Club Lime Curtin

Positive experience: Could do with a GHD or Roman Chair. Otherwise a good gym.

Negative experience: I cancelled my membership when I left the country. According to this clubs policy (for some reason) you need to give one month’s notice. Paying for a whole month when I was on the other side of the world has absolutely soured my opinion of this company. I will not be rejoining.

Positive experience: Since moving to curtain I recently started going to this club lime since it’s the closest. The best thing about this club lime is that the dumbbells don’t increase by 2.5kg but by 2kg (14kg, 16kg, 18kg, etc) which i find it better for progressive overload. the worst thing is probably the lack of leg machines, they don’t have a proper hack squat, no adductor / abductor machine, no hip thrust machine, and i believe they don’t have a seated calf raise machine (though they do have a seated leg curl which some club limes don’t have). They do have unique equipment like the trap deadlift machine variation which i haven’t seen in any other club lime. The receptionists seem lovely, and the gym doesn’t get too busy which I cannot say about the other club limes like greenway or woden. They are unfortunately missing the hammer strength incline chest press machine though which lanyon, greenway, and most other club limes have. The air conditioning is very good as usual though and the water is very cold which is delightful.

Fantastic experience: Well done Club Lime, you pack a punch for a small suburban gym! I joined for only $75 giving me 14 days usage at any branch. I did check out the huge Phillip Club Lime and it’s fitted out with loads of extra pieces. Let’s talk Curtin though, clean bathrooms and gym floor, always PT’s flitting about, no morons filming and not one piece of equipment with an ‘out of order’ sign. Staff are friendly and the manager spent time helping me load the app which opens any ‘Lime’ door. Some sweet history also, it’s underground and was originally a department store JB Youngs for those wondering about its former use. Don’t hesitate to join it ticks every box for a gym to get those gains!

Positive experience: Small gym and in summer it can get a bit stuffy but nice range of equipment and friendly staff. However they recently stopped all group exercise classes, very disappointing. Cleaning of the machines could also be improved - I found rubbish like gum and a rusty nail in the cup holders!

Fantastic experience: I ordered a membership and I was told to pick it up during staffed hours which the website says are 10am-5/7pm on weekdays, so when I get there straight off the bus from school at 4pm every weekday I expect it to be open, I have now paid for a week of not being able to use the service and I have contacted them with no reply, this is very annoying UPDATE: The doors were closed so that leaves wouldn't blow in, I didn't want to try open them in case an alarm went off but FYI they are open when they say they are! They explained this to me and showed me how to use all the equipment and I would definitely recommend now

Positive experience: Great little gym. Never to crowded, very clean and tidy toilets and showers compared to others i have been to. Missing a weights machine i like also an assult bike.

Positive experience: Small but everything you need. Plenty of airconditioning and fans for the cardio sessions and the equipment is pretty new and good quality. Open 24hours is a real bonus
