Gym Tonic

Negative experience: Sold me a 24/7 card without a membership and then couldn’t refund it when it had no usability for me. Was told I could retract the payment but was disappointed when the word was revoked and nothing could be done. I don’t even have the card as it is still in their possession and they keep the $30 payment on-top of it. Worst purchase I could’ve asked for will not be going again.

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for an outstanding privately owned gym, this is the place to be. The variety of equipment is impressive, catering to all fitness levels, from seasoned gym-goers to complete newcomers. Their free weights and machines selection is great and easy to use and their cardio equipment has lots of options be it a treadmill, bike or stair climber to choose from and more. The class options are diverse and inclusive, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy and benefit from something that I have really enjoyed attending. Classes range from early morning HIIT/Bootcamp and strength through to boxing, spin and Pilates. They have the usual step and powerbar as well as dedicated seniors classes. The staff are truly exceptional—friendly, approachable, and always willing to provide guidance or support with your workouts. Their professionalism and knowledge create a welcoming environment where you feel confident and motivated. The facilities are open 24/7 and are top-notch, with plenty of space for everyone to train comfortably which is something that I have found to help when working out. A standout feature is the sauna, which adds an extra touch of luxury to the experience and something that no other gym in the area has. The crèche is another fantastic addition, with attentive and caring staff, making it an excellent choice for parents. Being Overall, this gym goes above and beyond to provide a welcoming, well-equipped, and supportive space for anyone looking to improve their fitness. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Just started attending Gym Tonic as they are part of my work's Fitness Passport program. So glad I did. Staff are lovely and welcoming and gave me a full tour on my first visit and helped me get set up with 24/7 access. I love the chilled vibe and there is plenty of equipment available at all times. I love that I can set myself up in one of the group fitness areas when no classes are on as well. They have a great sauna available and use it after most of my visits. Shower facilities are good and it's nice that they supply shampoo and conditioner...only way to improve this would be to include some more natural products but that's me being picky! Great local gym!

Negative experience: Pretty poor experience from start to finish. I signed up and was handed a blank contract to sign with no prices written down. "Yep, let me sign this blank contract so you can put whatever you want on it after." After handing it back and getting a lost look from the girl at the counter, she inserted prices and so on. This was just the start. After signing up, I was at the very least expecting a quick walk-around to at least show me the rundown of the place. Nope, just an "on your way." Not even a verbal rundown on how the gym operates. I was maybe thinking they were busy and shrugged it off as maybe a one-off. Nope, my wife signed up a few weeks later and got the same treatment. This is just the beginning in my eyes. The gym charges a pretty high fee compared to other gyms in my opinion. But Gym Tonic has very outdated equipment: - Mix-matched weights - Messy gym in general - The equipment is poorly maintained and at times broken. For the price of this gym, I would expect a lot more. Poor experience from start to finish and still alot more I could add. Highly recommended going else where. Personally I pay less and travel to midland world gym and get a %1000 more value for my money there. Do not recommend

Fantastic experience: Miss Katina in the Creche is absolutely amazing! It’s hard to find time to work out when you’re a mum. But knowing my little one is safe and happy in a lovely CLEAN environment means I have one less thing to worry about. My daughter absolutely loves going, and Miss Katina is so good with the kids! The gym has great facilities, everything I need in terms of equipment is there too.

Fantastic experience: This is my local gym, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. It is a tidy, well equipped gym with two levels (upstairs there is a female-only section), and the staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly. I love the fact that it is open 24 hours, 7 days a week if you purchase a proxy card from the front desk (it’s a one time fee and is inexpensive). It’s never very busy either, so you can just get on with your workout and not have to compromise your routine because someone else is using it.

Fantastic experience: Tina in the Crèche is incredible - so bubbly and hands on!! Having the crèche available is the only way I am able to train at the gym so it’s important to know my son will be in good hands. I would absolutely recommend Gym Tonic to any parent who is wanting to join a family friendly gym in the area.

Fantastic experience: A good gym. Very big, plenty of equipment. Excellent for group fitness, Nautilus type machines, treadmills etc. Not as good for powerlifting. Free coffee! I negotiated a flexible membership.

Fantastic experience: Awesome all-round gym in Kalamunda! Very friendly atmosphere, huge range of equipment, heaps of space with high ceilings, outdoor cross-fit area, and every group fitness class you can imagine. The staff - who always say hello and are genuinely interested in how you are doing and how they can help you achieve your fitness goals - is the bonus and what I believe sets them apart from other gyms/fitness clubs. Couldn't ask for any more.
