Derrimut 24:7 Gym - Shepparton

Negative experience: It needs zero stars or even minus, instead of making it 24/7 as it’s named Derrimut 24:7, they keep reducing opening hours and on weekends it just open at the time when no one can come.

Negative experience: Don't sign up as I personally don't think this gym will be around much longer. I've just received an email to say the opening time is changing from 4am to 6am which stops any tradie from coming in before work. The fridges haven't been stocked for a month, there is never any paper towel for cleaning, there was a vending machine but it now being taken away, gym equipment that breaks takes months to be repaired. They have now reduced the opening hours again I'm guessing as a cost saving option but this will impact membership numbers which will in turn make things even worse for the Gym. My prediction is this gym won't be open much longer, the writing is on the wall things aren't going well. Please don't waste your money on paying upfront for 12 months as they won't survive the next 12 months at this rate

Negative experience: never any paper towel and opening hours are continuously restricted. 5pm on a weekend it outrageous. do better please.

Negative experience: This is the first time a staff member has commented, "You guys should come early." We arrived at 10:30 PM today (14/02/2025) after my partner’s hospital shift, knowing we still had 30 minutes before the gym closed at 11 pm. Upon arrival, the staff did not immediately open the door, despite being aware that members were waiting outside. She only opened it after I looked at her, as if checking whether she intended to. When we entered, she made the remark above. We didn’t respond, simply tapped our badges, and hurried to make the most of our time. On our previous visits, even when arriving at 10:45 pm, other staff members have been friendly, only reminding us about the closing time. Today, however, was a different experience. Now, we plan to switch to a 24-hour gym soon, as hospital shifts can sometimes extend unpredictably, and we need more flexibility. On the other hand, I like Derrimut for its spacious area and diverse selection of equipment.

Positive experience: Good gym for the area, only thing is it’s missing some vital equipment for body building

Negative experience: The gym is run down mess. nothing is ever repaired with machines broken all year. All staff do is wander around and do nothing to improve or clean the place. It’s clear upper management couldn’t give a rats ass about the place what so ever and us members loose out by paying 100% of fees for a 50% operational gym Will be Moving gyms next year after being a member since they opened. Enoughs enough.

Negative experience: Lots of machines not working. Seeing tags out of order from months 4 months here water section is dirty wet always.. Lots of unhygienic spots and toilets always dirty.. Gym was 24hours they changed timings byself. I started gym because it was 24 ..hour open as compared to others around. For people wanna join pls find better place its not worth anymore…

Negative experience: DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM!! I joined this gym back in August for fortnightly fee of $9.90 today I received an email saying they are increasing my member to $23.90 fortnightly . When i called to discuss this no one answers the call. What a SCAM!!

Positive experience: Derrimut Shepparton is a well known franchise that has been around since 2022. High quality build and extremely suitably for people needing large spaces, heaps of equipment, basketball courts, aerobic workouts, zumba and boxing/kickboxing enthusiasts. The size of this gym is impressive. Pros: -Friendly and helpful staff that aim to assist you and achieve high quality service experience -Cleanliness of gym equipment and hygiene endorsement by providing cleaning cloths. -bathing toilets -Merchandise store selling health supplements, precooked food and beverages and merchandise. -CCTV cameras. -plenty of car parking spaces. Cons: -The music is disturbingly loud often. -storage areas in the entrance is not secured. -reduced and restricted hours of opening. Happy with the gym overall and the experience but the music volume is my only issue that draws me back.

Positive experience: Would be handy to keep up with the maintenance on the machines - Prone Leg Curl & Leg Extension

Negative experience: I would love to know Derrimut's definition of 'temporary'. These machines have been 'temporary'out of order' for over 6 months.

Negative experience: Do not even bother with this place anymore. Back maybe a year ago the place was staffed 24/7 with nice and helpful staff and the facilities were always clean. Now the staff cannot or maybe are not willing in the slightest to help with issues you have and it is not staffed the full 24/7 as the name suggests. I updated the hours on google months back to reflect the adjustment that was made to their hours as they had left it unchanged for quite a while which seemed a bit misleading to people at first glance. This gym forces you to do payments through a debit company that have been nothing but trouble since the first week of me signing up which upon any issues appearing, the gym staff will say there's nothing they can do as it's through the debit company and the debit company is constantly threatening to sell your debt to a collection agency even though there was a payment issue somewhere along the way at no fault of your own. Im not saying this is going to happen to everyone but it has happened to me and others that have left us with a sour taste in our mouth. There was a payment issue upon my first week of signing up which the staff that was working at the time handled quickly and left me with an apology. The staff nowadays are the most useless I think I've seen and have been incredibly rude in the recent times I've had to deal with them. They seem to just brush off any issue you have as if they do not care in the slightest. They have just led me in circles telling me there's nothing that can be done and to contact the debit company. The debit company then tells me that I need to contact derrimut as there is also nothing they can do. Do not even bother with signing up as you'll just be left with headaches. I don't think it will ever be worth signing up again, even if the facilities are usually pretty clean, there are much better gym options around Shepparton that do not leave you with the headache this place does.

Negative experience: Would have been a 4 previously but has gone downhill in recent months. Most of the aircons have been not working in the new section for months now, and in a large shed on 30+ degree days it makes you not even want to go.

Positive experience: Not my usual Derrimuts, but it's still a pretty good gym, staff are friendly and energetic. Ample amount of equipment with a decent setout, although some equipment is a different brand to what I'm used to, it does lack instructions. But not the end of the world I suppose

Positive experience: Love the gym and the equipment, pease review your weekend closing time. I can understand uses have staff issue but closing up at 9pm is too early for those member that’s wants to fit in a night workout. Time needs to be extended to minimum 10pm. Thanks

Negative experience: Good equipment, down side is it isn't running as a 24:7 gym as advertised. I joined this gym because it was 24:7 when I joined that changed after a month. I'll be going else where that offer 24/7 once my contract is done. Edited: Still no change in this gym they even lost my email so my tag wouldn't work. joined another gym "24/7" unstaffed, clean, great equipment. It's a shame derrimut 24/7 shepparton could have done better, I would have renewed.

Fantastic experience: The only gym I'd go to next time in Shepparton - friendly staff, always in attendance - very clean and spacious - spacious and clean changing rooms and showers - massive range of equipment no mater what your fitness fetish is, from weights to cardio, to boxing, kettle bells, ropes, - they have it all... even if it is just mirrors that you go to gym for... they have 360 degrees of them! - you can get a wide range of apparel and supplements if you're into it - very, very competitive rates Undoubtedly a very unexpected and nice surprise while visiting Shepp. I just could not fail it... Disclaimer: I know no one at this gym and have no interest in their business whatsoever

Positive experience: I have been a member of Derrimut Gym for almost a year. Derrimut Gym's membership prices are competitive and great value for the price. The Shepparton gym is consistently cleaned and looked after by the staff and never feels overcrowded. There is a friendly environment and a decent shop that stocks food, drink and gym clothes. The one way Derrimut could improve its already excellent service is by offering created gym programs for new and existing members. Regardless, you will not regret being a member here.

Fantastic experience: As soon as i walked into the gym the staff where so nice the showed me there exquisite equipment, i knew instantly this was the gym for me. The manager helped me with my membership form and explained everything down to a T.
