Fantastic experience: If you want to actually train your kid and want him to learn jiu-jitsu skills , the only place you should take your kid is Galeb Brothers Jiu-jitsu, Springwood . My son has been training there for over a year now and recently won a gold medal at BJJ Championships in Gold Coast . A huge thanks to the amazing Professors and coaches at BJJ Springwood for teaching my son all these skills !

Fantastic experience: My 5 year old girl and 11 year old boy absolutely love going to jujitsu and will go everyday they can. The Professor Paulo and coach Tom are great with the kids and the kids love them. I would definitely recommend if considering getting your kids to try it out. Great for fitness, strength and confidence but they really learn so much more each lesson, to respect themselves and others and to be helpful etc as the Professor speaks to them about this each lesson.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely awesome gym! Been training at Southside for the last ~6 - 8months or so but fell in love the moment I first entered the place. Super friendly vibes, get to train in a room full of practitioners ranging from absolute killers who compete regularly and super talented hobbyists, to noobs like me and everything in between. Everyone I've rolled/trained with has been respectful, the gym itself is very hygienic and welcoming to new ppl wanting to check it out. The professors and many of the members show real dedication to the gym/members and to their art. I've been in a couple gyms in my life now as I've trained various martial arts over the years and definitely can say Galeb Bros (southside ticks all the boxes. Highly recommend if you want to try BJJ!

With the highly trained and professional instructors your child or children are in great hands. If you’re unsure just give it a try as I’m sure all parents will do their best for their children and Galeb Brothers will do the same.

Fantastic experience: The Galeb Brothers BJJ Southside have created a great space for kids to develop respect, confidence, pride, and discipline, as well as BJJ skills sets. They're professional and knowledgeable, as well fun and entertaining, which creates a strong relationship with the kids and maintains their attention, interest and drive to participate and develop in each session. My son attends 3 days a week and is thriving learning under the guidance and instruction of these guys. Everything from the very beginning was easy and uncomplicated. They provide a free trial class to gauge how your child will enjoy it, and then it's an easy sign up, sign ins at each session, and direct debit payments. This is a great investment in your kid's development. See you there!

Prof Paulo goes above and beyond for his students that’s why we all look up to him. My son has been in this academy for more than two years now and I, just recently. More than the physical growth, attending this academy gives both of us the mental health refresh that is very important in the improvement of total well being. The community is also very supportive, sharing skills and knowledge with each other. No one comes in with their ego which makes it a lot more comfortable to train and learn. We are a family in this academy. Parents of kids and juniors students also are very supportive of each other especially in preparing for and during competitions. The admin, Soana, is not your typical admin. She is a BJJ practitioner as well so she knows what she is talking about. She can help you with BJJ both in and outside the mats. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, making it easy for first time walk-ins to feel comfortable when visiting. The professors and coaches are skilled and well suited to be teaching kids and adults in the variety of classes they have to offer. I’ve really come to appreciate the cleanliness and care of the facility. You can tell the owner cares for his school and students. I highly recommend visiting and training at this location!

My kid wakes up daily and asks if we are going to training. Great training atmosphere with discipline and hard work as a priority. As well as friendly, patient and welcoming coaches and members. Fantastic experience: Coming up on 12 months now since joining the Galeb Southside team. When I started, I had no idea what BJJ was really about, I couldn’t have been more outside of my comfort zone walking into the academy. But after the trial period, I quickly learnt that there wasn’t one person in that place that hadn’t been in my position and probably felt the same way. Fast forward 1 year, I’ve now lost 37kgs and feel the best I’ve ever felt in my life both physically and mentally and I owe that to everybody that’s goes here for helping me along my journey. Fantastic experience: My son (8yrs) has been with the Galeb Brothers at Southside since he was 4 yrs old!! He knows the gym is his safe space. He has formed so many awesome friendships with other kids up to 3 years older then him. I am a huge advocater of bjj for kids mental health. It allows them to harness, express and release the energy in such a unique way. I also started my own bjj journey over a year ago. You dont have to be rough or fast or strong to do bjj. You just have to be open-minded and persistent. But the atmosphere and comradeship at Galeb Brothers Southside is what has kept us there!
