Negative experience: DO NOT BE FOOLED MAJORITY OF TOP REVIEWS ARE BY MEMBERS OF STAFF (Meghan, other front of staff and the pts) Very dirty facility, I frequently see live cockroaches crawling when I train at night, especially near the water bubbler, and wayyy to busy to have a productive workout the large majority of the time. The bathroom is poorly kept, and there is no effort to help members reclaim lost items, theres no proper lost property, and if you accidentally leave something one day it's gone the next, I've never seen such a lack of community and respect within a gym with such rampant stealing from fellow members. 10/10 would NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM, nor will I renew my membership, unless they do a 360 in management.

Negative experience: READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING JOINING THIS GYM I’ve been a member for almost 2 years now and its state has almost driven me to the point of leaving - overcrowded except for past 9pm - poorly maintained equipment (uneven leg presses, uneven pec-deck machine which even had bits of raw metal which sliced opened a members hand) machiens out of order for months at a time - no action dealt against hostile members - rude front of staff Due to purely greed they are promoting more people to join even though the gym reached capacity many months ago, eroding the quality of the facility for existing members and providing a poor experience for new members believing they have joined a “premium gym”

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed in the customer service. Although it’s a nice gym, they have no compassion or leniency for a cancellation to the membership due to a sudden family death, forcing me to have to leave Aus asap and go home. I understand it is an agreement I signed but this was out of my control and they were very rigid and not understanding of the situation.

Fantastic experience: World class facilities and incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff in particular Nicole and my coach Liam who I highly recommend. The gym has a real community feel to it unlike most of the other gyms. The only thing that could make it better was if they had in-house saunas and ice baths although they have partnered up with another company in the Entertainment which provides a discount to members to offset that.

Negative experience: While the gym equipment at World Gym Moore Park is great, the overall cleanliness is appalling. There are balls of dust and even dead cockroaches in the corners, and the toilets are absolutely disgusting. The customer service is also incredibly frustrating. The staff is quick and attentive when you’re signing up for a membership, but they’re nowhere to be found when you have an issue to resolve. I recently reached out to gather information about canceling my membership next year, as I’m planning to move. To my surprise, they canceled my membership immediately and sent me an email confirming that my membership was canceled with no further payments to be made. This was strange since I had only inquired about the process, not requested an immediate cancellation. When I went in for my usual workout, the tap light turned red instead of green, and two front-desk staff confirmed my membership had been canceled. I waited until Monday, the usual payment day, to check if they charged my account, but they didn’t. Assuming everything was resolved, I joined another gym. However, the day after, I received an email responding to my original inquiry about cancellation as if nothing had happened. I explained the situation, including that I had already joined another gym, but I received no reply. To make matters worse, they started charging my account again. After that, I received a second email confirming my membership was canceled and that there were no pending payments, but the charges continued. Despite sending another email, I’ve had no response from them. The hassle and poor communication are simply not worth it. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

Negative experience: I am disgusted at the way this gym treats their PT's. never going back.

Negative experience: I'm French, and I don't speak English very well. When I registered, I told them that I did not want to commit because I would not be there for a full year. Despite my request, I was voluntarily made to sign papers while understanding that I did not have good knowledge of them. I was also told that I had 30 days to cancel the contract and withdraw if I didn't like it. After two weeks, I realized that I would not have the time to train and I wanted to terminate this contract. I learned that I had been made to sign a 12-month commitment, even though I was formally registered, and that to cancel it, I had to pay $250 plus a $100 entry fee. I lost $400 on this gym, not to mention weekly payments. I strongly advise against it, and I will not fail to talk about my experience around me in Sydney

Negative experience: Update to owner: thank you for confirming my decision to lodge a complaint to have your staff’s first aid training audited with your incredibly ableist and passive aggressive response. Might be worthwhile checking your emails for my attempts to contact you? Or if this is not Cate then providing an alternative email for me to forward everything too This gym through me outside when I fell ill inside the premises to avoid lability and failed to render any sufficient first aid or ensure I was safe and well. Total breach of duty of care and have not seen this type of behaviour at any other gym before

Negative experience: I requested the cancellation of my membership, the last charge would be on 08/08/24. On 15/08/24 they charged me the weekly fee again. A total disregard, I definitely do not recommend this gym. I hope you return my money as soon as possible so that I don't sue you. William

Negative experience: Last night, my friend and I were rudely kicked out of the World Gym Moore Park location. A male staff member was extremely rude and used profane language, completely destroying any remaining positive impression I had of World Gym. My experiences at Virgin and Crunch gyms have been far superior to World Gym. Let me first share my thoughts about World Gym, and then I will explain why we were kicked out of the Moore Park location. Due to my new job in Greenacre, I signed up for a three-month membership at World Gym Chullora. I had previously been a member at Virgin Gym for over a year, so the American-style gym was a new experience for me. When signing up, I asked if I could visit other World Gym locations, as there is one near my home in Moore Park. The staff gave me a 10-visit paper pass card, which could be stamped each time I visited any World Gym location. I was thrilled and invited my colleague, who lives near Chullora, to join me. He joined World Gym with me but doesn't visit other gyms, so he gave me his pass card. For the first couple of months, we worked out at the Chullora location, but I noticed a few differences compared to Virgin. First, people rarely return equipment after use, making it hard to find specific weights. Second, the dumbbells ranging from 10kg to 25kg often have only three sets each, which are frequently used by many, making it difficult to find the right weights, especially when doing progressive weight training. In contrast, the heavier dumbbells are rarely used. Third, the equipment is diverse but often damaged, likely due to heavy usage. Despite these issues, the people at Chullora are friendly and willing to help with workout advice, which I consider a strength of World Gym. Now, let me explain what happened. Most of the time, I worked out at Chullora. When I first visited the Moore Park location, the staff politely refused entry because my paper pass card was not in their system. I explained that I had been a member for over a month and was told I could use the pass at any World Gym location. They eventually allowed me to work out, and I found the layout similar to Chullora but better organized. The next day, I informed the Chullora staff about the situation and asked them to update my information so I wouldn’t have issues at Moore Park again. They found it surprising and assured me that the Moore Park staff were just unfamiliar with the pass. They updated my information and advised me to have Moore Park call Chullora if any issues arose. During my second visit to Moore Park last night, I invited a friend from Virgin Gym to try out World Gym with me. He used my colleague’s pass card to enter. While his card was quickly stamped, I faced issues again. The staff explained that my pay-up-front plan didn’t allow the use of the pass, and they intended to confiscate my pass card. I was unwilling to give it up, explaining that I was unaware of such restrictions and suggesting they contact Chullora. A male staff member, seemingly a manager, rudely dismissed my request, calling Chullora staff unprofessional and insisting we leave after this visit. As I showed my friend around, another staff member called him away and rudely told us to leave. The short staff member then approached us, telling us to "get out" and never return, claiming my friend used someone else’s pass card. I explained that the 10-visit pass card was a member benefit that could be shared, but he continued to insult us. I told him I was a World Gym customer, and he said I wasn’t his customer as I hadn’t paid him directly, telling me to go back to Chullora. My friend was frightened, and given that English isn’t our first language, we were both taken aback. I can only say that World Gym Moore Park is terrible.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best gym in Sydney and far superior to any gym in the Eastern Suburbs. This place has it all. World class equipment, excellent and very well kept facilities, super friendly management and staff as well as a great training atmosphere. I came from Fitness First Platinum and the quality between FF and World Gym Moore Park is not even comparable - best (and easiest) decision I made was to switch over to WG Moore Park.

Fantastic experience: I had been a member of Fitness First for 20 odd years and made the switch to World Gym 2 weeks ago after been disappointed with the poor quality of the equipment Fitness First had to offer. This gym is hands down the best in Sydney. The layout, the quality of the machines, the cleanliness, the owner greets you when you walk in! Come and check it out, you wont be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: It is an excellent, huge and clean gym! I always wanted a great gym before, and it happened. Finally! The staff is friendly, people look amazing! It has such great equipment, and it is a pleasure to work out in this gym. It's such a convenient place! Sometimes parking is inconvenient, and we only have two hours in the parking lot at EQ. Anyway, it is good to know that if you go to the gym after hours, it provides two free hours, like in the middle of the day. (Parking charges if you went there around 5 pm and after.). Thank you, World Gym, for such a generous offer.

Negative experience: worst gym service I've ever seen in my life. They have canelled my memership just because I started going to another World Gym branch, I always paid on time, never missed a payment. When I asked them why they have cancelled my membership I was ignored and met with complete unhelpfulness. and when I left a review for them I was met with a very rude reply from them. You deserve 0 stars for that kind of service. it's a shame because I enjoyed going to this gym.

Fantastic experience: This gym is unbelievable. I've been to a few gyms in Sydney's eastern suburbs and nothing compares. The equipment quality and variety, environment (full of genuinely fit and motivated members), great staff and ease of parking at the Entertainment Quarter. Being a 24hr gym (that is not the size of a shoe box) also helps so much for my busy work schedule. Great great gym.

Fantastic experience: Great gym! Equipment is new and in good condition. So many different machines, particularly for glute exercises. Clean, bright and spacious. Good vibe, good music, inspirational quotes on the walls. Water from the fountains are cold. Changing rooms are nice, bit of a funny smell the day I went but all in all good lighting and everything you need.

The marketing team did good job to get me interested, the reception just disappointed me within 1 min of walking into the gym. The receptionists asked me to pay to experience a gym. This is ridiculous. Happened at Nov 18th 2:20pm. Cool, detour back to my current gym.

Fantastic experience: In Sydney working for just over a month and missing my gym at home in Melbourne… my buddy who is a member here suggested I take a look as it’s a stones throw from work … it ticked all of my boxes !! This is not a nambie pambie fitness first or anytime .. this is a real body builders gym with all the trimmings. Separate areas depending on what sessions you’re on legs upper cardio etc etc. Lots of new and varied machines. The only thing it needs is are more cables…. But come at a quiet time and you’ll have no worries getting your program done.

Negative experience: If you don't like having tripods and cameras in your space whilst training this place isn't for you. Great equipment but more of an influencers gym. Adding to your review in response. No I don't agree with what you're saying, most of the people that go are annoying influencers who don't influence me. Also, men with thuggish behaviour - no one cares what you look like when you go to the gym. Tripods and filming yourself in the view of other people should be banned completely and is extremely intrusive - do your reps and move on. The water fountain was broken for like 3-4 weeks and the hygiene we towels were always empty, staff seem to be more concerned about their own socials.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this gym for those who take their training seriously - very thoughtfully laid out in muscle group sections and never feels overcrowded due to the size and selection of machines and areas to train. Easily the best equipped gym I've ever been too. They are constantly adding more equipment and receptive to member requests and recommendations. The staff are awesome and put in a genuine effort to greet, engage and get to know the members.

Negative experience: Reception was not welcoming, the causal visit fee was ridiculous. Not enough bench press, the music was boring/bad. Some unique equipment but lacked the basics. Only 2 hour free parking, an expensive trip to a mediocre gym. The vibe at the gym was something I’d expect at a massage salon, much like a commercial gym. The only thing good about Moore park world gym was the bathrooms. Moore park world gym should take a leaf out of northern beaches book.

Negative experience: Tried calling half a dozen times over the last few weeks - the mobile number rings out, and the number on their website is seemingly disconnected/was never connected in the first place. Apparently the staff know this, just haven't got around to fixing. Don't rely on Google Maps to find it, the specific address there is wrong too. Fitness Passport is accepted, but unlike the CBD World Gym you need to pay for an access pass even if you only want to use the gym during staffed hours. Costs $79. Single entry costs $25 (!!). No trial available. Gym looks great, but was an incredibly frustrating experience to find out information that should be readily available online (you shouldn't have to arrive in person to find out how much something costs). Hope this helps anyone else who can't get through via phone.

Positive experience: Fantastic huge gym with great equipment and staff, unfortunately far too many people with tripods and DSLR cameras getting in the way of people that just want to train, it's getting dangerous, people leaving tripods in walkways and in front of doors
