Negative experience: Machines are gross with sticky stuff all around. Also some of the equipment is so cramped together, how am I meant to use this machine (see pics) if I can’t even get in there. T.T

Negative experience: Worst Gym ever! No Customer service.Despite paying a yearly membership in advance and cancelling it about 2 years ago with ample notice. ZAP fitness gym illegally went and did adhoc weekly direct debits on my account when suited them. Good luck calling them, the head office never answers the phone or return call back. Thankfully NAB sorted it and I was told ZAP Fitness targeted other nab customers similarly. What a disgrace !!! You don’t even deserve the 1 star!!

Negative experience: Coming from a personal trainer who has been to the majority of gyms on the east side and cbd… this is the worst gym in Melbourne. From lack of care of equipment down to the management. I honestly keep getting surprised at how bad this gym is. Machines are out of order for months, everything that has an issue never gets resolved. Have given multiple feedback items on different platforms with no response. Staff are disinterested and instead of repairing equipment just remove it completely off the gym floor. The price point is the only thing going for this gym. In such an affluent neighbourhood you’d think there would be some level of customer service or upkeep but it is the exact opposite. Majority of members also never put their weights back just to give you an idea of gym atmosphere and culture created at this zap. Save your $8 a week and buy a protein shake instead.

Negative experience: Never received any email/notification regarding re-opening/closing date and time during this lockdown and lift period. Only sign to find out is the deduction notice from your bank statement then you know oh they probably reopened. And you have to visit the gym to know that they require you to upload the certificate… how thoughtful.

Negative experience: They’ll keep charging you money even after you quit and they make it a hassle to get on the phone with them and sort it out. Yep, they’re one of those kinds of gyms. Don’t bother with these clowns

Fantastic experience: One of the best gym center in Hawthorn area along with friendly staff members, nice and clean environment with proper lighting available. Thanks guys for such a wonderful gym with proper rules and regulation.❤️❤️

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would. As a longtime member of Zap Fitness, I am hugely disappointed in their falseness of 'No Contract' terms - Beware. I requested to have my membership cancelled as was slugged additional costs and charges which I shouldn't have. They failed me as a loyal customer and it was clearly obvious their strategy of dollar retention being more important than humanising and supporting their members through the challenging COVID times. Never will I re-join Zap, and I'll make sure to tell everyone in my fitness community the failures of this pathetic organisation.

Negative experience: SCAMMERS !! DON'T GO THERE !! I did a free trial in early November. I decided to subscribe for 1 month and a half (from early Nov to mid-December). I even negociated a free week with the girl from the staff because I didn't had a lot of money then (see sms attached), she confirmed that but finally lied because I didn't had this free week. Secondly (and the WORST), they are still charging me a monthly subscription of $29.90 twice even if I clealy said I left the city since December. This same girl from the staff even entered the beginning-date my subscription and the end-date on his computer, I was with her. WHAT to expect if you go there : - Stealing your money and continuing your subscription even if you stopped it - Not responding to your Emails and SMS in the hope you give up Also in case you think it is an automatic number it is not, they can see and respond to your sms. :)

Negative experience: The reason for staff members on the premises are to help answer your questions. Don't bother enquiring about issues with the staff, they give out incorrect information which can result in you having to pay more money. The manager of the call centre never returns your phone calls to help with your inquiry. Leaving you having to speak to someone that can only 'pass a message along'

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. Best zap out of the lot. Very homely and extremely clean. The high ceiling is a big plus with plenty of natural light. Friendly staff and overall a good gym with good people ❤️

Fantastic experience: Really nice clean gym with all the basic equipment you will need.

Positive experience: If they had a bench setup that would be cool. Instead it’s a power rack for flat, incline and decline. Such a drag.

Positive experience: Relaxed atmosphere, not many overtly excited gym bros in the gym. Has equipment to support strength training which every gym must have. Overall a good and tidy place to workout.

Positive experience: Air conditions does not work at night thats bad but rest all is perfect

Positive experience: Been using the gym for the last 6 months, happy with the way it's managed. The general crowd is good, mostly clean. Has most of the equipment you need with a workout. Could do with one more cable machine but generally most equipment is available.

Negative experience: No option to turn the fans off. Too cold in winter. Won't recommend.
