Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for an incredible gym, Concept Jiu Jitsu is the place to train! It’s family-owned, and the sense of community here is unmatched. The coaches are skilled, friendly, and super knowledgeable, they make every session fun while also pushing you to challenge yourself. One of the best things about this gym is how welcoming it is for all skill levels. I came in with no prior fighting experience, and the coaches stepped me through everything, making sure I felt supported and confident every step of the way. Whether you’re a complete beginner or more experienced, they meet you where you’re at and help you grow. Especially as a girl, walking into a space like this can feel intimidating, but the coaches create such a safe and inclusive environment. It’s the perfect place to get fit and build confidence.

My 12 year old loves it and never has to be asked twice to go. The family team are fantastic. A great place for adults but particularly children. Highly recommended.

Awesome coaches and training crew. Good facilities and very clean mats. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for anyone looking to learn and develop martial arts skills.

Tyler says he feels the coaches are always willing to help in anyway. My 8yr old daughter and myself are currently joining the team at concept also :).

Coach Vee is so supporting and has a warm and genuine persona that my child absolutely adores! Coach Declan is also fantastic and the classes are inclusive for all skill levels. The whole team is very approachable and personable and you feel like you’re part of a community when you join the team. I can’t reccomend these guys highly enough, especially if your wanting to get your little one into a sport that has a safe and supportive environment.

Fantastic experience: There's a reason their average review score is 5.0 The staff are super friendly, the environment is very inclusive, and the trainers know what they're doing and seem to enjoy their work. There are members who fight competitively, and members who can't run more than 15 metres (me). Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get into Kickboxing, MMA, Jiu Jitsu, etc.

Fantastic experience: Both my boys have been going for a month now and absolutely love it ! My youngest can be quite withdrawn in groups but is absolutely flourishing. Coach Vee has been awesome with him and has helped him gain his confidence quickly. All the coaches actually have been fantastic. Good value for money as there are various lesson times/days you can go to included in the weekly cost. My eldest does the kids kickboxing class aswell. Highly recommend Concept jiu jitsu 10 out of 10!

Fantastic experience: I would like to start off by saying that deciding to start learning Brazilian jujitsu has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have only been training at concept for 4 weeks now and I can already feel the benefits towards my health and fitness increase dramatically in such a short time. Upon arriving at Concept to have a sit down and just watch a lesson I was greeted with such open arms that the coaches enticed me into joining in, and without hesitation I joined the group students and they were all so welcoming towards me being part of the class. Over the past 4 weeks I have grown to admire the coaches and even the assistant coaches on there passion and humbleness towards the arts and their students. They are all so helpful and they work along side you at your pace of learning. The atmosphere in their gym is so uplifting not because of what you are learning but the people that are in it. I’ve never been to a place where there is so must respect towards each other. I’ve also had the chance to experience the other classes that they have to offer like MMA and Kickboxing and I undertake these classes as well and their knowledge base on these other areas are amazing. I have also sat in and watched their junior classes and I was amazed with the effort that their assistant coaches have put in to teaching these kids and having them at an outstanding level. All in all, learning Brazilian jujitsu has impacted my life for the better not only in my mind body and spirit but life long friendships with the students and coaches. I one day hope that I can repay my experience at concept and teach others myself. So, in rapping it up I 100% recommend Concept Jujitsu to anyone and everyone wanting to make a positive change in there life whether it be for fitness or an excuse to get out of the house cause you wont go wrong learning under these fantastic people. Fantastic experience: The coaches here are fantastic. They support the kids (and adults) in such a positive way. My son has come leaps and bounds since beginning with this club. His self confidence has improved 10 fold. He has found all participants respectful and supportive. A great club.

Fantastic experience: Coach Joel has a certain way of connecting with kids in his class. A very strong demeanor yet calm and positive. The kids give instant feedback and it seems no one gets left behind during drills and/or play. I can only hope he is around for many more years to come so my kids can benefit for his long term teaching plan.

I travel an hour to the gym and an hour home because I think this gym has great instruction, clean mats and a great crew. If you're interested in trying bjj and you are anywhere near the Pakenham area make this your first stop.

Fantastic experience: The coaches are very skilled and wonderful with kids. They make you feel like family, my son's attitude, and self esteem has improved so much since training here. They incorporate their anti-bullying program in the training sessions, this gives the children the necessary skills when facing difficult social situations. The venue and prices are great as well. :-)
