Snap Fitness 24/7 West Ipswich

Negative experience: Equipment is broken and seems to never get fixed. Has barely changed since I was last training here in 2020. Seems like the owner has given up and stopped caring about this facility. Quite sad as it has so much potential

Negative experience: I've been a regular at this gym for the past six months, coming in 3-5 times a week. Initially, I chose it purely for its proximity, but over time, my frustration has only grown. The gym has had three managers in the time I've been a member, and unfortunately, the quality has only declined with each change. To start, the cleanliness is consistently poor. The floors are often filthy, the equipment is covered in dust and grime, and the same pieces of equipment have been broken since I first started coming here. It's honestly hard to recall a time when the vending machine has worked, and the overall upkeep just feels neglected. One thing I find particularly disheartening is the lack of attention to the environment. Despite coming here so frequently, I've noticed equipment left out, members training without towels, and a general sense of disregard for gym etiquette. Yet, when I met the new manager, I was scolded for my shoes—something I wasn’t aware was an issue, and I understand it’s a rule. But after six years of gym memberships across various locations, it felt frustrating that the focus was placed on something as minor as footwear, rather than the cleanliness and maintenance that actually impacts the experience. I do travel a lot for work and go to many gyms across the country and when given the opportunity I train elsewhere but unfortunately when I am home this is the most convenient gym for me to go to. With that said, the gym does have its positives. The location is incredibly convenient, and the minimal crowd is a perk. I do appreciate that the equipment is still fully functional, and they have what you need to get a solid workout. But beyond that, it’s hard to recommend this gym when it’s clear that attention to detail and maintenance are severely lacking. I genuinely hope things improve, but until then, I’ll continue to come here purely for convenience. Unfortunately, this has been a very disappointing experience overall.

Negative experience: This gym is dirty, equipment is old and broken. Some money needs to be poured into updating equipment and getting a good cleaner. I have come from another snap gym and it is disappointing and unmotivated to work out in this gym.

Positive experience: Some of the equipment is outdated. And needs a good clean.

Fantastic experience: Josh is great, showed us around, and made us feel welcome. Followed up to make sure we had everything we needed. Isaac helped to show us some exercises. The equipment and space is comfortable and showers are always clean.

Negative experience: I had originally left the gym due to the hygiene being poor. I have only just signed back up to the gym as it is close to home and the hygiene has gotten even worse. Everything is covered in lint, human hair and grass left on the floor for days. All equipment is covered in lint and underneath equipment, the mirrors are covered in oily hand prints. Cleaning is not performed on a regular basis at all. The female toilet is broken and constantly running water. The bin is left full and toilet paper everywhere and lint all over the floor. Not a clean place that should be shared with others as the hygiene is atrocious. The sign out the front is also broken as it’s been ran over and propped up against a tree not a good look for the front of the gym.

Positive experience: Great place to train rarely busy never have to wait for equipment

Fantastic experience: Have been coming here for just over 6 months now & can say that for a Snap fitness it's the most welcoming & enjoyable atmosphere I've seen. Staff are friendly & helpful & the social & friendly vibe of the gym makes it enjoyable to train in

Negative experience: Rang this gym quite a few times to discuss joining but the phone is never answered. After reading the reviews I am glad I went elsewhere

Negative experience: Hi all i came in to your gym was not very impressed with the staff member, she was Rude not a good start, I still had a look around but it was very untidy and dusty Not sure if this will be a good fit for me at this time.

Fantastic experience: I have been training at West Ipswich Snap for about 4 years and it is still super inviting, and has everything you need to train in all aspects. Management is always up for improving the gym and relations with members and are doing a great job of promoting the club. Great vibes and great equipment

Negative experience: Reno's r good but unfortunately it's the same old broken equipment just moved around into different places and toilets r never cleaned

Fantastic experience: I've trained at a bunch of snap fitness' gyms over the years and ipswich is by far one of the best. Morgan pours her heart and soul I to making this gym the best in the area. The gym is clean, has a ton of free weights and machines. The atmosphere and the members are amazing. No matter where you are in your fitness journey everyone makes you feel welcome. Certainly feels like 1 big family. And the Reno's have made a huge difference, tons more space, more room to expand, new platforms (for the powerlifters among us) its got everything you need and more. Don't listen to the salty haters, get down and see for yourself. You won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: This gym has it all! The team, the vibe, the equipment, the pricing, the level of cleanliness, and the overall experience! I’ve been a member of a lot of fitness clubs throughout the years - some basic and some state of the art, but Snap West Ipswich is my absolute fave place to go and unwind for its fun, easy-going and judgement-free vibe. The support I get from the trainers is above and beyond, and none of my enquires have ever been too much to ask from the manager, Morgan. Thank you guys for everything! I cannot recommend this gym and its team enough!

They have always encouraged members to bring out their very best, this has to be one of the friendliest gyms I have ever been to. The new refurb layout makes this gym feels so spacious and a very comfortable environment to train in.

Positive experience: Great studio gym with all round equipment. More cable machines would be better. Good cardio. Set up could be more efficient. Still ticks all the boxes

Negative experience: There’s a few reasons why not many people go to this gym anymore , Rude and moody manager unfit and out of shape trainer, old outdated and not maintained equipment,this gym doesn’t even have a proper cleaner plenty of better gyms around and surprise surprise most of them are cheaper too.

Fantastic experience: Morgan and Issac are the best team you could ask for in a gym. The gym is kept clean and is nice and cozy. I love that it is also never too busy so it reduces the level of overwhelm. I am so grateful to be a part of the Snap Fitness family!

Fantastic experience: This is one of my new regular gyms. It has ample parking space. I train it off peak times so can't comment on how busy the gym gets in peak hour, but I have never had to wait for equipment. When I asked about some equipment that was not yet available in the gym, the manager was very responsive. The bathroom and change facilities are clean and well appointed, although the accessible shower and bathroom was out of order when I last visited. I'm sure this will be fixed soon.

Positive experience: Pretty decent club. Quiet with no waiting for equipment. Loses a star due to no fans in main gym area which does make it stuffy and aircon needs to be on for longer hours, not just when club staff are in. No personal training or classes at all. Great if you just want to do basic cardio and weights while enjoying a quiet laidback atmosphere.

Negative experience: The membership is overpriced was ment to be month to month and was signed up for a year no emails were answered for a long time and than cost me more to pay very bad service from management

Positive experience: I've been going here since November 2021. It started off well organised and good atmosphere. But it's not a competitive gym, is more of a place where you go to get your workout over and done with. It's small but has all you need for 90% of your muscle groups. The lighting is all natural, from a personal stand point the lighting and mirrors don't work well for your pump or pictures. Obviously others won't care about it but some most definitely do. I've noticed that weights aren't being put away and it could use a clean more often due to dust on weights and machines. There are cheaper options with better atmosphere. I come here merely for the convenience and location.

Fantastic experience: Snap Fitness West Ipswich remains my favourite gym. Mel our new manager is simply terrific, energetic, knowledgeable and always ready to advise when requested. Recommend anyone to this gym. Good equipment, stimulating decor and spacious feel.

I only left this gym as I want to focus on MMA and boxing but if you only want to do cardio and weights in a comfortable environment I’d certainly recommend Snap Fitness West Ipswich.

Positive experience: Rang to organise to come there to sign up. Left 2 voice mails in a couple days apart. 3rd time I call. voice mail box was full. Still havent had a call back. Disappointing. But signed up elsewhere. Well 2 weeks later I finally get a call back. Not good customer service. And not good for a business owner loosing business.

Negative experience: Unable to access all equipment areas within the gym, as I was not a member of West Ipswich Snap, not good, you pay a weekly fee to access all Snap gyms around the world, therefore you should be able to access all equipment within each gym!!!!!!! West Ipswich Snap need to change this as a matter of high priority!!!!

Positive experience: Great location. On site parking available. 24hr, 7 day a week access. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent amount of gym equipment available to use. Would be good to have more classes available.
