The instructors and other students encouraged me even though I was feeling nervous and self-conscious. It truly is a place where everybody is welcomed no matter their body type or ability. The pole at your own pace program is brilliant, and the small class sizes allowed the instructors to spend time with each person. Fantastic experience: If you’ve always wanted to try poke but have felt awkward to do so, Stargazer is an amazing community to trial and join! The instructors but also the people attending the classes have been nothing but kind and supportive. The class structure is set up in a way to really set you up for success where you build on foundational skills and work yourself up! It’s always a good time and might be something fun and new to try in 2024!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place. This is where I first started my pole journey, and it is honestly been so heart-warming to be sureounded by a group of people who are encouraging, funny, and welcoming. Both from all the instructors and the other students. Being able to go at my own pace is also great because I know that when I am stuck on something, I am not forced to get it right away or get left behind. I can work on it a bit at a time until I figure it out, and the instructors are always there to give you support and modifications when needed. The different types of classes are also great fun and allow me to try something new. Ive been lucky to work with a number of different instructors (Ara, Tamar, Kimmy, Deb, Katy & Ash) and all of them have made me feel like I belong in a space that I was so worried to join. Thank you, Stargazer. I truly dont think I would have continued with my pole journey if it wasn't for all of you. ❤️❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: I started my pole journey in March of 2021, and became a Stargazer in March of 2022. In a MONTH at Stargazer, I made more progress than I made at my first studio. Elsewhere, beginner classes are repetitive and I felt as though my progress was stunted. At Stargazer, my position in an “all abilities” class has been a major tool in my success. I’m surrounded by more advanced students that push me to learn new things beyond my curriculum level/push myself to advance through the curriculum, and a room full of lovely humans who encourage and empower myself and every other student in the class. I’m a disabled/mobility aid user that faces difficulties with anatomy and limitations, and the “pole at your own pace” curriculum model has made a world of difference in my progression - truly allowing me to have the greatest possible success. Without fail, every facilitator I’ve had has worked with me to bypass a limitation/modify something to my abilities, or has taken my concerns to someone else to formulate a plan of action for me to achieve success. I’ve never felt out of place, under challenged or under supported in a class here. The sense of community and social aspect to my classes has also made a hugely positive impact on my life. I’ve been overall able to make massive progress in class and on my own pole at home due to the support and encouragement of the staff and curriculum, and the confidence boost I’ve received from this is so deeply evident in my performance now. I’m so thankful that I stumbled across this studio, and it’s an honour to be a part of the Stargazer family

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Deb and Klaudia for being amazing and fun hosts. We did a private hens session which was great for beginners like us. We got to learn a little routine and shared a few good laughs. The ladies even accommodated the session to music the hen liked.

Positive experience: Enjoyed very much as an older person I was a little nervous at first thinking pole was mainly for young people but soon relaxed everyone is very friendly and the moves are learn able which is a plus I joined on the night and intend to have fun with this

Fantastic experience: I've been a student of WOP for about 3 months now. I've been doing pole for nearly 5 years and have been a student at 5 different studios, and of these 5, WOP is by far the best studio I've ever been to! There are no egos, no judgement, no harsh expectations (beyond our own comfort level), and no discomfort. Everything about this place is amazing. Everyone gets their own pole each lesson, each lesson is tailor made for you, for you to go at your own pace. There is support from everyone including your instructor (shout out to Deb) to the wonderful co owner Dee right through to the students right next to you. In a bad start to 2016, I struggled with finding the right pole studio, and ending up gaining 18kg. Here I am today, 2017, at WOP, and already after only 3 months, 3.5kg lighter! I've written a lot, so if you've made it this far, do yourself a favour and book a class at WOP. It'll seriously be one of the best things you'll do! :)

Fantastic experience: The concept of enhancing health and fitness has attained a brand new high in the recent times. Before I go further about my latest experience, it is relevant here to mention that I’m Patricia Williams, a working woman of about 40, based in NSW. Back in college days, I was a regular member of the women’s basketball team and prior to that I was an avid tennis player during my school days. In short, I was into sports back in my heydays and am still quite fitness conscious. Now, my long-time friend Jenny has been sharing her experiences about a unique fitness workout regimen that she has joined for somewhat more than a month. That was when I heard about pole dance as an outstanding exercise strategy. To be honest, initially I was taken aback but gradually, as I heard about her achievements in this unique fitness-training program suddenly I felt intrigued. Finally, I decided to drop into the pole studio and see it for myself. After going there, I must say, I have experienced a completely new approach to enhance both physical and mental fitness. The act of dancing along the pole is simply amazing. It pumps up the adrenalin and at the same time triggers unadulterated fun. As such, what I feel is this unique fitness regimen is ideal for people who are daring and athletic. The warm, amicable atmosphere existing inside the studio is ideal for the learners to pick up the relevant skills of pole dance most conveniently.
