Negative experience: Beware guys !!!! First, they will never tell you you’re signing up for locked in contract for two years unless you realise it by yourself or ask. The cancellation fee is just so huge if at all you get fooled and sign up. I wasn’t sure if i was going to stay committed to the gym for long that’s why i specifically asked for any other memberships available. The guy who was there said it’s fine though i’ll have to pay 20 dollars every week so that i’m not locked in any contract. I was still okay with that and actually never bothered to pay extra. Now i’m trying to cancel and that’s when they tell me apparently i’m locked in for thirty days. How is this fair at all ?
Negative experience: Definitely not a recommended As I been told no cancellation fee and I can cancel any day any time After cancelling my membership I have to give 30 days notice it is just a rip off To mach drama and money wasted
Hi Kumaiel, Our aim is to help and support as many people as possible to achieve their health and fitness goals. One of the ways we support our members is by ensuring we provide and upkeep a welcoming and non intimidating environment for our members to train in. This duty of care also extends to our staff members as well when they come to their place of work. Among many threats, you insisted your membership was cancelled which was processed for you on the day it was requested. You then decided to retract your cancellation after it had already been actioned however due to the manner in which you were communicating with our staff and consistently making demands that are outside our standard operating processes and conditions of membership, we agreed it would be in the best interest of our other members and staff not to continue your membership to avoid risking any further harassment and those type of interactions. Whilst we welcome all feedback, that behaviour is not welcome at Anytime Fitness Girrawheen and is not in line with our commitment to providing a safe, positive and welcoming environment for all. We wish you all the best in your health and fitness journey.

Negative experience: Told i was able to leave the gym anytime when i signed up but when I tried to leave, they made me pay for a month before i could leave. Although i couldn't use the gym for that month.

Negative experience: Disappointing experience here. When I signed up I enquired from the Facebook add advertising 4 weeks free for women to try out their gym. When I went in to meet - due to medical issues I specifically asked if there was a no locked in contract so if I had issues I could easily cancel and not be locked in and have no cancelation fee they informed me yes at a higher cost but I also won't be eligible for the free 4 weeks. Because the location of the gym was good I decided to still sign up. I have now gone to cancel and been told I'm locked in for 30 days. ($80) Staff should be retrained on this as I see from another review members are ill-informed of this and yes I agree I should of stopped and read the contract meticulously but as I specifically asked the question I thought I would not be blatantly lied to. The holes in the roof and no working aircon was the added bonus.
Hi Tia, Zac here. In regards to your membership agreement, all memberships carry a standard 30 day notice period when cancelling. As you’ve mentioned, this is stated in the agreement however if this wasn’t communicated effectively, we apologize and take ownership for this. In regards to the 4 week free promotion, this was eligible across all of our longer term membership options. In terms of the maintenance issues you referred to, the aircons run 24/7 and to our knowledge have never been out of service. If you were uncomfortable when training, we would have appreciated you letting us know at the time so we could have investigated. The damaged ceiling tiles were the result of water ingress during a storm and is the responsibility of the shopping centre to remedy, which we were waiting on for a period of time. Regards, Zac

Fantastic experience: Was told i was headed toward type 2 diabetes by my GP. Joined AF Girrawheen. Was 108 kilo,s now 100. Diabetes gone, muscle mass continuing to grow. Feeling so much better/ fitter, alert! Made some great new friends too!

Positive experience: Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful, the gym has a good variety of equipment. Good location, plenty of parking. Cons: Membership fee is more expensive than most gyms in the surrounding areas ($19.95/pw). Had to pay $69 ( I don't remember the exact amount) for the key (non-refundable). I signed up for the flexi membership (which is more expensive than the normal membership) and thought I could cancel it anytime. Only to found out that they still require 28-days notice, which means I have to pay for 4-week membership (nearly $80) even though I'm no longer using the gym. Not really happy about this but I guess I should have read the contract carefully. Overall rating: 3.8/5

Fantastic experience: This is a club who welcomes you in and members are friendly. Trainers are knowledgeable, they care and they listen to you. The group classes are great for all levels of fitness and can be modified for injuries or ability. When you are missing they call to check on you! All the facilities are top notch and all nestled in a little suburban shopping centre which is also convenient!! Didn’t join a gym until later in life but made to feel a welcome member of the community, very lady friendly too. Great support throughout all the lockdowns !!

Fantastic experience: "Anytime Fitness" The Name Says It All. My life has changed since joining this Gym the staff are fantastic always willing to help giving great advice . Close to home has all the equipment needed for a great workout. Love it! Ample parking never a problem in finding one and a variety of shop to do your shopping or why not grab a coffee to finish of your day. Best of all my new family - Thankyou!

Fantastic experience: a lot of 24 hour gyms get real dirty and are under staffed, but this club is always super-clean, smells good and the staff are very approachable and friendly. One particular thing I like is their cardio equipment which has foxtel and internet running so I can get my cardio done without getting bored! Win!
