Negative experience: I started at F45 Balwyn when it opened 5 years ago. The workouts are great and ever challenging. The trainers are knowledgeable and the sense of community is great. Bec is definitely one of my favourites. Unfortunately Mark and Jo have different rules for people of diverse backgrounds / older people. Ageism/ racism is definitely rife in this studio. Being on the receiving end of their vile bullying behaviour has definitely been one of my worst experiences.
Fantastic experience: F45 Balwyn has been my go-to gym for the past three years, and I absolutely love it! The sense of community here is incredible, and the coaches are nothing short of amazing. They’re super supportive, knowledgeable, and always bring so much energy to every session. Great selection of classes both morning, lunchtime and evening which has helped me fit in a 45 minute session during my busy week which I am very grateful for! Highly recommend this awesome gym to anyone looking to get fitter while also wanting to have some fun and a laugh!
Negative experience: The worst experience i have had with 4 F45’s i have tried in last 3 years. I joined for one week, no one bothers to even ask the name or what my body goals are. Just one trainer ‘Bec’ i think was looking after the clients during workout. Apart from that, no one ever asked me my name in those 3-4 days i went. So i did not continue because they just dont care about the people who join and we are paying almost triple from a traditional gym. More focused just to make instagram stories and that it. They need to improve the customer service skills within their team.
Fantastic experience: All the coaches are absolutely fantastic! They’ve been so welcoming and are so supportive and helpful. Mark, Bec, Hamish, Alden, Hannah, Steve and Jo are an all star cast.
Fantastic experience: Love this studio! I usually go to F45 in Los Angeles, where I live, but love getting to workout at F45 Balwyn when I am back in Melbourne visiting family. Amazing instructors and great community. Genuinely look forward to coming in every day.

Fantastic experience: Even with minimal workout experience and not great record in being consistent in my fitness route, this place feels somewhat right and always makes me looking forward to the next class, just so many different kinds of workout to play with. It has kept me going for couple of months now and still not bored yet ^^. Huge credit to the supportive, knowledgeable and friendly coaches, always ensuring proper form and lots of encouragement and fun. Also the amazing studio vibe! It’s the place to be. :)

Fantastic experience: I have great experience being part of the F-45 Balwyn community. The place is clean, and the equipment is in great condition. The coaches are super helpful, kind and hospitable. They make me feel welcome, and they have been very supportive and showed me the proper way to exercise. I am so thankful for them. 100 % 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: The best F45 studio I’ve trained at by a LONG shot! I’ve trained at about 10 different locations and none come close to Balwyn. The trainers actually correct you with your form and track your goals on the weekly. Great coaches, great vibe and a fantastic community!

Fantastic experience: Its a great place to be fit and active. The staff are really friendly and cater to your personal needs even though you are working out in a group. It is a perfect environment to comfortably make friends and still be active. I’ve been a member for over a year and have been able to join the community and really engage while also working on my physical health.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going now for 4 weeks and I’ve never felt better. The first week was tough and I was aching all over, but then the pain went and now I have extra energy and stamina throughout the day that lasts. Each 45 minute session is different, so you will never get board, and because the sessions are short it won’t affect your lifestyle either. The coaching is great and they will also will help you modify any exercises for existing injuries or weaknesses. It’s also very much a family atmosphere where you will get to know others and those who support you throughout your workout. I believe F45 is one of the best investments you can make in yourself. My daughters love it and talked me into it. I’m so glad they did.

Fantastic experience: F45 Balwyn was awesome. Loved the variety and set up that is F45. It’s efficient, modifiable and just the best way to start your day! Fantastic experience: I’m one of those “never been to a gym, can’t do a push up, please don’t make me run” types and didn’t believe that something like F45 could be for me. But I signed up for the two week trial to give it ago, and absolutely loved it! So much so that I’ve signed up to be a regular member. The sessions are fast and completely modifiable for anyone who has never done this type of exercise before. Mark, Jo and all the trainers offer so much kind encouragement and place a lot of emphasis on getting your form right and being safe rather than pushing yourself too hard. Everyone who attends is super friendly but you’re really just focused on yourself and moving through the session which is great. I feel super accomplished each time I go and can see such great opportunity to improve my strength, cardio and overall well-being if I keep at it. Thanks for making me feel so welcome!

Fantastic experience: I joined F45 Balwyn for a 2 week trial. I am typically a runner, so I was a bit nervous about doing weight training. Luckily most of the classes are a mix of both, so that was good. Plus, the trainers have been amazing and have helped me learn the different exercises and how to improve my form (which is pretty hopeless!). It has been great so far and I just signed up to be a member after my trial. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Wouldn’t consider myself a big gym person - I generally and find it hard to get motivated, but I love this studio! The coaches have a really personalised approach, they know every person and their fitness levels and encourage accordingly. It’s really motivating and I’m not dropping off like I used to with the bigger gyms. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I've waited at just inside the door and no one bothered twice to deal with me as a potential client who loves one street away with many contacts in the fitness industry. The music was crazy loud. Has been for days. I don't believe this venue cares about the above offices more really anyone. I'm not going to bother recognizing this rubbish behavior in our local neighborhood as decent, nor considerate!
