Fantastic experience: Best gym in Brisbane, super cleanly and amazing staff.
Negative experience: Pretty disappointed i overheard the staff and some members were putting down other members. Also everytime looked in there was no one was there behind the desk.
Fantastic experience: Awesome gym, 24/7 access has everything you need.
Fantastic experience: Iron gym. Best value for money with the whole $1 a day memberships. Clean & tidy place. Everything a gym needs to be. Maybe showers could be better then the low pressure but still gets you clean . All in all good value and good machines. Cheers

Fantastic experience: Signed up recently, great sized gym and great atmosphere. And for 1$ a day you simply cannot beat it.
Positive experience: First time going today. Staff were really friendly, and the equipment selection is great. Only downside is that they didn't have access cards available at the moment but I'm sure that'll be resolved soon.

Negative experience: Been a member here for 2 years and mostly enjoyed my time, it was good until recently I tried to negotiate the terms of my membership due to work commitments that were out of my control. My request was more than reasonable but management outright refused my request. Needless to say this has left a salty taste in my mouth and as a result I will no longer be renewing my membership once it runs out and will be taking my business to a gym that appreciates it.
Hi Tyson we did try to negotiate with you but unfortunately there is nothing further we can do. You had a $199.00 prepaid for 12 months membership that you signed up for during covid, which was a hell of a deal that you will get at no other gym. Iron Gym only provided this deal to help people during covid. This means, you paid $199.00 for a whole years access -12 months. As you can understand all businesses especially gyms were affected during covid. We thought you would have been more understanding. You tried to put your membership on hold for three months. Unfortunately, Iron Gym policy does not allow us to put prepaid memberships on hold. This is across the board, and can not make exceptions as it would be unfair on others. Please be reasonable and try to understand our position. You’re welcome to take your business elsewhere this policy is similar across most fitness centres.

Fantastic experience: Such a great gym! The owner is really friendly and always so helpful if you ask for anything. Everyone who works behind the desk are always lovely and welcoming. The space is pretty big and there is heaps of equipment which is positioned so well with plenty of room to move. They have really created an awesome culture in the gym! Nearly everyone you walk past (members) smile and say hello to you. The whole place is super clean including the girls bathroom. I literally have nothing to complain about! I’ll be sticking around for a long time

Positive experience: Small but effective staff are always helpful and members are pretty helpful too if needed, just ask and most people are willing. Aside from that not too many equipment hogz. Most people wait till u finish. Decent stock in store too.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been at the gym since the week after it opened. They’re always looking for ways to improve their gym and they have definitely kept expanding over the years. Cleaner is great and the place always feels clean. You can’t compete with the price and they always have deals. It’s central and close to highways / motorways and very accommodating. Recommend the gym !!

Fantastic experience: Pretty unbeatable for the price. Decent range of equipment. 3 x squat cages = winning. Good quality weight plates, good layout and no posers. A few small things: * Lack of 2.5kg plates and no 1.25kg plates (edit: more of these have been ordered since I wrote the review). * A few of the dumbbells need some TLC. Some are a bit bent and have seen better days * Some machine grips need some TLC. Some are shredded/missing. * Squat racks aren't parallel to the wall and would be nice if they bolted down. - No bubbler. You'll need to drink from the faucet in a sink if you forget your water bottle. Have been advised they are in the process of getting one. All in all, a great gym.
Dear Adam, Thank you for your review, we really value the feedback. We have just purchased a whole lot more 5kg, 2kg, 1kg and even 0.5kg plates. You should see them on the gym floor, with a few more extra goodies and more on the way. We have also looked into a complete new set of dumbbells from 0-100kgs. These take time, but we are doing the best we can. We hadn’t noticed the squat racks, these will be adjusted to make sure they are parallel to the wall. We have ordered machine grips, these will all be replaced. We will also install a bubbler next to the faucet to make it easier to drink for those who forget their bottle. There are some more cool changes coming to Iron Gym so watch this space and keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: Iron Gym QLD is that gym that you go to when you want a serious place to work out. It’s a place where you can go and get a killer workout done and not have to wait ages for a free bench/machine or because equipment is broken. All the equipment is highly maintained and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and always on hand to answer any questions or give advice. They have free classes regularly and I’ve spent more money than I should have at their yummy protein cafe. I’d definitely recommend them and the gym fees are ridiculously cheap

Hi Caine, Sorry to hear about your experience! We are a little confused with your review as we have ceiling fans and air conditioning at Iron Gym Browns Plains. To be honest the majority of our members opt to train in jumpers and even request the aircon to be switched off for more intense workout experience to achieve greater results!! Also at Iron Gym Browns Plains we have more life fitness and hammer strength equipment per square metre than any other gym. Our gyms are designed by specialised Life Fitness experts and we are constantly updating all our facilities. We were obviously not a good match for each other, We nevertheless wish you all the best in your fitness journey!
