Positive experience: Having been a subscription member for 18 months now to the aquatic centre I can say that it has been worth every cent the staff are very friendly and with 2 hip replacements the heated pool is a great for a low impact workout

Fantastic experience: Absolutely phenomenal loved that they got to host countries because their pool is beautiful

Negative experience: The centre is amazing. However, I cannot say the same thing about the customer service there. Two times I’ve booked the area and both times I’ve been met with appalling customer service. We arrived 5 minutes earlier and since no one was at the area booked, we asked if we could go earlier. However they rudely said no. This I understand (excluding the attitude). What doesn’t make sense is that they kicked us out 30 mins early. We had booked 1hr and 30 mins however only got 1 hour.

Negative experience: 30 days notice or $80 to cancel a subscription is theft

Negative experience: Do not give any payment details for any membership as they will take every cent they can get. I got a free month and to sign up I had to provide my bank details (I made it clear I would not be continuing my membership after the month), I was not given any terms or conditions to consent to nor did I sign any form (including DDR form). I went to cancel my membership about a week and a half later and I was told to just email them instead, which was interesting. I emailed to cancel and I was told I would be paying $22.50 a week for 30 days until it would actually be cancelled. It was a good lesson that nothing is ever free, and also to never give these lot anything as they will take whatever they can.

Negative experience: I like swimming there and using the gym. But late fee for a missed payment is as much as the membership itself. $15.75 for a full week and a extra $14.92 because the payment was a few days late. It says on the website that the late fee is $5 or 25%. That's a straight up lie.

Positive experience: Great location and venue, only thing that can be improved is having an express lane for those coming in. My daughter had swimming lessons and had to check in, both receptionists were 'bogged' down with 2 enquiries which took an average of 5 minutes....perhaps an express lane for those that already have the tags?? Or perhaps having an extra person for lesso times??? The queue was quite long fyi.

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of my experience at this gym. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff. The facility is immaculately maintained, with state-of-the-art equipment and pristine workout areas. The staff members are friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to assist with any questions or concerns. It's clear that they take pride in providing a top-notch experience for their members. The cleanliness standards at this gym are unparalleled. The equipment is regularly sanitized, and I always feel comfortable using it. The locker rooms and showers are spotless, which is a refreshing change from other gyms I've visited. Overall, I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a clean, safe, and welcoming environment to achieve their fitness goals. It's a true gem in the fitness community, and I look forward to continuing my membership for years to come!

Negative experience: I think it is ridiculous in which you CAN NOT make a once off payment for swimming access for 1, 3 or 6 month fee it has to be a weekly direct debit, can this facility NOT manage their finances appropriately And no I am not trying to get a discount for a once off payment I even offered to pay cash and that was no

Negative experience: Regarding swimming lessons. My daughter (5yrs) spent all of 2023 doing lessons, started 2024 assuming same group as there was zero communication about her going up a level or what group she was in. Completed 2 first year lessons because the instructors didn’t have her on a list and thought their system must be delayed. Turns out she was moved up to a higher level so missed those 2 lessons being in the wrong group because no one communicated with us. Could have easily been avoided. Not good enough.

Positive experience: Dropped in the other day for my son to use the courts , facility is great went to grab a coffee while I waited , lovely staff very friendly , paid for a decaf latte and then added , please make it extra strong , only to be told it will be instant coffee because their coffee supplier hasn’t had decaf coffee for over 6 months , we joked and I said I could grab a bag of ground coffee form Cole’s and be back in 5 min , response “we are not allowed to do that “ would have appreciated being told before I paid the $4.90 that is was instant , I said no chance I’m drinking instant coffee , not for $4.90 anyway , no offer of refund so I took a cup of tea , this is no dig at the ladies serving they were lovely , but come on management , if the full strength coffee ran out would you serve instant for $4.90 or whip to Cole’s

Negative experience: It’s not very often I find myself writing bad reviews but I’m going to have to add myself to the large number of people who are disappointed with the Wulunda facilities. Got there a bit before 4pm, paid and entered. The kids (3&2) wanted to go on the huge playground smack bang in the middle of their eyesight. The webpage says splash pool hours were 12-5. After being disappointed and it not being turned on and being instructed we weren’t allowed to play in that area or go on the slide managed to keep them half distracted in a smaller shallowish pool near it. After a short time they got bored of this and really wanted to go on the splash pad which resulted in being told no they weren’t allowed but of course they didn’t understand why. Had to take them to the change rooms screaming to get changed because they just didn’t understand. Then of course just finished getting them changed at about 4.30 and they turned the splash pad on and the kids had the biggest look of excitement when they saw it then disappointment when they realised we were leaving :( I understand reasoning as to why they might not have had it turned on due to lower numbers in people at the time but the least they could have done is at least told us before we paid/entered. Or simply change hours if your not going to follow the hours available to the public. Feeling like my money is more then wasted and kids are still dissapointed and upset WULUNDA= nothing but a lousy experience

Negative experience: There centre is nice the staff are doing their best all things considered. My problems are 1 they never took installation of proper spa pool and my biggest is no Saunas, these are the things that help people with sore muscles and bone stiffness. But I am most disappointed with swimming with clumps of hair, bandades, these can also be found on shower floors as they have told us these areas don't get cleaned everyday, Massive disappointment. Again I don't blame staff only corporate. Time for update Not much has changed the above is still the same. They seem to have issues with proper heating and getting chemical balance correct. And yes the pool still has stuff in it as do the shower areas generally more than a few days in a row 15/09/23 Hydro pool so cold save your money and go anywhere else, you get up early to help with joint pain etc not only me but when you get into the hydro pool and it's cold you know it's going to be a struggle. I'm sorry but this place has made this review the worst I've ever done. Use it for swimming etc but don't rely on them ever getting it right for therapy, I cancelled my membership

Fantastic experience: The centre itself, inside is quite warm. So your best to remove your woollies before entering the building. Great bunch of trainers, teaching our youngsters how to swim. Friendly front counter and cafe staff. Affordable prices at the cafe, healthy foods, sugary fat foods, hot foods, and coffee machine drinks/cold drinks available. Lots of car spaces except on wednesday nights, its very busy and not many car spaces available. Lots of indoor sports available, indoor soccer, basketball and volleyball. Swimming is affordable. Week to week payments. Swimming of course, aerobics gym upstairs. Function rooms for hire. Some nights there are food vans outside the grassed area.

Fantastic experience: Staff are always so lovely

Positive experience: Great facilities - very clean and welcoming. Only downside is that you have to be 18 to use the gym.

Negative experience: My daughter and her 3 year old daughter are going back today to Melbourne. As my granddaughter loves the pools, I said you must go to Wulanda before you head back it is fun. Well she got there about 10 am all excited. The children’s pool was not open for 2 hours. How embarrassing I would have thought that staff at front desk would have at leas been courteous to point this out, before taking my family’s money. If the centre is losing money do they want to lose clients as well?

Fantastic experience: I am attending Wulanda for the fitness classes and I am impressed with the variety and class times on offer. All of the instructors are friendly and helpful. There is a good selection of modern gym equipment and at the times I attend, you aren't waiting for free machines. I have always found the facilities clean and well maintained.

Negative experience: All people wanted was a new aquatic centre not a basketball court and all there other scrap that was put in there! Now we don't even have half the amount of pool we used to.

Negative experience: The Millicent swimming lake is ten times better than this big waste of tax payer money! Wouldn't be sad if the place got shut / burned down .

Negative experience: The current facility offers no more than the other pools in town that have the same issues - too many classes, too small, few lap swimming times available and always full of splash and giggle customers. No real option to swim for exercise or rehabilitation at convenient times.

Negative experience: I used to enjoy this place until they got VERY strict. First of all they don't allow anyone over the age of 10 to use the water slides. Teenagers in mount gambier like that stuff. Maybe if they used there money wisely they could have built something fun to suit teenagers and adults. After this indecent we thought lets use the gym until they decided to change the age 50,000 times. first they were letting kids up at any age then they said 16 and now 18.

Negative experience: Misleading information about “hydrotherapy” pool. Name is now “warm water” pool. Very limited access to “warm water”pool, in two hour blocks. “Warm water” pool is used for swimming lessons on Saturdays. The “manager” is useless about doing anything, just a puppet of Council and/or upper management/ owners Belgravia. It’s a hit and miss situation. I arrived at the centre today and found the “warm water/hydrotherapy “ pool closed…..the two hour blocks changed without any prior notice. It’s no good giving feedback, it gets ignored.

Negative experience: Staff where unprofessional. I asked for a weekly member ship and they charged me each gym session as a casual visit. Very unhappy with your services. The gym is really badly built as well. Normally you line the floor up with the machines, benches and mirrors. Nothing lines up. And only opens until 5pm because of the music festival across the road. Disappointing. Makes mount gambier look like a rip off town.

Positive experience: First time here today and won't be our last! Had a wonderful time with the kids.

Fantastic experience: The kids pool is wild. For kids but also me Bronte Ellard. Place looks amazing good to see another place we can go socialise and exercise.

Negative experience: One time me and my mates go there when we were 15 (start of year) and then they say we have to be 16 so we listen and wait a couple months and come back and then they say oh you have to be 18 now to go to the gym without supervision so no gym for minors and the pool is anti fun because you cant even jump of, of the diving boards or do any tricks even bombys its terrible would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: It is a very well equipped recreation facility, where everyone will find what he is fancy of. Besides having multiple swimming pools it also has a well equipped gym.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic location. Great to see its finally open and we definitely need this in the region. I just hope the community will recognise that this is only a new facility with brand new staff and there will be growing pains

Negative experience: This one life guard wouldn’t let me and my mates dive of the diving boards. If we aren’t allowed to dive off them, why are they there.

Positive experience: Overall it was a positive experience and we went with high expectations knowing full well this has cost the locals a fortune.We are visiting from interstate and it’s so good to finally have an indoor pool available all year round. All the staff were friendly and I found it to be clean which is a big thing for me. I gather there is a lack of staff (post covid climate I understand) as I didn’t see lifeguards at every pool and at times those supervising weren’t actively watching the pool (are they getting sufficient breaks was my first thought). Yes I actively supervise my children but the concern is also for adults/teens who could easily get into trouble and be there on their own. I was in the hydrotherapy pool for over an hour and not one life guard came over to supervise. They made an appearance to tell us was nearly time to exit the pool. (That is also questionable as no one was supervising, why actually close that pool?) Those requiring the hydro pool only have 4 hours a day to utilise it which is crazy for such a facility. The children’s indoor play pool and shallow indoor pool was very busy (cool day) and no outdoor pool open even though it was advertised on the website. Change rooms were fine, small individual cubicles (but sufficient hot water on a push tap) so anyone large may find it a challenge to enter and change in the small space. Only 1 disabled bathroom available unless you request use of one near the hydro pool. I do think someone with a disability background (of a variety of disabilities) needs to be employed to support the management as companion card/concession card entry fee query, the facilities, website etc are requiring further education/modifications. I wish management all the best as I can understand opening such a large facility, post covid at Christmas time would be nothing short of a nightmare. We will continue to support it when we visit the area and think the locals will eventually get great use of a fantastic sporting complex.
