Hello Kathy, Whilst we appreciate the time you have taken to provide feedback, we are deeply saddened by the low rating. Over the phone you clarified that your 1-star review reflects how you feel about all gyms and not specifically us and you felt our support was not genuine. The review doesn’t provide any insight as to why you feel our business and team deserve a low score? In conversation while you were a member with us you said ‘’we have made coming to the gym easy for you & we have certainly made a positive change in your life. You also noted that “had this gym not opened, you would still be at home, doing nothing.” We really enjoyed being a part of your fitness journey. It was wonderful hearing from you that over the 8 months with us, you not only gained energy, you could walk for longer, felt stronger, lost 10kgs, but had also felt that the gym helped you feel more positive. We are so proud of you and what you have accomplished. The word “gym” quiet often is stigmatised with many associating it as a place where people only prioritise their physical goals. At Anytime Fitness Nairne, we offer a place for people to feel connected, motivated and supported because we believe health and fitness starts from within. Our team is passionate about helping people realise that Anytime Fitness Nairne is more than just a “gym” it is a place where everybody and anybody is welcome in a safe, positive and motivating space. The Nairne community has been incredibly supportive and welcoming of our family run local business. Being a part of this community has and will always be an honour and there are no words to express the gratitude we feel for the support we have already received from our locals. From all of us at AFNairne, we wish you all the best! Kathy, we called you to find your reason for the low rating as no comment was provided, thats called customer care. Leaving a 1 star rating in a public space is not what any business wishes for. Not leaving a comment is even less kind. I am appreciative that you have now had the courtesy to leave us feedback that we can reply to. We deserve to have our say too and to understand why you are leaving this rating. You discontinued your membership 10 months ago, it was a shock recieveing this from you out of the blue, of course we would want to know why. We had no idea you were lying to us, we knew you didnt enjoy the hard work but in your case its not going to be easy. Being sore after exercising is very normal and that is why we check in with our members to be there for support if needed. The conversation you're speaking of regarding the ''woman'' never happened by phone call, it was by FB messenger on the 28.07.22. We are very supportive of her and her tea business and only asked that the tag she used be removed from the public post as she had tagged our managers personal facebook account as well as our business FB account. Just as you have edited your above comment removing the "womans" name for privacy and confidentiality reasons our staffs private FB accounts can not be used. We even told you, you did not need to take down the post, simply remove the tag. We love having the her as a member and we support every member equally. Suggesting that we dont is very upsetting and I'm sure you dont mean it. You're lashing out on people who genuinely cared about you and tried to help you achieve you're goals with encouragement and support, just as you had asked us for.

Hi Darren thank you for your rating. AF Nairne is a premium facility, modern, brand new, perfectly clean & maintained; hence, the membership options reflect the high quality of our services, age of our club and equipment, member support, and extensive range of group fitness. The membership agreement outlines how membership transfers work as each club is independently owned/operated. We did our best to contact you, notifying you by email and by phone call before your rate was increased. Our records show you have been sent this communication and have opened all our emails. Unfortunately, however, if you do not answer our calls, this may have led to you not realising your rate was increased. We certainly did reach out to welcome you to our club and notify you of the transfer process. You chose to use our club, and by doing this, your membership was automatically transferred to us and the rate was adjusted. We understand your perspective, but please recognise that the cost of living, let alone building a premium facility has increased substantially over 9 years since you first became a member with AF. A rate of less than $10wk would not be viable to sustain or upkeep our beautiful, immaculate & spacious facility, top of the range equipment and high standards. We hope to see you training with us again.
