Fantastic experience: This is where I go to workout regularly and have been able to sustain it for the first time in my life. I like the atmosphere - just normal peeps no creeps
Fantastic experience: Absolutely love Plus Fitness Blaxland. The Manager Carly & her team are professional & always happy to help. The equipment is in great condition with plenty of space and variety. During Blaxland’s short closure for a refit I had gone to other Plus Fitness gyms and not one of them came close to the amazing atmosphere you get at Plus Fitness Blaxland.

Fantastic experience: well equipped and extremely convenient location close to the shops, parking lots and a railway station, this is an excellent fitness organisation which I recommend.
Positive experience: Has almost everything you need. Older crowd, very welcoming. Do not recommend after school, unless you like roaming bands of teenagers.

Positive experience: 2nd March. Feedback for Blaxland shop. The exercise bike 2 away from the office is faulty… the support column for the display unit is loose and wobbles about.

Negative experience: Not sure how this place has 4.4 stars, i messaged them in may asking if they accept fitness passport in may and 4 months later they told me they do. Great response time on their socials lol

Fantastic experience: This is the 2nd time I have joined a gym and I am pleased to say this time I am sticking with it. Donna has been fantastic in keeping me interested, motivated and challenged, I have never been so fit and I now actually like exercise. She is always available if I have trouble with a machine or movement.
Fantastic experience: A well run, clean, welcoming, covid safe gym. The manager is always ready to help and explain correct use of equipment. Classes are well run and tailored to ability of participants.
Fantastic experience: The most friendliest gym ever. All us girls ‘the bar belles’ love coming here. Donna, our fitness guru makes it fun and challenging. Her knowledge is extensive and a great woman to add.
Negative experience: This is an honest review you can trust from someone who is passionate about lifting. if you new to lifting this is not the place to start . The personal training is simply horrible . they give the same cookie cutter program to everyone .There’s no check ins on to how your going or progressing either . me and my mates have had to wing it and learn to lift and grow ourselves. there’s no support from staff . the equipment is lack lustre for the amount you pay compared to other commercial gyms . They do not upgrade equipment and if it breaks it’s gone for good as they will not spend the money to fix it . dumbbells go up to 50 kg max which is hardly heavy enough once you move to a novice to advanced lifting level . They have a box where you can suggest additions to the gym , but you may as well get ur suggestions and throw them in the toilets which are commonly filthy . I’d recommend anytime fitness or revolutions if you are in the area , for the money you pay there are simply better alternatives. There’s no community spirit or moral . the Challenge board has not been touched in over 2 years . The equipment quality is also terrible and if you tall you will be unable to get full range of motion on most cable machines leading to decreased muscle gain . I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody!

In reply to your comments: According to our records you (or your friends) have not undertaken any personal training with any of our trainers so we fail to see how you can comment here - all of our trainers take great pride in personalising programs to suit interested clients and their individual needs (NB - PT is not an inclusion of your gym access membership - this is an optional extra available to all members). We do offer an induction training session for new members so they can feel more confident about their fitness journey - perhaps this is what you are referring to? Our entry log also indicates that your training is performed out of staffed hours - please feel free to come in during staffed hours so we can address your questions and for you to sample the sense of community and support that we offer all members. Yes, equipment does wear and does occasionally temporarily go out of service, for this we are sorry - we do implement regular servicing and maintenance of all equipment as required. On your return, please feel free to pop in and show us what the 50kg dumbells (or heavier) are to be used for - perhaps there is alternative equipment (with greater weight) and exercises available to cater for your requirements We do not market ourselves as a “heavy lifting” gym - however our current offering does cater for 99.9% of current members. If our offering doesn’t suit your needs please feel free to cancel your membership as we have a No Lock in Contract. Thanks for your time.

Positive experience: Pros: The range of equipment, friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness, being open 24hrs, no lock in contract, good competitive pricing for membership, many locations. Cons: No longer have free wifi on offer and I get bad reception so am unable to stream music/videos while working out, costs $20 for replacement swipe card if lost, can get busy during peak times and there are only 1 of some pieces of equipment e.g. smith machine.
Thanks for your feedback We pride ourselves in our range and diversity of equipment which includes (amongst others) multiple squat racks, cable machines and bench presses. To maintain our favorable contracts and pricing we do need to on-charge for the access cards when they are lost - sorry We are in the process of re-establishing the member WiFi - so watch this space. (14/9/20 - Free Member WiFi is now available again to all members whilst training - thanks for your patience)

Negative experience: Used to be a member of this Gym for a few years in 2011 and really loved it. So while i was down in the area for Christmas I wanted sign up again. When i arrived, i rang the bell a female staff member came to the door and I said ‘hi i called up earlier...’ and she cut me off and pointed to her watch and said “I got to be somewhere, what is this about?” I was in and out within a minute flat and i felt really unwelcome, like i was bothering her the whole minute i was there. I did realise after i had arrived just at 12pm which is when the staff leave. I dont mind that she had to be somewhere or even if she politely asked to come back at 3pm when she would be back. But she didn't even say hello or apologies i caught her at a bad time and she had to rush out, she was just was irritated by my presence the moment she saw me and i felt awful. A simple "Sorry we close at 12pm and I have to be somewhere, do you mind coming back 3pm?" would be what you'd expect from a professional staff.
I do apologise that we could not accommodate you outside of staffed hours on this day. As you have mentioned, staff finish at 12pm and you did arrive after this time. On this particular day, our manager was running late for an important personal appointment she was committed to in her break, so she could not stay back in her own time to assist you, unfortunately. So if she seemed rushed, we do ask you forgive this as she was running late already. Usually this would not be the case. Please feel free to pop back in during staffed hours to arrange your visits.
Negative experience: Cancelled my membership ages ago, a few months later I start getting charged again. I rang up to cancel and get refund, they say they never received cancellation and there was no gap in payments (my bank statement says different). I cancelled again, I got only part of my money refunded. Then yesterday I get an email saying I haven't made this week's payment and they've put it through to an agency to collect from me. It's an ok gym but don't expect to get out easily lol. Reply to business reply: Ok so why am I still being charged after cancelling a second time? Have proof of cancellation Rang up gym about the continued charges, was promised manager would ring me back but nothing. I have not accessed the gym in a very long time so if someone is still coming in claiming to be me, it isn't.
Hi Amanda, An email was sent to you on the 30/10/19 and we hope you have now received it. We have checked your account and can confirm your membership has been cancelled. Unfortunately when you came in on the 25/10/19 a direct debit had already processed which was then rejected and our billing provider proceeded as routine and sent your notice. Negative experience: I moved back to Canberra three weeks three weeks ago. The day before I moved, I went onto their website, wrote an email requested my membership to be cancelled. Three weeks later I have been charged twice! I called today and asked why, haven't they received my email? They said the cancellation can only be done in person, or they will have to email me the form and they have not received my email - at any point, there was not apology and the tone of voice was rude. If I had a choice, I would give a BIG ZERO.
Hi Tom, as discussed, we did not receive any email 3 weeks ago. (I just did a search through the whole database). As per the terms and conditions you signed, a Plus Fitness Cancellation form needs to be completed to cancel your membership. We sent this to you when you got in contact with us last week and have now received the form back and cancelled your membership. I wish you all the best with your move.
Positive experience: A pretty standard 24 hour gym. It has decent equipment and ample parking.

Positive experience: Great except for the school groups that come through and destroy the place
Thank you for the review. Plus Fitness Blaxland tries to support our community where possible and we love to encourage younger generations to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. We understand that during this time the gym can be a little busy, however the school groups are only in the gym for 1 hour once a week during school terms. We suggest that members who do not wish to train whilst the school kids are there take advantage of our 24/7 gym access and come outside the times the school groups are training.
Fantastic experience: I have been a member for over 7 years. It was good to start, improved over time. Most recent renovation means more machines, excellent balance of free weights, machines, pulleys and cardiovascular, sled, ropes, rings, and ample space. Usually able to follow my routine even of gym is busy. Staff friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: I sliped on the treadmill which was not the fault of the gym however there were 4 staff of which 3 were on the floor and 2 would have seen me fall. I stopped exercising and sat on the lounge, 2 staff were 3 metres away and offered no assistance. I'm 63 and just joined. I expected more.
Negative experience: One of the worst gym I have seen as of now. Service is very bad and Gym is very boring and no one come in the gym with less crowd,
