Negative experience: Absolutely horrendous customer service from Mel. I requested to quit the gym on the 28th November last year and my request was denied due to still being under contract. I was then offered a termination cost of 50% of the remaining repayments, which i agreed to. She then reneged on the promise for some reason. When i called her out on it she decided to stop writing back to my emails. The email chain went on for a couple of weeks and now its the start of a new year and i still havent had my membership cancelled! I had stated in my email numerous times that im unhappy with how things were going and wasnt sure my complaints were being heard. Its like talking to a brick wall.. Unfortunately this whole experience has made me never want to return to an Anytime Fitness again but i will have to keep paying them each week because im not allowed to quit. Mel you'd get negative stars if it was possible. Traci, you rock. Mel, not so much. Update: 13th Jan I have not had any confirmation of membership cancellation. It has been nearly 8 weeks since i have requested to cancel and they have not actioned it yet. Update: 28th Jan 2 months after my request to cancel. Still no cancellation. Only received 1 brief email response and no outcome. ACCC are now involved but i doubt AF will care since they dont even care for their members. Anyone looking to sign up to this gym needs to be warned about the lack of customer service skills, acknowledgement and just general concerns for their customers.

Negative experience: Rude and unhelpful staff. If i could give it zero stars i would have.

Negative experience: Although the gym is nice. It’s an absolute ridiculous fight and extremely poor communication to cancel a membership. I am giving the notice, and I am willing to pay it out, so cancel my damn member ship and stop leeching money off me.

Fantastic experience: This has to be by far the best Anytime Fitness gym I have been to! I house sit up and down the east coast and have been to many and this has been my favourite. Not only is the space itself great but the equipment is new and in great condition and the place is extremely clean! The staff do an amazing job at keeping everything look great! Not only is there ample equipment for all types of workouts but they’ve made great use of the space in terms of where all the equipment is! Thanks for having me!

Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness Rutherford is fantastic! The staff are incredibly friendly, and the gym is equipped with everything you need for a great time. The space is amazing – it makes exercising so much fun and lets you hit your goals. Plus, the gym is open 24/7, which is super convenient. Highly recommend checking it out!

Negative experience: Trying to cancel your membership with this establishment is ridiculous. Sent an email on 19th December to give my 30 days notice. Followed up multiple times via email only to get the “my area manager call you” response. WHAT FOR. Just cancel my account like I asked, I gave you 30 days! I’ll never be joining anytime ever again. No doubt I’ll get a passive aggressive response from the area manager as seen in her responses below.

Negative experience: Good while you are a member, but once you cancel they still debit your account for the next 30 days even if you have payed your membership out in advance. Read the fine print before signing your contract.

Fantastic experience: One of the best branches in Maitland. I train at another and well.... its good to see music video clips and extreme sports on the TV's instead of depressing news and decent music! It's also amazing what you can do with such a small space by placing equipment strategically

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to this particular Anytime Fitness as I usually visit another Anytime regularly but on this occasion I was in the area and decided to come in for a work out. I train 'Calisthenics' (Body weight training). First impressions of this gym was that it was clean, tidy and not overly busy (was during afternoon peak hour). I was able to get around the gym easily and use many of the optional bars (monkey bars / pull up bars etc) and other equipment without any delays or issues and until my heart was content. The atmosphere in there was calm and not stuffy at all which made for a great work out! When I finished my workout, I was greeted by two very friendly staff members complementing me on my workout (Thank you!). This came at some surprise to me and was so nice to receive. I also had two members of the club also come up and say nice comments to me as they found my workout to be very entertaining to them, which the whole calisthenics thing can be but it was nice to know that I put smiles on some faces and maybe inspired them ☺ This go's to show what nice people the staff and the members I met today are! I left this gym feeling great from both the experience I had of using the equipment and that of the super friendly, confident staff and their members! Five stars for you AF Rutherford staff and members I can't wait to come back sometime, as I was left feeling so welcomed. I would not hesitate to recommend this gym. Negative experience: DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM. I was bullied by 3 members. Told management. Nothing was done. A week later 1 of the perpetrators was given 'member of the month'. Great showcase of morals and standards. Also, gym was always in a disgusting state. Never clean.

Fantastic experience: Spacious.. New... Clean... Renovated Gym!!! Love the new layout.. plenty of space for everyone to find their groove!!! No waiting for equipment... Highly recommend the fresh, new look and feel of Anytime Fitness Rutherford!!!

Negative experience: No staff to assist you and not very clean on the day of gym closure I asked if direct debits would be stopped I got no answer only would be informed by staff still waiting
