Fantastic experience: My 5 and 8 year old kids wanted to join, so I took up the opportunity to learn to. We do the open class, where we warm up together but then split off based on age. I love being able to see my kids in their lessons but also do my own training at the same time - way better than just sitting to watch them!

You won’t get to the UFC from here but you will have fun, get fitter, and learn some skills. An excellent start for kids into TKD

Negative experience: I am writing this from my dad's phone. I went to this place 3 years ago, it did not seem at all practical. You didn't spar till you were a black belt. Sparring is crucial learning martial arts with out sparring is like playing cricket with out hitting the ball. Also you just got a tip for being there so no matter how bad you are you can still advance. Also the fitness regiment was not scrict enough. Thanks and I say this with respect.

The kids are taught discipline, self defence and fitness. The training is a great way for kids to build confidence and learn about how to defend themselves should they need it.

Fantastic experience: We have been at KMAA now for approx 2-3 years now, recommended by several friends. We highly recommend the safe, professional, and family friendly environment. All of the staff show great enthusiasm and respect for all students, and the learnings and discipline is great for children of all ages (personal experience with our children aged 5-9). Well done to all the KMAA staff for producing a fun and family friendly environment for all.

Negative experience: In 2016, I raised a concern about the dangerous way the kids were doing somersaults, balancing all their weight on their necks before crumpling over. One student was visibly in pain as a result. It was harrowing to watch. Even after multiple times contacting the school about the incident they would not reply. Just a simple acknowledgement of the issue would have been ample.. instead due to this issue and some others we left this McDojo.

Fantastic experience: KMAA is an amazing academy. I've visited a few martial arts venues and KMAA provided the best facilities and instructors in my opinion. My children joined classes at the start then I joined as well. The family classes are perfect for us all to train at the same time but in different specifically tailored classes. Fantastic experience: My brothers and I have been attending KMAA classes from a very young age, and we have enjoyed every second. Each class is divided up into separate age groups so that every student will always have an opportunity to create new friendships. During these fun and engaging classes, an important life skill of self-defence is learnt in a fun manner.

KMAA has helped with my confidence, co-ordination, focus, leadership and respect and is a constant source of joy. KMAA is a family friendly, student oriented community that has always supported me and my family when we have needed it. Sir and the rest of the instructors are like a second family who have an intense, admirable passion for their jobs and providing the best service to the students and their families as possible.
