Fantastic experience: So.... as a former member of Virgin Active Health Clubs, I have always struggled to find anything even close to the facilities, cleanliness, or vibe... that was until now - World Gym Albury is simply incredible. I'm a foundation member at World Gym Wodonga, and while I wait for them to open, I thought I'd give WGA a go...and geez I'm glad I did. Awesome, clean and new facilities, state of the art equipment, lovely, welcoming and accommodating staff and friendly patrons - If WGA had an indoor 25m lap pool and rock climbing wall then you'd be forgiven for thinking you were at Virgin. I am super impressed with WGA and can't wait to get in the door at WGW. Great work guys and girls. Keep slaying it!

Positive experience: Very disappointed in the lack of group fitness classes that don't require extra on your membership. They just change willy nilly and your locked in for a year even if the timetable doesn't work.

Fantastic experience: World Gym Albury has been amazing. The atmosphere is friendly and motivating. My favourite part is the high quality of equipment. There are so many machines that you are never waiting, even during peak times.

Negative experience: Advertise they accept fitness passport etc. turned up during staffed hours and they said I had to pay $50 for an access fob? - It’s staffed hours just let me in mate I have fitness passport??? Then tried to sell me a casual pas visit for $20. And said most places round here won’t let you use fitness passport without an access fob - next place I went to let me use their facilities with fitness passport. What a scam - why should people have to buy an access fob who already have fitness passport if they are visiting during staffed hours? Donuts.

Negative experience: Very disappointing. Rude and disrespectful staff over the phone. Ruined the original world gym brand. Shame…

Negative experience: If your interested in world gym, great equipment and great quality, just very bad staff and management. I had such a great time here till I could no longer train due to busy life styles, when it was time to cancel my membership a staff member failed to execute the cancellation and was being charged for more than the membership cancellation fee, once I called they said I was due for a refund and that it would've taken 2-3 business days to come through then seems like the same staff member has failed again to execute this. Then was called to say you won't be receiving this refund and they put it under missed payment fee's. Just very very poor staff and management here.

Negative experience: Honestly I would call these guys thieves and greedy people. I was there for a month, the girl who signed up me told me that she has registered me only for a month and after that my subscription will be cancelled automatically. I left the gym as agreed after one month but these guys kept on taking my money for 2 more months. Though I never checked my account until two months, but these low greedy and inhumane administration gave me wrong info and kept my money despite knowing that I was not coming. After 2 months they never gave my money and I even escalated to their Head Office and they didn't help either. Liars, greedy and shameless administration. I would recommend to go to Anytime fitness who are just 1 min drive away though they are expensive but they greedy and their marketing ladies/gentleman do not misguide you to take money off you with deceit.

Negative experience: I told world gym to cancel my membership because I was no longer working and couldn't afford the fees. Today- $50 taken out of my account. My account is now overdrawn despite me advising them to stop my payments. They don't listen. It's all about the not cool.

Negative experience: I was so excited when World Gym Albury first opened, expecting an amazing experience with top-tier services. Initially, I loved it! The gym was clean, new, and really impressive! But, honestly, it’s been a downhill slide since then. Within just a few weeks, I noticed serious maintenance issues. The machines weren’t being taken care of, cables were getting stiff, and the flooring felt like it wasn’t even properly installed. And why do the treadmills only run for 30 minutes? The staff experience has been hit or miss. Some were lovely, but others were really off-putting. As a morning person, I loved training early, but one morning I was warming up and a PT came over and very rudely told me, “Can you move? I’m running a class.” It was so abrupt and unprofessional that it really soured the experience for me. After that, I started training late at night just to avoid the uncomfortable vibe, but even then, the environment wasn’t much better, constantly dodging tripods and people posing and filming in walkways. I wanted to love this gym, but I feel so let down. The overall vibe has just been negative, and it’s sad to say that I ended up falling out of love with training because of it. I’ve now joined another gym and I’m much happier, but I hope World Gym Albury can take this feedback on. Better equipment maintenance, a friendlier community, and fewer distractions are really needed.

Negative experience: It's been over a week since I posted my initial review about the poor experience I've had at World Gym, and I am appalled that I haven't received any response or follow-up. This complete lack of communication is beyond unacceptable and speaks volumes about how little they care about their members. After my initial review, I was told in a response on Google by their manager to be on standby to hear from staff. Clearly, that response was just for show, as I’ve yet to receive any contact. I've called multiple times over the last 2 months and even discussed my concerns with staff members directly, yet nothing has been resolved. The management here is clearly incompetent, and the way this business operates is beyond unprofessional. It's shocking that a gym of this size can't handle basic customer service or address valid complaints from its paying members. I initially voiced my concerns starting around 2 months ago expecting at least some acknowledgment or action. Instead, I've been met with no resolution and silence. Clearly, customer service and member satisfaction are not priorities here. I strongly advise anyone considering this gym to look elsewhere—somewhere that actually values its members and provides the service you're paying for such as Ignite or Genesis. If this is how they treat complaints, it's no wonder the quality has gone downhill. I will be taking this matter further if I continue to be ignored. This is not how a business should be run and maybe they should consider getting staff that can actually do the job they’re hired to do.

Negative experience: I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at World Gym Albury. The staff here are completely useless and unprofessional, showing a shocking level of incompetence. They’re incredibly difficult to deal with, and when issues arise, they simply don’t get back to you. To make matters worse, their billing practices are highly questionable. Even though my payments were up to date, they still took money that wasn’t part of the contract. When I tried to address this with them, I was met with silence and no resolution. Their refusal to terminate my membership after creating such an untrustworthy environment is the last straw. I would strongly advise anyone considering this gym to look elsewhere, it's not worth the headache or the risk of being treated so poorly.

Positive experience: 06/08/2024 Is this the best gym for your money ? no, it is expensive compared to others but if you are looking for the best gym in Albury for now ?Then this is the place. It's clean , friendly staff and sometimes there is too many people there depends on the time of course, so just keep that in mind.

Since signing up to her i have gained so much more confidence and strength within myself, even on the days that i don’t feel motivated she always helps! I’ve only ever had good experiences at world gym, the staff are absolutely amazing, welcoming everyone in as they come to the gym. it’s a very friendly atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: This gym has everything! After training at a tired and evidently poorly managed local competitor gym for some years it was a refreshing change to join up at World Gym Albury. This thing is massive. By far the best selection of free weights, machines and pin loaded equipment in town. Huge functional space when I feel like mixing it up and a cardio room with FREE Netflix! They’ve made it almost enjoyable to get my steps in each day lol. I joined with my partner and she absolutely loves how luxe the bathrooms are. She uses the complimentary hair straighteners every morning before work. She also signed up for reformer Pilates and WG30 group classes which thankfully are both much cheaper than some of the alternatives in the area. We put the savings toward a recovery membership and now use the hot rock sauna or Infra Red sauna along with the hot and cold spas a couple times a week. We’ve honestly never felt better! Can’t thank the staff enough for creating such a warm, welcoming and encouraging environment for us to train in - and for making such great post workout shakes! There’s a reason it was voted Triple M’s best gym on the border!

Negative experience: This is the most unfriendly and unfamily friendly gym I have ever been to, I felt extremely unwanted and judged as soon as I walked in there and felt as tho you didn’t want me there (unwelcomed) the staff are very belittling and rude when you ask them for advice and word for word I was told “why even come to a gym if you don’t know why your doing”

Negative experience: Discrimination, favouritism and a toxic environment I was singled out from the moment i joined and made to feel unwanted every single time i stepped foot into this gym I kept my head down and trained and always tried to be respectful and curtious and polite to the staff and members despite it not being reciprocated Walking through reception is a nightmare if youre unlucky enough to have a particular tall dark haired lady on reception, you will be either cut in half with an arrogant stare or ignored completely as her face is buried in her phone Has the potential to be a great gym but as it stands it has a very high school drama vibe about it and if you arent particularly liked by the staff or any members prepare to be constantly witch hunted Most of the staff are lovely so thankyou to kayla, maggie, trish, grace and emily and a couple i forgot their names, i wont speak any further of the one particular arrogant girl but if you go here you will know 8/10 for equipment 1/10 for everything else Dont join here if youre looking to feel included and safe, you wont find that in this gym

Negative experience: After being coerced into signing up over the phone to lock in a cheaper rate on the promise I could cancel before I had been to see the gym, I have since been unable to do so without paying for services I have not yet received. Harrassing messages and phone calls and empty promises for easy cancellation have cost a family more than they can afford.

Fantastic experience: I've been training for quite sometime now and this has for me, got to be the most comprehensive and holistic gym I have trained in Albury/Wodonga. The staff are all so friendly, they all say hello and quite often I'll have a chat with them at the end of my training session in the morning. I have also undertaken a program and had a few personal training sessions with Tom, and I can't recommend him highly enough. He has considerably helped me improve my technique with his sequence/cues on the bench and deadlift in particular, and as a result, I have improved over time on these compounds, and have also been humbled by new unique exercises like the Sir Charles Lateral Raise, which are brutal. In saying that, all the other trainers know their craft as well! Can't recommend World Gym enough to say the least!

Fantastic experience: The Pilates instructor (so sorry I don’t have your name) is literally amazing. I go Tuesday and Thursday at 6 and it’s always something different. Challenging but good ratio of stretching/ working and she’s very encouraging. So so worth it!!

Negative experience: It could be great Gym. I have joined for everything but When it come to canceling. It will be charged 50% for year of contract. I decided to Cancel now I suppose to $600 dollar. I would suggest to all please talk in details. I don't even aware it was year of contract. Employees is claiming they verbally informed me. My fault was i didn't read the contract. please don't make that mistake.

Fantastic experience: Been training locally approx. 18 years. Have trained at most locations in the Area and I can say this is the Best gym in the area, staff are exceptional, Facilities and equipment are excellent! If your looking for the best place to improve yourself in the Albury/Wodonga region this place is the one to chose!
