Fantastic experience: Good equipment, clean facilities and have many classes. Reasonable price

Positive experience: Ok gym, fairly priced for what you get, clean and variety of equipment, though sterile atmosphere and staff. What gets me is the extra cost for trivial things, $1 for towel hire, 30c for a hair tie. Won’t be forgetting these again. Would like it more if group class timetable had more classes during the day.

Negative experience: The female Asian staff with glasses was extremely rude and lazy. I noticed it not only happened to myself. Every time she saw members asking for locker she seems annoyed. She threw the keys to me more than 3 times instead of handling that. I don’t feel welcome at all and ruin my day every time she is working at the reception. I am not sure who force her to work there. This happens every time so I believe it is her personality which is not suitable to work at reception. The gym was amazing, all other staff are nice. It this female staff ruins everything especially the reputation of the gym.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this gym and have been a member for nearly three years now, from the equipments, good staff members and the cleanliness of the gym is what i am expecting at the beginning. Currently, I am very dedicated to my weight loss journey through diet and exercise. Last week, I measured my body composition and, unfortunately, I discovered that I lost almost a kilo of muscle mass, which made me quite worried. I found myself wondering what went wrong. However, I am incredibly grateful to Brian, who is very professional in his role. Thank you for the clear communication and excellent advice, and for ensuring that I feel okay and that I’m making progress. I really needed to hear that, especially since I was feeling a bit anxious, haha. I also appreciate the fantastic program you provided for me to follow. I am so happy with the service! Thank you, Brian, and to the entire team, they are all very caring and accomodating.

Negative experience: Operation of the club is archaic and backwards. Paying member of the club and gym facilities for 5+ years now and they are still operating in silo. I forget my membership card, the gym won’t let me in without going to the front desk for a cardboard with my name handwritten on it. I come with my digital card, the gym won’t let me use their locker without going to the front desk for a cardboard with my name handwritten on it. Does the gym not have a system that can identify me? Do the workers only choose when they want to enter my name into the computer system when they feel like it? I just want a seamless experience with the gym. Double handling the work between the front desk and the gym desk isn’t it.

Positive experience: Female only section is a great idea, but poorly executed. The signage isn’t super obvious and men enter constantly. Further, it’s not even adequately sectioned off. Men should not be able to see in to a female only section, otherwise what’s the point? The women’s area could also be improved by adding a mirror in the squat rack section (or rearranging equipment so that the rack is in front of the mirror). A mirror would make checking form for that exercise safer and easier. Also equipment such as hamstring extension should be in the women’s area for obvious reasons..

Positive experience: Good clean gym inside the Revesby Workers Club. You do need to be a member of the club to join the gym so small added cost. Large cardio area, machines and free weights. Has 3-4 squat racks.

Fantastic experience: It was a real surprise to me. I had an individual assessment and following that I had a personal targeted training plan done and all set on the app. I can go as many times as I like each week for the same cost as the one yoga class a week I was doing elsewhere. So far, great value. There's lots of different classes available too.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Management always doing their best to make improvements and satisfy members. I would definitely recommend Health Mates.

Fantastic experience: I'm a new member and I would definitely recommend Health Mates! I really love that they have a female only weight area and that the sauna's are separate, just makes me feel more comfortable participating. All the team I've met are very friendly and welcoming :)

Negative experience: If you have a medical condition like high blood pressure, they force you to get medical clearance before joining. If you engage in other physical activities such as touch football or indoor soccer. none of these organisations make you get a medical clearance before starting. health mates do

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Well equipped. Friendly staff

Fantastic experience: Health mates is the best gym I've ever been to. There's a wide variety of equipment, a generally friendly clientele, and membership includes programming which is great. Staff will form check you and teach you how to lift safely without paying more than just your basic membership. There are a wide selection of weight belts to borrow, and even a curtained off women's only section if that's your thing. Costing $18/week, it is a tad pricy, but you do get what you pay for.

Negative experience: Inconsiderate staff. Keep changing class timetables without consulting members. This gym is part of the workers club which is a community focused organisation. But gym management is not community focused at all.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, friendly staff, up-to-date equipment, good size, enough cardio equipment available, modern change rooms plenty of showers, good operating hours, it's inside the Revesby Workers Club so the cost is reasonable all in all a great gym never really too crowded either
