Negative experience: Great gym. Great staff. Great equipment. 1-star for the heinous music. Idc about franchise agreements, something has to be done to get rid of this music. 99% of members do their best to avoid it with their earphones/headphones. But it's very tedious to have to drown out the whining of the rubbish head office makes them play.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of plus fitness maroubra for about 2 years now,it’s my happy place.Great and friendly atmosphere atmosphere ,new equipment.The thing that keeps me coming back are the staff,I honestly have never met a nicer bunch of people,from the staff and PTs to the fabulous smoking hot cleaner.They have become family and if it wasn’t for them I would have left the gym a long time ago. They will always go out of their way to help out and do whatever it takes to get the job done.Thank You plus fitness for not giving up on me

Negative experience: Good facilities and 24/7 that's good. But the service I had was far from good. Even when I tried to cancel my subscription (because I moved house) they didn't help me at all and I ended up paying extra 8 months of subscription. Really disappointing how they try to make profit. I wouldn't recommend it

Fantastic experience: Can't fault it.Always clean,never crowded and plenty of parking just outside the door.Plenty of weight and the equipment is all well maintained

Positive experience: There's often a lot of school kids with their bags all over the floor. Hygiene is not the best. No one cleans the equipments after them, toilets are not the cleanest. Other than that, central location, all right internal size. There's no bin on one end of the gym so you have to go all the way to the entry area to chuck something. And there's a really pointy pieve of metal sticking out where the foot pedal supposed to be for the bin.

Positive experience: Great gym but they should increase the volume of the sound, is so creepy at night that I hear the breath of everyone...

Positive experience: The staff need to show slight more interest in members. There is no towels or hygiene monitoring by staff. The staff should come out and check the floor from time to time but I hardly see anyone walking around monitoring the gym during staffed hours.

Fantastic experience: Have been a member since moving into the area mid last year. The owner Chris, is friendly and approachable. The PT - Ryen, Admin - Jasmine & Roxy are nice too. Its a shame to read about how rude other people’s experience were, thankfully there must have been a change in staff before I signed up. Overall, cool vibes at the gym, I regularly use the corner stretching area with a group of mates to do circuit work. All of the other regulars are easy to get along with too. I’ve made a few referrals to sign up to the gym, because the atmosphere is great. No posers, get a good mixture of ppl just doing their thing. What started off as just my friend and I had since grown into a group of 8 of us, whom are regulars. If ur a member and would like to join our little training group, pls feel free to join us. Come say hi! We wouldn’t be able to do this if the culture within the gym set by their current staff and members wasn’t a positive one.

Fantastic experience: Others have posted about rude staff (possibly male) but I've joined recently and there's only really a female staff member who is absolutely lovely. Great prices, no contract, hidden away and not busy. Lots of machines though not all the ones you may be looking for. Low ceiling height might be a problem depending on where you do pull ups

Negative experience: Staff were something else, me and my friend went here a couple of weeks ago and were appalled at how rude the staff were it was laughable!!! We checked the reviews of this place to see if anyone else has complained about the staffing issue and funnily enough every second review is addressing the fact that the staff is so rude... they obviously don’t read the reviews because nothing has changed!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: The gym staff member at Maroubra Plus Fitness was atrociously rude and arrogant, no customer service skills, a colleague of mine she had the same experience the staff spoke to her rudely. I suggest don’t go to this gym and go elsewhere, members are treated like peasants and spoken to rudely, no damn respect whatsoever

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! My training partner and I have frequented 5 gyms in Maroubra (as a member and as a free trial). IMO this is the best in the Maroubra area! Maroubra's best kept secret! I feel that I have a lot of experience to give a honest review. I have been a member of 6 gyms in my life (in various places in Sydney and Wollongong). One was a "he -man" gym, 3 were "glam" gyms and 2 were university gyms, one was a 24 hour gym. I have also trialed 2 other local gyms. I have been going to the gym for 17 years. At one stage I would work out for 3 to 4 hours a night ( did this for 7 years). This gym is the best in the local area. Here are the best features: - very spacious (knocked my head hard on a bar at another gym in pacific square - no problem this gym) - nice smooth pin loaded weights - feels like a 'real' gym - great variety of equipment - has a unique fitness room where you can choose to go a wide variety of classes ( on your own with the door closed - no one interrupts) - staff are super helpful and friendly (unlike a gym in pacific square) - staff ensure that everyone feels comfortable being there. A staff member intervened when a man was extremely rude to my training partner and I. - Always open! - feel safe training at 10.30 at night because you need to swipe your security card at 3 different sections to get in if it's late. Everyone at night seems very courteous and they are usually about 5 other people training that late. - it's a bargain for such a good gym!

Negative experience: I too have taken my son out of this gym and all due to atrocious behaviour from one of the staff there. He was probably one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with, who has ZERO customer service skills. He alone would be responsible for no one wanting to go there. Im truly gobsmacked at what transpired from 1 simple phone call. Bizarre, Rude Behaviour!

Negative experience: Unhealthy place for fitness lovers, The staff has no etiquettes how to talk to clients. If you think you are the boss and we are slaves working at your gym, than i think for you its time to wake up. Membership cancelled a while ago just forgot to aware others.

Negative experience: I would have been happy to leave a good review as this facility is clean and has decent equipment, but the customer service is some of the worst I've ever had. One of the male staff members spoke to me very aggressively which is an intimidating experience for a female customer. When I complained, the receptionist Gerard tried to justify his inappropriate behaviour. I'm so unimpressed, I've cancelled my membership.

Fantastic experience: very clean facility, and rather spacious. hardly ever a wait for equipment but it does get busy in the arvos. quite a variety of assisted weights which is very handy for girls especially.

Negative experience: I went in to enquire about memberships. The lady told me the price per week but was obviously uninterested in showing me the facilities or singing up a new member. Sadly that's the first thing people are exposed to when they're entering a new premises, doesn't reflect too well on the business.

Positive experience: Clean well maintained friendly staff great atmosphere

Positive experience: A great 24/7 gym. They keep the equipment in good condition and will get it replaced or fixed if it's broken. There is a private room for virtual classes which is nice if you want to stretch our so a class in private, but the air con is still broken in that room. Three toilet/shower rooms, vending machines for gym snacks or towel/drink bottle. Have never really had to wait for a machine. Been going for 6 week now.

Positive experience: The new place is smaller than the old one. I liked the old place which was one of the bug and spacious gyms in Sydney.

Negative experience: Poor customer service, rude staff.
