Negative experience: This gym is the worst managed gym I have ever attended.. male changerooms are disgusting and never cleaned properly and are extremely unhygienic and a serious risk to customers health, after raising this on numerous occasions and having my concerns dismissed, I have now raised a health report with the City of Stirling.. this gym needs to held accountable for its below standard of cleanliness and hygiene which is imposed on its paying customers.

Negative experience: Hi all, I dont receommned this gym at all. These people are keeping us for money and giving us different dates when we want to cancel the membership. Me and my husband joined the gym together for a 12 months contract, now saying its a 18 months contract and I took a one moth leave for my foot injury, Plus they count that month including in the 18 month cycle. I have provided my medical certificate. This is unfair and taking money by force which is not right. Don't go for this gym at all.

Fantastic experience: Goodlife Karrinyup Gym has been my second home for the past 2 weeks of being a new member and loved every single thing this gym could offer. All the equipments are top quality and clean. Staff are fantastic and are willing to assist on any queries regarding anything. The gym is so spacious and well kept plus it’s close to supermarket downstairs which I can do my shopping afterwards which is a huge bonus for me. Loving it here and I guess it’s worth every penny you’ve paid for a gym membership.

Positive experience: Good equipment and nice sauna. (Edited) A half month after GoodLife, I am still amazed with the equipment. However, the sauna was often filthy, and the bench was like squeaky near to break. I hope they fixed this since the sauna really helps me a lot to reduce my body fat and solve my snoring problems.

Negative experience: This place is totally unresposive and unreliable. Before joining the gym, the centre manager booked me in for reformer trial and even confirmed by text message. But, when I turned up for the session, I was told there was no session being booked or available. I felt very neglected, disregarded, being unwelcoming and totally was just a waste of time.

Fantastic experience: Sleek design, New well maintained equipment, easy access from car park and Karrinyup shops. Everything you need in a gym is at Goodlife Karrinyup. I love the natural light and windows to watch life happening below. I look forward to my workouts and the atmosphere. I was looked after well by management when I needed to relocate my life up north for 5 months. An easy suspension was put on my membership for only $20. Highly recommend this gym.

Negative experience: Unresponsive and Dishonest – Beware of Extra Charges! I am extremely disappointed with the service Goodlife. Not only have they charged me extra fees without explanation, but they also refuse to respond to my repeated requests to address the issue or cancel my membership. Despite following their procedures, I’ve been ignored through multiple attempts via phone and email. It's unacceptable for a business to treat their customers with such disregard, especially when it comes to handling their finances. I would not recommend this gym to anyone looking for a transparent and trustworthy fitness facility. Avoid if you value customer service and accountability

Negative experience: Goodlife is the worst value franchise in all of the big gym chains. Reasons to avoid Goodlife: 1. Poor customer service. In my entire time coming and going from the clubs, I’ve only been acknowledged a handful of times. Recently going into other franchises to check out the gyms have been a refreshing experience. Staff also don’t care about the state of the gym, weights all over the place and have absolutely no intention of enforcing basic gym etiquette as per everyone’s contract. 2. Contracts are extortionate and they will take as much as they can before letting you leave. The lock in contracts are garbage and provide no value in comparison to many other gyms I’ve just looked at last week. The 30 day cancellation notice is just another excuse to squeeze more money out of you for no reason. I challenged the charge as I have been a member for over 3 years and got the typical NPC response. They leave a simple end date of your contract out of the contract details and don’t say anything when it’s up (which could all be automated very easily) in hope you forget and will just keep taking your money even when you haven’t been for ages. I have also had platinum membership and have not been offered ‘quarterly’ coaching since February, but you charge for that out of my account, right? 3. Beautiful space but air con either doesn’t work well or is like the Antarctic. 4. Toilets STINK 5. Something is always broken; the sauna, equipment, staffs will to do anything to improve the gym. In all honestly, with the smaller much better quality 24/7 gyms popping up, don’t waste your time. Look around and be check reviews! Avoid Goodlife (Karrinyup especially) at all costs.

Positive experience: This newly renovated Goodlife is the best one that we know. Featuring a wellness vibe, wide open spaces, green hanging plants, and Apple Watch compatible equipment. The classrooms even feel like the Fitness+ Studio. Some improvements are the sauna could be bigger - it is always busy; and the water from the drink fountains has a weird taste. It seems very popular among young people; plus there is a Yo-Chi directly downstairs…

Negative experience: Staff member is rude and disrespectful to underaged customers, Was working out and was approached by a member of staff not in uniform and accused of being a trouble maker this lady then proceeded to singled me out among my Friends. I’ve never seen this lady before and I’m under 18 she then continued to kick me out of the gym. I was extremely intimidated by this interaction I’ve never given somewhere a review before but I think it’s important for young people considering joining goodlife I enjoy the gym here it’s amazing and but some members of staff seem to take it too far.

Negative experience: When I canceled my membership I gave 30 days notice to cancel. But they still want keep charging me after 70 days notice! After following up 4 times in person and emailing still no one has resolved. Very poor and unprofessional

Negative experience: One of the reasons i joined this Gym was for the sauna facilities yet yet I have only had one sauna since joining because the sauna is always out of action and they are very quick to blame the customers for the problem. I would suggest owning it and getting it fixed promptly with the fees they are getting from their clients who have paid for this facility. Sick of the excuses , I don't care that you are waiting for the insurance to get back to you about a faulty part. It's a joke. I want a Sauna!

Negative experience: If you're like me and want to join this gym with the promise of a functioning sauna, let me save you the suspense: it's perpetually out of order. Management insisting it's the customers' fault for allegedly breaking it. It's curious how this establishment seems to attract the world's only clientele capable of breaking saunas every week. For sauna seekers, look elsewhere.

Negative experience: Unfortunately as management have ignored many requests, it has to be posted on Google. Please replace the anti slip mats in the pilates reform studio with actual anti slip pilates mats. No, providing a square of plastic liner that you use for kitchen drawers is not an appropriate substitute!! Someone will fall off a reformer and injure themselves, all for the sake of not replacing a $10 mat.

Positive experience: Whilst it's on the pricer side for a membership, I've always felt welcome. I pay $27.99 a fortnight and with access to every goodlife gym. I've enjoyed the experience, range of equipment, classes offered and the overall state of the gym in terms of cleanliness. The staff are friendly and I haven't found any to be judgement , no matter the skill level you may, or may not have. I miss when they had a creche, though, as now I find it hard to make time between work and a kid which was partly the reason I chose goodlife to begin with My only other con is that sometimes it is difficult to get 24/7 access after the centre is closed as sometimes you need to call security to let you in the centre doors.

Negative experience: They make the whole process to cancel or change your subscription so complicated. Your account can get locked and denied a password reset. After a month I’ve yet to hear anything back from them about getting my online account back, so that I can cancel my membership. It’s not exactly a cheap gym and I no longer live nearby.

Negative experience: Atrocious customer service, I was put on the incorrect contract (18 months) and when asking to change to the 12 month contract inside the cooling off period, the staff did not action change. Despite having a full email thread of evidence of my request, 14 months later they refuse to take responsibility of this and have said I have to pay a $255 cancellation fee due to them not changing my contract 14 months ago when requested. Not to mention I'm pregnant, unable to use their classes and they refuse to regard my doctors note on top of this. Will never be signing up to Goodlife again.

Negative experience: Really dirty place. You can see the dust in the air in the bathrooms. Clearly never been cleaned properly. Floors were black from dirt. I would have taken photos but abit awkward being a bathroom. Really sub par and disappointed. Actually a health hazard. Main gym area looked nice and machines were new so that was the 2 stars. Lift your game goodlife.

Negative experience: I have been a member at Karrinyup for the last year. I am no longer in a lock in contract. At 35 weeks pregnant I thought there may be a timeframe I needed to let the gym know I would like to cancel. So with 5 weeks notice before my due date, I reached out to cancel. 2.5 weeks has passed since then, and I have sent 6 emails to cancel (directly to manager and via the contact us portal on the website) and made 2 phone calls to which I was told someone would get back to me. I have continuously been ignored. Joining the gym, and them taking my money could not have been an easier process. Trying to cancel has been impossible. If you want a gym that values clients, I really suggest you look elsewhere. It seems goodlife think that people have no lives and have the time to be sending multiple emails and making multiple phone calls. Thanks for making my first few days of maternity leave stressful. Also, the bathrooms absolutely stink. Every time you go to the ladies bathroom be prepared to have to hold your breath. Better ventilation is desperately needed. Gross.

Positive experience: Great gym, but lately I feel like in a school yard. So many teenagers that comes in large groups and takes ages to use the equipments and they’re rude af. I’ve seen them opening the doors for outsiders so many times I’ve lost count, nobody does a thing about it. I wonder why I am paying for gym, I could just become mates with them and train for free. It’s a shame really. I usually wait until late when their mommies put them to bed, but then the sauna is closed

Negative experience: If I could I would give a zero star. I was trying for weeks to simply get my bf's membership transferred to my name as he went through surgery and only had 2 months of membership left to be used. Well, I found out they extended his contract , which was initially for 12 months, to an extra 6months/1 year (I literally couldn't understand) without his consent. To sum up, I am actually so glad I didn't get to join this gym because it's a JOKE. After going in person 3x and been told something completely different every time by different employees (all they could do was blaming each others), I also tried to contact the manager many times to discuss the issue, I left my mobile and waited for a call, he called me once with a private number , which I couldn't call back :) Never called again... I honestly can't believe how bad their customer service is. Don't believe a word they say. PS. One of the reasons I wanted to join was because of the sauna!! Hahaha whata joke...The sauna only works until 5pm ... and 12:00 on weekends... unbelievable...

Negative experience: Worst gym experience I've ever had, staff don't know about the policy, and they made me sign a contract again after a few months because of their mistake, no one is responsible for their own mistakes. Overcharged a few times, the manager always gives excuses when it comes to freezing the membership due to a health condition. Emails take over a month to be answered. Big ZERO STAR I won't even start talking about the Broken equipment

Negative experience: If you want to be taken as a fool by the staff members, this is your gym. One of the staff members told me to buy a voucher and once it is paid, the gym inform you that you cannot benefit from it. So you lost money and they don’t even try to fix it. Bad customer service.

Negative experience: I have been a customer of this franchise for several years now. Now we have been attending the gym in Karrinyup, and since it opened there has ALWAYS been something wrong with the aircon system. A few months back the aircon ducts were falling apart and that could had been a safety hazard to us (the users). Now the aircon is just blowing freezing cold air all the time. I have spoken to the reception and they keep telling me the management is already aware. So obviously the management is aware but doing nothing about it. Also, the machines (eg the leg curl machine) could stay broken for weeks. And don't get me started on the wifi, there is poor 4G/5G coverage inside the gym, so I need wifi to follow my workout routines which are online, the wifi in the weight lifting area is terrible and unusable. Sorry, but I can't recommend this franchise to anyone unless you are willing to pay a high fees and be willing to deal with faulty facilities. The gym looks nice though if it helps....

Positive experience: It's has its good and bads. Karryinup being new is possibly the best so far, but it's becoming more and more popular, due to its new machines and equipments. Other facilities like subico or innaloo need a massive update and new equipment. Even a fresh paint on walls and new flooring maybe, just feels so depressing. But overall gets the job done i guess.

Negative experience: BAD BAD BAD! These guys promise the world and deliver an atlas They blame paying customers when equipment is faulty, and then refuse to fix it. They try to bully customers into submission on any feedback and refuse to take on board any requests to improve A vast majority of the gym cant be used after 3pm in Spring or Summer due to the sun blasting in and the club not installing blinds, it is horribly hot and sunny. The parking situation is terrible and you're left to walk through the shopping centre after a sweaty gym session. From the manager down, these guys are interested in one thing and one thing only, it isnt your health, it isnt your wellbeing, it isnt even your fitness, one thing only, Your Money! Avoid at all costs!!

Negative experience: I had a tour here as I was looking into getting a membership when an incredibly soft spoken staff member half heartedly took me around the gym and then stood me in front of a digital screen when they genuinely said 'The cool thing about this screen is that if you're here at the right time it'll show you the weather'. Furthermore when I went to a Mat Pilates class I had the instructor make fun of me in front of an entire class because I arrived early because I hadn't been before. I will be staying at Revo thanks very much.

Negative experience: Staff dont enforce simple gym edequit, users dont rack their weights, gym is constantly got equipment skattered everywhere, nobody uses towels or cleans their equipment with wipes. Kids on their phones and letting their mates in. NO CONTROL mightaz well just leave the doors open to everyone. Brought up issues with staff and they dont do anything about, said "feel free to let people know".... lol

Negative experience: I went in asking for a week to week membership just for a gym close to work and the sales lady signed me up and told me that there was a bonus month free. Little did I know, the free month was because she signed me up for a years membership without telling me. Only realised a couple months later when I quit my job so I had to cancel and was told of a $255 cancellation fee, despite having gone in and specifically asked for a week to week membership. The manager was not understanding at all and didn’t even try to confirm with the sales lady for her to tell me why she would’ve done that.

Negative experience: Predatory and extortionate X 2 My wife went in for a 6 month membership and was upsold an 18 month premium one as they do. When we tried to cancel we were told there was a cooling off period. We were then contacted by a woman from good life trying to reinstate her membership but when goodlife was contacted directly they said that she was an independent contractor and wasn’t affiliated with goodlife. Yet she had my wife’s membership details and status. Very dodgy business practices. Steer clear of this mob. Very standard predatory gym thieving behavior. I expected better from such a large company !!!

Negative experience: Joining goodlife karryinup is like paying for an item that turns out to be faulty and meanwhile they admit that they’ve done you wrong, still making no attempt to refund your money! Worst money spent on my 6 month membership.. My biggest regret is not perusing my enquiry with the ombudsman very early on, after the lady who claimed to be manager told me there was no one above her who I could speak with and claimed to be the head office, complaint officer, sole manager and all else, who was absolutely rude and unfriendly let me add, insinuating I was lying and wasted 2 hours of my time with no resolution… to then meet the actual manager 3 months down the track named Chris- who has been lovely to deal with I must add! Received an email asking why I rated them so poorly on the survey they sent out - to which I replied with a detailed essay and never received a written response. After settling the final bill for a membership I have not used in months, I received a phone call from whoever it was asking how I would rate the gym and after re-opening that can of worms.. i get told that they can see all of my complaints written down in detail etc, and wished me better luck in my next gym! Absolute rubbish communication and obviously don’t care about costumer satisfaction and just after your money! There are a lot of better gyms out there, please think twice before signing up to this gym!

Positive experience: Repost: the team at goodlife did eventually refund my money even though it took a while. It’s a good gym with good facilities, and staff are friendly. Personal trainers are a bit pushy and be careful of sales tactics when signing the contract (but this is a problem in life, not just Goodlife). ———————————————————————- Hi there. The gym itself is great and staff are friendly. I’m posting this review just to get some attention as I am trying to get my money back. My wife and I were charged 98 dollars for personal training costs that were added to our contracts - this hidden fee wasn’t explained to us nor did we want it. I’ve been in to the gym twice to talk about this, both times being told by reception that they’ve either spoken to the manager and it will be reversed or they will get someone to contact me. It’s been a few weeks now and I’m still waiting on my refund. Please help!!! Happy to update this review if I can get some speedy assistance and get my money back. Thank you, Yashved

Negative experience: Avoid - Predatory and extortionate I was convinced by a friend to join up before they had officially opened as they had a "founding members deal". I was sent the advertisement for $13 per week and responded as instructed only to be told by a staff member that the deal was no longer available, even though the add was posted the same day. This went back and forward for the better part of a week before it was finally resolved. Upon their opening around 4 weeks later, I attempted to attend the included classes in the upper level. There was no chance of getting a spot. Snooze you loose is basically what I was told. Tried again that week, no dice. I decided it wasn't for me. Spoke to a girl at the counter and was informed that my 2 week cooling off period was already done... HOW!? the gym had been open less than 1 week! The period started from when the contract was signed, not when the gym had opened to clients. The whole purpose of the cooling off period is to see if the service is right for you without obligation. How on earth can the period be finished before it was even possible to receive the service? Fast forward another week. I get contacted by a DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY sayiny need my payment immediately or incur legal action. Turns out the staff member who took down my payment details entered it wrong and they sent debtors after me. No phone call to ask if the details were correct first. I had to go down there to sort it out and they had the audacity to try and charge me a late payment fee and told me I would have to sort it out wit the collection agency myself! No no, you're mistake, your problem... Don't even get me started on the tedious cancelation process.

Negative experience: They said I could get free PT sessions if I joined the club. So I joined. But 3 week later no PT have contacted me at all. I told them this and the reception guy always say yes yes yes our PT will call you very soon. At least 2-3 times face to face we talked about this. So far still no PT have contacted me. Also I have told I am not interested in any of your group lessons and all I want is to hiring a PT to do my personal training. 3 weeks already nobody call me. I don’t know why i have been treated like this? Because English is my 2nd language? Just know I called them again and said I am unhappy with you guys I even want to quit your membership. And they said yes you can and we can help you. Even no sorry no explanation. No way I don’t care about the money or the membership, I just want to be treated by the proper way and at least get a sincere SORRY.

Fantastic experience: The best gym I've ever been to. Nice high ceilings with plenty of space for me to do my HIIT HIRT, plyo, functional training and "bro-split" sessions. Awesome customer service, and they're not afraid to ask for some constructive feedback to improve their operations. Plenty of equipment which I find to always be available. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Extremely unsatisfied with the availability of the reformer Pilates classes. Almost impossible to book into a class with classes full an entire week in advance. Goodlife are promoting a membership with reformer that is not accessible for all.

Negative experience: So my 16 year old son has just completed his 2nd session on the Jumpstart intro. Yet he has not been provided a program for him to go through the gym on his own and work at his own pace, and he will won’t! I have never come across this at any gym ever in my 40 years of attending gyms. That should have been an absolute no brainer for anyone wanting to join a gym. He can of course hire a PT to put one together at additional sessions and costs and of course I will. I’ll bet I cannot use any PT though and only one of theirs. What an incomplete and defunct introduction to this gym! And not forgetting them mentioning the extra $59 sign up fee to set up the direct debit payment you need to have. Poor form Goodlife and your business model may be glossy but those who know how it should be done will see you wither like those before you.

Fantastic experience: All round great club, besides a number of people leaving weights loaded, the staff are great, manager Chris has been exceptional to deal with after a few dilemmas I've had, the staff are helpful and friendly. It would be good to see sharing of patrons social media like a few other big players, always good to see the trainers sharing clients etc deserves 5 stars all day long
