Fantastic experience: Our daughter has been doing the Mini Samurai program for six months now. Her confidence has substantially improved in that time. Shihan Steve and Sensei Mel have created a supportive, safe environment for people to improve themselves and learn martial arts. I highly recommend this as a place for anyone of any age or ability.

Fantastic experience: Amazing karate! My kids have been learning here for 4 years now and absolutely love it. I took up karate 12 months ago to keep up with them - I’m 9kgs lighter, a whole lot fitter and have made so many new friends. The team are so encouraging and friendly and the mix of men and women is 50/50 in most classes. From black belts to white belts everyone helps each other. Enrol the kids, enrol yourself - you won’t regret it!

The kid and teen leaders are quite inspiring with strong character, discipline, commitment, it’s so wonderful to have these kids mentoring the younger generations. Fantastic experience: Our introduction to Kyodo Shuho Karate-Do was through a friend at her daughter’s karate themed birthday party just over a year ago...from that day forward my son was HOOKED! I wasn't sure how my little energiser bunny was going to go in a structured environment but Kyodo Shuhos Tough Tiger classes are the perfect combination of both physical and mental discipline, structure but also fun! The sense of community is so wonderful and my son felt quickly at home at the dojo. He has competed in tournaments and has channelled his energy into the healthy outlet that is Karate. A special mention to Sensi Jazzy and Sempai João for their unmatchable energy, support, guidance and constant inspiration to the seitos in the dojo. We are forever grateful for what this experience has provided to my son ❤️

Fantastic experience: Kyodo Shuho Karate Academy is just amazing. I could repeat, amazing over and over. I am absolutely delighted on my two children's confidence and ability to learn and thrive in the dojo and those skills that they have taken outside into their every day. The Sensei's are wonderful, passionate and demonstrate an amazing level of leadership. We are relocating and I am devastated that we will have to part ways with Kyodo Shuho. I recommend it to absolutely every family. You will not be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: Extremely happy with this place. Super professionals and all sessions are run in an orderly manner. They are supportive with little ones who are struggling letting go of mum and dad and make them love the end of each session. Fantastic experience: We enrolled our 3 year old son into the Mini Samurai class at KSK at the beginning of term. It was one of the best decisions we have made for him! He likes it so much that when we go back into the car, he wants to do another class! He has grown more confident and sure of himself, even his daycare have commented on how he has come out of his shell the past few weeks. I couldn’t let my son have all the fun, and I enrolled myself into the adult classes. Everyone at the Dojo is so patient, kind, funny and happy to help if I get stuck. I love attending training and look forward to it every week. If you’re an adult who has never done Martial Arts before, I highly recommend it - because the only barrier between doing something new is yourself - so just give it a go! We highly recommend this Dojo!

Fantastic experience: We been looking for awhile now for a class that my three year old would love! Most classes for three year olds around our area need adults to participate, where’s Kyodo is all child focus. Teachers teach such great safety procedures and also most of all the kids have fun! My son looks forward to all classes, thank you guys! You are all awesome!!

Fantastic experience: A big shout out to all the staff at Kyodo Shuho Karate who have been incredible in making my 5 yo ASD boy feel belonged as part of the group and welcomed during every session. This is his 6th class so far and he has shown a huge progress since his first lesson. Most importantly, he is enjoying and is asking to go to the classes. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this Karate class because my kids just love it. Every session has different topics and it’s so much fun to exercise and play with lovely couches and other kids. The price is very nice as well. The administration team is very nice and responsible. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My five-year-old son has been going to karate for around 2 months now. Everything about the experience so far has been positive. Even from his first few weeks of shyness and how he was supported to participate with both a firmness and accommodation, he loves attending each week and gets such a buzz from the activities. Sensei Jaz is amazing with the kids, with a perfect balance mixing energy, firm discipline, support and fun. Came highly recommended to me and Kyodo Shuho has certainly delivered on that recommendation.

Fantastic experience: We've had kids going here for about a month now and are very impressed. The kids love it, the classes are well run and I love that while parents are not allowed to watch the class, they have it live streamed to big tvs in a comfortable waiting room. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful and there's plenty of them helping to teach the classes as well. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My 3 year old is taking karate lessons over there and the staff is just amazing! They are perfect with the kids, making the whole experience engaging and really fun. I would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My 6 year old son started here a couple of months ago, and I have to say it is the best decision we have made for him. This place is wonderful and I can't say enough good things about the staff. They are so invested in each child's learning and progress. My guy is not the best listener, but they are patient and teach him how to be more respectful. If you are looking for an amazing activity for your child, this is the place to enrol them. Oh, and the Parents Night Out that they hold every couple of months on Saturday nights is THE BEST!!

Fantastic experience: My son attends the Saturday morning class and loves it. The Sensei's are amazing they get all the kids listening and involved. The parents waiting room with TVs is great, you can still watch the karate action without distracting the kids in the lesson. Overall the lesson are fresh and fun each week and we'll delivered to the kids

Fantastic experience: I was a weedy kid who always wanted to do a martial art, and never had the guts to try. A couple months ago, as an adult I signed up to Kyodo Shuho and it’s been everything I hoped for. Sensei Steve and his team are supportive, personable and professional, crafting training regimes and curriculums for each student. I appreciate the zest the team puts in to each training session, and their good humour with the inevitable mistakes that I make as a novice white belt. More broadly, it’s great to be surrounded by a community of fellow adult students, with a variety of abilities, each trying to do their best while helping more junior students. I usually train three times a week; some train more often, others less so - everyone is welcome. Thanks to my teachers and my fellow students for a great time. See you at training!

Fantastic experience: After 3 months training with Kyodo Shuho, I can thoroughly recommend this dojo. I am in my early 40s and my focus is very much on fitness and wellbeing, with my number one priority being the avoidance/prevention of injuries. The team at KSK provide an excellent, safe and respectful (both teacher to student, and student to teacher) learning environment. It's got the strict discipline and structure I want and expect from a dojo, while recognising that (particularly those of us with a few more years under our belts!) don't want to exacerbate old injuries by being pushed to do things our bodies simply can't do. And overall, the facilities are top notch and the vibe/culture of the place is exactly what I was looking for - disciplined and focused on self-development and excellence without aggression or ego.

Fantastic experience: What can I say ? Since we started our kids have been made to feel so welcome. From the moment they step in the door, they are greeted with smiles. All the staff are very friendly and they foster a great environment for caring about yourself and each other. Both our kids are learning respect and discipline in an environment that they feel safe in.

Fantastic experience: I have recently started with my 3 y/o who has proven to be a handful at many other activities and he has taken to Kyodo like a duck to water. The team are all very inviting, allowing parents of new students to be with them until they are comfortable to be on their own, which doesn't seem to take long for any of the new children. The classes cover lots of activities appropriately focussed on defensive techniques. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Easily the best martial arts school I've ever trained with. The instructors are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. We train in a permanent dojo that provides a safe and comfortable space for all practitioners. My wife and I train together with our daughter and we have made many lifelong friends along the way. I cannot recommend Kyodo Shuho Karate Do in Fyshwick enough. You won't find a better martial arts club!

Fantastic experience: This club is great for all ages and caters from beginners to the advance. It is a friendly safe dojo where students are taught karate but self defence which boosts self confidence, concentration and self discipline. The dojo is wonderful complete with mats, mirrors and kick bags. This club is worth checking out!!!!
