is so much more than a gym - it is a space where we download about our day, support each other and laugh!! Fantastic experience: We're a husband and wife team who train twice a week at Mornington Fitness, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Jay is an expert fitness professional who has crafted a unique program for us that incudes cardio, weights and broader wellbeing. He takes great care to design each and every workout to build our fitness at the right pace, stretching us just the right amount and acting as our accountability partner to help us achieve our goals. Jay has a huge exercise repertoire and brings something different to every session, helping us move our bodies in ways we don't behind a desk or hunched over a computer. Every workout is different, which keeps us interested, engaged and constantly challenged. We've established a great relationship with Jay and have found him to be a friendly, skilled and passionate PT who has taken the time to understand our strengths and limitations, and educated us about health, fitness and wellbeing. The Mornington Fitness gym is bright and welcoming, and there's nothing like a great PT to monitor your progress and keep you honest! Fantastic experience: I have absolutely loved training with Jay! Unlike so many in the fitness industry, Jay has a holistic approach; with a big emphasis on setting goals outside of weight loss, focusing the mind and getting into the right head space to achieve the goals set. We talked nutrition, worked with his on staff dietician to clean up my diet and look at long term nutrition goals, not just what will see quick results. Fantastic experience: I chose Mornington Fitness as one of my places to go to for mental and physical health. It is a small gym where you are treated as a PERSON not a number. Because it's a smaller gym we all train together like family and working together as a team. Mornington Fitness has a variety of workouts at various times. Either bodybuilding or cardio/fitness. Jay is a great hands on Personal Trainer making sure technique is right. Very Important. If done incorrectly can cause injury and not getting full benefit from the exercise.

Fantastic experience: I had hit a stage at my previous gym where I lost motivation and was seeing no gains. This when I moved across to @morningtonfitness, working with Jay in a small group I soon got my motivation back and got the gains I was looking for and that was about 4 years ago. The variety in the sessions and Jays drive and passion keeps me coming back.

Fantastic experience: I have been training at Mornington Fitness with Jay for 18 months and cannot recommend this place enough! Prior to Mornington Fitness I had always struggled with the gym environment finding it incredibly intimidating but have found Mornington Fitness an absolute breath of fresh air everyone is incredibly friendly & encouraging not matter what your fitness level ... Fantastic experience: I started training with Jay at Mornington Fitness in 2018 after I had gained a few too many kilos from long hours at work and worsening mental health. I began to dread exercising and wasn’t mixing it up very much! Training with Jay 1-2 times a week helped me push myself to my limits, helped me gain body confidence again and gave me something to look forward to each week! He also taught me the value of changing your mindset in order to change your body and the importance of having a positive outlook on training! Training with Jay also allowed me to make long lasting friendships and push myself by having others to support me. Thank you Jay for what is invaluable training and mind-body skills! I couldn’t recommend Jay and Mornington Fitness enough over any other gym!! Jay has continued to provide tips and programs to me throughout the Melbourne lockdown and my body has only become stronger and fitter. I’ve now lost 7 kilos and feeling stronger than ever! Fantastic experience: This gym and it’s people are amazing. You won’t find anything quite like it, such a friendly, fun and motivating group. Jay and his team are super knowledgeable about all things health and fitness. They’re very encouraging and will have you sweating it out, smashing goals and PB’s in no time as well as having a great time with an awesome group of people as you go. There’s always a great variety of exercises and fun new & challenging drills to try to keep you motivated. Can’t recommend it enough!!!

Fantastic experience: I started with Jay on a 30 day challenge, not only did i smash my goals i lost 3kgs of virtial body fat the dangerous fat that surrounds your major organs. I went from level 10 to level 7 huge all in a matter of 4 weeks. I gained not only my confidence back but a group of friends as weĺl. . The people at mornington fittness are so friendly and its a great atmosphere all trainers are lovely and really listen to wait u want out of your workout, they give 24/7 support to what ever your fitness goals are , they have nutritional advice and have flexible times for training. Great bunch of people. Jay the owner has helped me lose weight and gain confidence but most of all helped me get my fittness goals on track . I highly recommend anyone who is wanting a to join a gym and get the results u want. Show

Fantastic experience: I have been a client at Mornington Fitness for over 12 months. Jay's ability to provide training and programs to suit your goals, tracking your progress and changing up routines shows his commitment to his clients and focusing on them as an individual. Mornington Fitness is a family not just another training studio. I highly recommend it to anyone or the whole family to do it as a group.
