Positive experience: Needs bigger rooms for classes

Fantastic experience: Been a member of many gyms in Perth over the years. Goodlife gyms are different- they offer a variety of training classes at multiple locations. Great club, great clientele,well maintained and fantastic facilities too. Staff across the board amazing especially the pilates instructors. Glad I joined !

Negative experience: There are some great seasoned devoted PTs here. This place is restricted in its improvement due to Head Office ridiculous control and expectations of such a small gym. Seems to be more concern and promotion on group classes than the other sections of the gym. 2nd hand equipment are purchased for the gym with no racks, an OH&S issue not within the staff's control. Staff are good and helpful however when it comes to any changes to financial related matters, there's always a stuff up. Not the best gym around, would have left a long time ago if it wasn't for the PTs that I value.

Fantastic experience: I was a founding member at Floreat when it first started as Fitness First. The fitness classes are great and there are daily classes to attend in the studio, plus the cycle classes. The number of machines has been increased to cater for more members and it is a Club where friendships flourish among the attendees as well as the pleasant staff. I recommend trying it out for yourselves.

Negative experience: Staffed hours are meant to be from 7am but staff more than often get there 5 mins late and sauna/ steam will open up at after that. If a service starts at 7, surely they would ensure staff get there before so that the service actually starts at 7. PTs often have clients without membership waiting outside for the doors to be open. Absolutely poor service.

Positive experience: Amazing to use during the day but I tried to go after hours as it was the only time I could go and the after hours card doe not work

Negative experience: Don’t get contract with this branch as I end up paying lot extra . They didn’t consider I relocate to different suburb . Not happy with management at this branch.

Fantastic experience: Clean and good facilities

Negative experience: Goodlife prey on people by having hidden fees and making it extremely hard to cancel memberships. They have sales targets to hit each month as well as cancellation targets so don't be surprised if your money is still coming out after you requested to cancel. That's not a mistake. It's just someone didn't process the cancellation because they didn't want to get fired for not hitting their monthly target. Gym facility is pretty poor considering it was updated a few years ago. If you want value for money, go to revo fitness. Amazing gyms and less than $10 a week.

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere and facilities. Being going there for many years (more than 10 years to be precise).

Positive experience: I've added another star, albiet cautiously. The reason is that since my initial, it seems a positive change in personnel and management has occurred at this gym. I'm hoping to add more stars if this new level is maintained. Previously, I wrote... During manned hours, they allow barefoot people in with their large pets. The person on the desk pretends to not know the pet police and the trainers ignore it too. There were a large number of users in the gym. Great leadership and management, Thank you Floreat Good-pet-life. Reconsidering why I pay membership.

Positive experience: Got charged $9.99 for a "free" training session. I know people who have cancelled their membership and goodlife is still deducting money from their accounts. Opening hours keep decreasing out of nowhere too. Good people, equipment, trainers ect tho. great gym overall

Positive experience: Pretty small for a GoodLife club. Selection of equipment is ok but not great. There are better GoodLife clubs around

Negative experience: My wife & two daughters joined goodlife Floeat. For the first month we were being charged Late fees, stating her account details were not correct. After going into the gym twice to check Details which were correct and still not working we decided to cancel membership, which I then had to add my account because they needed To take payment for 1 more month. Two months have now passed and they are still Deducting money from my account. Today I was told that we had to go through The whole ordeal again to cancel & they would not refund the fraudulent charges. Also a $9.99 quarterly fee for a personal training Session which was never mentioned. My daughters are at school & each earn around $60.00 a week. Something is really wrong when large companies take advantage of our young.

Fantastic experience: Good gym. Sauna is great

Negative experience: Beware when cancelling membership, complete stuff around and subsequent deductions from my NAB account totaling $160. Left the gym because they have 4 benches that were always taken up with people updating facebook status and sitting around talking. When you are on limited time it is infuriating when you cant get on machines or use benches. On a positive note 5 stars to Trainer Mike who is absolutely brilliant and knows his stuff, if you want results he is your man.

Fantastic experience: Quality facilities clean, well equipped gym,plenty of space, professional staff ,great team spirit.Good choice of classes. Friendly management team.

Negative experience: Charge you max dollar 90% of people in this gym are excempt from cleaning the equipment because they 5 five the trainer seriously you only have 4 adjustable benchs you can't call you a premium club. Debit success are criminals I rather not deal with debit collects

Fantastic experience: Brilliant team, highly recommend joining Goodlife Floreat. Can get busy between 4 and 6 in the evenings, but always plenty of space outside those times. Clean, good equipment, good atmosphere, and again, great team, from the guys on the front desk through to management and the PTs. One request would be to increase the number of 6am RPM classes considering the lower numbers permitted in each class.

Positive experience: Easily the best GoodLife in the Western burbs, quiet, new machines and lots of space, palace compared to Innaloo!

Positive experience: Love going to Goodlife Floreat nice staff and good equipment. The group classes are also good.

Negative experience: I'm just trying to get a free trial so I can see what the gym is like but their free trial sign up system doesn't work and I have a feeling its done on purpose. Entered my phone number so they could send a verification code. They said wait up to 2 minutes to receive the code and I still haven't got a code an hour later. I've tried re sending the code multiple times but nothing happens. I feel like all they want is money and don't want anyone wasting their time with a free trial. P.S The membership prices are ridiculous

Fantastic experience: Great equipment...

Positive experience: For years this place was not up to goodlife standards and would've been 2 stars, but their latest revamp has made it an exceptional facility. My only negative is I've been asking for a boxing bag for years and they just had the perfect opportunity to implement one but have ignored the suggestion yet again.

Negative experience: Upon joining I agreed to pay an additional $99 for an assessment that was never conducted as the assessor did not show up when the assessment was booked. I requested these funds be returned; however this did not occur, so it would appear that retention of funds under false pretenses is an acceptable practice. In addition, at the time of joining it was explained that I was committing to a minimum of 12 monthly payments, which I accepted. If I wished to cease my membership, I had to give notice before the 12th payment was made, which I did. I have now been debited a 13th payment and am concerned that this direct debit will continue, so again it would appear that the taking of funds under false pretenses is acceptable. Whilst the gym facilities were good, the administrative side has left a bitter taste in my mouth. As a consequence, I would recommend that anyone considering joining review their thinking and tread very carefully!

Fantastic experience: Clean and modern goodlife with friendly staff and personal trainers, although I moved out of the area , best of 4 good life I have been to in the area.

Negative experience: I have been stuck in with a contract with Goodlife Floreat for over a year now, with them over charging me, and always talking me out of canceling my membership. This was the first gym i got a membership for, and i have had a horrible experience from the beginning finally. The gym itself is good, but the people that work their and their accounts team are money hungry scammers. Do NOT get a lock in contract with this gym. I would give it 0 stars if i could.

Negative experience: Okay gym personal trainers excellent. When trying to cancel my membership felt they tried to delay it or miscommunication with the gentleman at reception?. Stream room good. Sauna works.

Fantastic experience: Good club!

Negative experience: Whilst attending the gym they have hidden fees which I was not told about. I then tried to cancel my membership after my one year membership ran out through both an email and call however they charged me $62 a few months later and would not refund the money as they said I had only ‘suspended’ it, which I had definitely not done. Tried to talk to the people in the head office and they were not helpful. Highly would not recommend this gym!

Fantastic experience: Small, but not every busy, great for any long workout

Negative experience: Very poor exit clause - warning to read your contract carefully as they are very inflexible. My 16 year old has been stung and will not use Goodlife ever again!!

Fantastic experience: Always friendly staff and a clean environment. P.T Cam Crump is a legend, if you looking for some real progress in regards to your fitness ask for him at the front counter! He's an absolute champ and really goes the extra mile to see his clients get the best results. My only negative comment would be that he tries to make everyday, leg day!! :)

Positive experience: Showers arent cleaned properly but the club itself is ok
