Fantastic experience: Joined this gym over a year ago. It’s been absolutely fabulous. The team are amazing and so helpful. There is a great variety of equipment and it is well maintained and suits all different fitness levels. There is a real friendly vibe here and it is a great place to meet different people and socialise as well as reaching your fitness goals. Would definitely recommend making use of personal training to help get started. Aaron has helped me achieve so many fitness goals over the last year. Thanks guys.

Fantastic experience: I’ve only been attending good life for a few months but I find the staff, facilities and equipment top notch. Everyone is always happy to help/answer questions. Highly recommend. Does get busy at times but this is more reflective of the quality of the gym and personnel.

Negative experience: Honestly feels like a scam. They have lied multiple times and no one seems to talk to each other and hold themselves accountable. They lied about the lock in contract which I specifically asked not to be in and they told me I could leave any time at no cost, Several times I asked before signing. They told me there was a deal going on and the sign up would be free, I said I wanted to pay for the $80 sign up cost so I wouldn’t be in a lock in contract and again they reassured me it was a deal and I wouldn’t be in a lock in contract. 6-8 months later I tried to leave and they wanted me to pay out my contract. They told me I was locked into a full 12 months, I told them I triple checked and asked for a non lock in contract, but the people who signed me up no longer worked for the company and there was nothing they could do. As an apology they said the next 8 weeks are free and hopefully I’ll come back. This 8 weeks pushed my 12 months back and after the 8 weeks I continued to pay for the membership until the completion of the contract. After I had completed my contract I went down and asked if I could cancel my membership, again they offered 8 weeks. I said I’ll think about it for a week otherwise I’ll come down and cancel in person. Which is exactly what I did. They said I was no longer on a contract and I could leave as long as I pay off the remaining fortnightly balance for the fortnight that was currently active. I said no problem and handed in all my access cards and paid the bill. 3 weeks later they started billing me again and saying I was still locked into a contract which was meant to be finished months ago. The company is either terribly ran or they are profiting by lying and scamming their customers. They make it so hard to cancel your membership and refuse to right their wrongs when their employees lie multiple times.

Negative experience: The care factor just isn’t there. We’ve been admin for some kneeling pads, platform boards and some more rolling/stretch balls for over a year. Showers smell foul and they blame the centre. So unless you’re after their PT’s they don’t care.

Fantastic experience: I joined Goodlife gym with my wife over a year ago and we both have really enjoyed it. My wife does body pump, free weights and running machine which she loves. Myself I use running machine and also use all the wonderful gym equipment. The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. We both do lot of travelling and the manager has been extremely helpful in understanding our needs. We are both over 70 and health and fitness is extremely important to us both. We have always been very active and enjoy very much our sessions at the gym.

Negative experience: I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the sales tactics and customer service at your gym. On three different occasions, I was given inconsistent information by three different staff members regarding your sales promotions. For example, I was told that a "one-day sale" was ending that day, only to see it continue for three days. Additionally, staff members quoted incorrect prices for other Pilates places, such as Best Body, seemingly to push me to join your gym. I initially joined under the 7-day cooling-off period, but when I decided to cancel, I was confronted by a staff member sent by Madi who was firm and clearly unhappy with my decision. If the 7-day period is meant to allow customers to reconsider, why was I met with such resistance? The staff at your gym need to be more honest and consistent in their communication. People's money and trust are at stake, and this experience has left me questioning your business practices.

Positive experience: Pretty good gym! The staff are all nice (not overwhelmingly friendly, but still approachable) and the members are relatively good. Occasionally weights are left where they shouldn’t be but that’s to be expected with the number of lazy people these days. And honestly, still so much better than the other two Goodlife gyms I have been to (Subiaco and Myaree). The only time I’ve had issues with getting equipment is at the very peak busy times, but outside of that you can find stuff easy enough. The cable machines and free weight benches are usually the first to go when busy, but I've never had to wait more than 5 mins for a squat rack. Wouldn't mind another 45 degree leg press as there is only one, and the horizontal leg press machine always seems broken. Aircon works quite well, but could 100% do with another couple of fans, especially for us sweaty people and for the humid days.

Negative experience: Do not join this club. After going through a difficult health battle and being diagnosed with MS I was unfortunately not able to continue using the gym. After getting a letter from my neurologist to cancel my gym membership the club has refused to cancel. I also had a membership with Craigie Leisure Centre as sometimes I needed to use a Creche and they have been absolutely fantastic, nothing but helpful and supportive and had no hesitation in cancelling my membership. Dealing with Goodlife hillarys has been a horrible experience that I do not wish on anyone.

Negative experience: I agree with previous reviews. Mens showers are usually smelly and it's as if we're on rations with the soap dispensers often empty. The female cleaners seem uncomfortable in the men's change rooms. I suspect they rush through which is why the cleaning is not performed adequately. Also the long waits for broken down machine repairs are getting tiresome.

Negative experience: Wouldn’t recommend. It’s very expensive considering what other gyms offer and the ammenities are not worth the cost. Read the contact before signing up, because if you plan on leaving you gotta give a 30 day heads up and that 30 days is paid. The payment system is pretty average, though that’s based on my financial situation. The $10 daily late fee is cheeky. The staff are nice but it’s what you’d expect paying $23 - $30 a week.

Negative experience: Piss poor service (8 days of using this facility) I signed up a week ago. In that time I have somehow accurred a late fee of a $100 despite paying $130 last week. Attempted to cancel my membership been told by the manager I must pay my outstanding bill which includes the $100 late fee, and a cancellation fee or be sent to debt collectors. $230 for 8 days and told that is a system error and nothing they can do. Great service..

Negative experience: Haven't had a rope for face pulls/tricep extension for around a month. People have started to bring in their own. Crazy to think a gym charging $19/week or more can't go down to a sports store and spend $35. Machines also take on average 1 whole month to have repaired. Particularly poor when there's only one of them...

Negative experience: This is one of the dirtiest gyms I have ever been to. The men’s showers smell of sewage with the floors always slimy. Change rooms are never cleaned with over 100 bits of rubbish above the locker. I have also attempted to make this aware to management via email however they were ignored.

Negative experience: Signed up for reformer classes but they keep signing people up and you can never get into the class you want. So frustrating. So you book classes judt to get one. Knowing that it's probably not the best class time wise for you. Then you can't attend cause you should have known better. Then they have a silly rule that you can't cancel online after 2 hours before the lesson. So then I've added to the problem of people not able to get in. Very frustrated

Negative experience: Please think carefully before joining. The gym space is functional, clean and well maintained. However, when trying to cancel my membership I was given information that didn't sound right so I phoned Consumer Protection. The fitness code of conduct states you can cancel for any reason at any time and do not have to attend the club to do so and that they should respond within 7 days. Read the other reviews, my experience with cancelling has been completely unacceptable to say the least.

Negative experience: Only go to this gym if you enjoy standing around waiting for equipment while groups of 5-10 teenagers stand around talking to their mates and flexing in the mirror. The children that predominately occupy this gym also feel no need to use towels/wipe down equipment after use so hygiene is an issue.

Negative experience: Over crowded with school kids between 3/6pm weekdays ,limited space and expect to wait for access to machine weights frequently.Trainers seem to hog certain machines and block access during the day. Poorly run with lazy staff.

Positive experience: The facilities are nice, and I enjoy the variety and frequency of classes they have. On-site people are also friendly. However I find the way Goodlife manages memberships and payments a little dishonest. Since I joined, there have been regular errors in billing, always to their advantage. You have to follow up with them for the refunds, and I often find it is still not fixed in the next billing period. They often find justifications, like I changed my membership and the system didn't update the info. But any additional fees (eg: membership upgrade) are always accurately billed. Problems with systems that only benefit the business are deceptive and can no longer be justified as system errors. I hope Goodlife is quickly working on improving the way they do business (and their systems).

Negative experience: Facilities good, however too many members and long waits to use most machines. Have not been able to complete my normal triceps workout as there are only two rope attachments which are often hogged by one person using both. I came from healthy life fitness centre which closed down and had half the members, same floor space and much more equipment and attachments. Unfortunately no other nearby gyms are full service large gyms. Goodlife seems unwilling to spend a little money on providing enough attachments for members to use while selling too many memberships to have a functioning gym.

Negative experience: I first signed for the 12 months plan. Then within the first 7 days I cancelled and it was fine. On the very next day the manager calls me and use his very salesman ways to bring me back, by saying the weekly amount would go from 34.99 to 24.99 and I won’t have the commitment of 12 months, I could cancel anytime. After 2 weeks I went back to Goodlife Hillarys and and the manager treated me very differently and after explaining what he said to me on the phone, he would “do this for me” and I would only have to pay the first month. I asked to send to my email the cancellation paperwork, so I have a proof that was cancelled. He never sent and now my account was debited TWICE on the same day. $29.99 and $34.99. WHAT IS THIS FOR When I login still says 12 months contract. Will I have to go there again and make a scandal for them to cancel this membership I was dragged into again? Don’t signed up with them. When you go there to cancel the manager treats you like garbage.

Negative experience: Good gym in terms of equipment, facilities and cleanliness but awful in terms of members etiquette. Join up and you will be guaranteed to often have to wait for a teenager to scroll through tik tok for 20 minutes before you can use the bench press or other busy equipment. These issues have been reported to the manager who reckons that's not a big deal so here you go. Go to Karryniup or Innaloo instead if you want to train seriously.

Negative experience: I went to GoodLife to get a 5 days trial and I was interrogated by a young girl asking me if I was seriously considering to become a member. Not impressed at all for her attitude and costumer service skills.

Positive experience: Welcoming and polite at the front desk, lovely clean areas and new. My first session doing a Yoga class. Lauren was excellent.

Fantastic experience: Monday night yoga class at 6.45pm was literally one of the best I have attended in a long time. Bridie is amazing and fun but so full of useful knowledge. Highly recommend her class and no wonder it was so full.

Negative experience: This gym steals your money and doesn’t return it. Joined up before they had opened. When there were delays, I was given the option to cancel my membership, so I did. They weren’t even open yet and I had cancelled. After many emails they took $300 for the cancellation fee and sent the $120 receipt. Such terrible customer service. I will have to have my bank block them. They have Unprofessional management.

Fantastic experience: Lovely facilities clean and neat. Heaps of equipment. Staff have been super helpful and caring on 2 occasions when I have had minor medical issues

Positive experience: The gym itself looks lovely as a new gym should with brand new equipment new fixtures etc. Whilst the floor staff seem friendly enough, the manager is very slow to respond to simple questions, and comes across quite insincere. Already within a couple of months of opening, it appears to be just another commercial operation that drops the customer service ball after making the membership sale. Reading all the other reviews on how they manage membership cancellations (yes, they are already getting members cancelling their memberships!) makes me shudder as to what might happen if I take that option. If you want a customer service focused gym - this may not be the right one for you.

A few months passed and then they started taking money out again!!! Every week they steal money from me and won’t refund me or reply. Such terrible customer service. I will have to have my bank block them.

Fantastic experience: Massive, state of the art gym with an incredible array of S&C equipment. Staff have been friendly too. Lacks the cycling studio and boxing ring that were present at Healthy Life Fitness, but it's a minor sticking point for me.

Negative experience: Look at other local gyms that don't lock you into a contract. I cancelled my membership via email before the gym even opened as the four month delay in opening meant I had to look at a plan B. Emails about the opening stopped yet the joining and first weeks fees still came out of my bank a week later. Three phone calls, four emails and five weeks later I'm still yet to hear when my money will be refunded. Once I get the call I've been told I still need to wait 10 to 14 days for the refund. Not good enough.

Fantastic experience: Awesome place with great equipment. It can get very busy but there is always plenty of options. All staff are amazing and really friendly.
