Fantastic experience: I work in hospitality, enjoy travelling & often find myself in new places seeking out new gyms. Gyms can be a daunting place, and not many I've been to, have had the the same friendly welcoming that Daniel (?? Think that's his name) provided. The perk of allowing drop ins is not common, and really appreciated. As a new guest, the gym has great equipment, clean and well taken care of. He was knowledgeable, showed me around, and just a really chilled gym. Definitely my gym of choice when here, and will be back.

Negative experience: Did not authorise my bank details to be used in someone else's account. Lack of due diligence from the gym if they did not verify the owner of the account before setting them up. Have chased up with debitsuccess and my bank over a refund but this could have been avoided.

Fantastic experience: Daniel’s happy and helpful demeanour is a great motivator to get me in the gym 3 to 4 times a week . Always got a smile and joke to get me moving. He makes my short and sweet workouts worth it when we aren’t chatting for an hour. He reminds me of my young self, bit of cockiness but the right amount of attitude to force me to not be a lazy ass plus he probably goes hard at a contested ball in footy.

Fantastic experience: Going to a new gym is always confronting. Heck, going to a gym in general is tough. The discipline needed, the motivation needed and not to mention the right amount of caffeinated pre workout coursing through your veins. BUT going Zap in Williamstown is an absolute breeze! Yea, the equipment is good and always clean, the atmosphere happy and welcoming, but the real draw to this gym is the main man at the front desk, Daniel! Zap really hit the jackpot when they hired this guy! He has honestly made this place epic. He is always smiling, up for a laugh and is just an all-round great guy! Seriously, if Mr Miyagi was still alive, he would be signing up to Zap Williamstown today! Great gym, even greater staff. Keep up the awesome work Daniel Son.

Fantastic experience: Going to the gym isn’t always a delight, but let me tell you, it’s Daniel who makes all the difference! This guy's got the friendliness of a puppy and the cleaning precision of a Swiss watchmaker. Every time I walk in, he's there with a smile, making me feel like I actually belong in this room full of barbells and overly optimistic treadmills. Daniel doesn't just clean; he disinfects like he’s preparing the gym for an Olympic event. He's scrubbing down everything in sight, and honestly, I half expect him to sanitise my soul if I stand still too long! His dedication to keeping the place fresh and odor-free makes me think he’s part cleaning wizard, part fitness coach. Bottom line: if gyms gave out gold medals for cleanliness, Daniel would be our hero standing atop the milk crates beaming with his pearly whites. He’s a total legend, and I'm genuinely less afraid of the gym thanks to his hard work. Thank you, Daniel—you’re a champion!

Fantastic experience: Came here as a guest. Really great experience with one of the workers named Daniel or however you spell his name. He explained every machine well, keeps the place clean as he is giving me a tour around the facility. Overall he made this a really engaging and fun experience. I’m going to have to cancel my membership from my previous gym and go to this one.

Negative experience: Rude staff, tricky t&c's, small gym, not much variety of equipment, zero crossfit, staff are not empathetic. Will not cancel without a month extra of payments even if on a 'hold', relocating and struggling financially with no gym in new location.

Fantastic experience: Can't fault anything except one really minor yet annoying (to me, at least) glitch: I have been a member since 2016 (Williamstown branch). That's over 9 years. Audio from the speaker system and the video on the monitors were out of sync back then and still is out of sync 9 years on. I'm talking about a lag of over a whole second if I'm right. It's so bad sometimes you can even briefly see the next music video whilst the sound of the previous one is still going. Please please get this fixed. Thank you.

Negative experience: I should have read the reviews on here before joining. I joined online and they’re happy to take the money out of the account straight away, However giving you the fob to access the gym is difficult during their staff hours when working shift work(hence joining a 24hr gym). First time their system doesn’t work. Second time there are no staff when I was told the gym would be staffed. Paying for no access.

I found out post sign up that I have to attend to collect my access fob from the gym during staffed hours (sort of contradicts the purpose of an online sign up). I drove to the store to collect the access fob in staffed hours and no one was there to let me in. Even without using the gym for single day paid the subscription for 3 months unknowingly....very pathetic customer service

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Reasonably modern Life Fitness equipment with big screens maintained to a good standard. Ample weights. Never too busy but always good atmosphere. Always open which is great. No classes that I’m aware of but Jamie the personal trainer is excellent. A good no fuss gym that’s good value if you can find a deal.

Negative experience: Members beware. If you joined on a yearly membership this does not go by time, it goes by the number of payments you have made. If you need to move somewhere that there is NO ZAP gyms they will charge you a minimum of $195 for that pleasure. No Negotiation, Poor customer service, and told I had to pay the cancellation fee. Lets use Covid-19 as an excuse to gauge money from people that can't use there facilities. YES BEWARE ZAP MEMEBERSHIPS ARE DOGEY ?? Response to below - your call centre advised that it goes on payments NOT time your a member. Maybe you need to get your policies straight.

Negative experience: I have been charged for more than 2 months without knowing. This gym is stealing money from the customers. They took advantage from the covid situation to take the money from people who wasn’t going anymore.

Fantastic experience: Nathan is the greatest bloke, lighting is superior to any other gym, great bodybuilding atmosphere with lots of like-minded people.

Negative experience: Changing from 2 stars to 1. I literally saw 10 people walking in with no membership. Very frustrating as machines were all in use and paying members were unable to use machines... Feel free to review your camera's..

Negative experience: Long story short Placed on wrong payment / contract Asked for refund Treated badly by head office Settlement agreed and 2 weeks later refund processed (after multiple requests) Then found out they are still charging my credit card, numerous attempt to resolve it. Refund finally processed of incorrect amount. Unenjoyable experience dealing corporate office, they are aggressive and do not keep promises, also told me I can cancel contract anytime, overall confusing and unprofessional.

Positive experience: Has the majority of the machines you need. Machines are well maintained. Gym is never busy. Usually has about 10 other gym goers present, so you don't need to wait long for machines. Costs ~ $14.99 a week with $60 sign up fee. If you commit to ~ 12 months, you can get membership for $12 a week. Small toilet and shower in the back. No real changing room. Its not the type of place to get ready for work. Staff are lovely.

They won't acknowledge my cancellation request. I had to lodge a dispute with my bank to get my money back. Zap Fitness Williamstown = woeful service and dodgy business practices. Avoid at all costs!

Positive experience: A bit dark, but has everything a gym needs. Good crowd, mixed ages. (Absolutely terrible American RnB trash on the stereo, but that seems common at all Zap gyms)
