Fantastic experience: Using this branch of SNAP for a while...for me, this the best fitness centre. Lovely staff ( particularly Toby, amazing guy) so helpful. Very clean environment, all equipments are new and very good condition.....I would happily recommend to my friends. Keep do good work guys

Fantastic experience: I recently joined Snap Fitness Sherwood and couldn’t be happier with my experience so far. The facilities are top-notch—clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you need for a great workout. The 24-hour access is incredibly convenient, especially for anyone with a busy schedule. A special shout-out to Fraser, the acting manager, who made my experience even better. He was super helpful, approachable, and friendly, ensuring I felt welcome and comfortable from the start. It’s clear he genuinely cares about members and goes the extra mile to assist where needed. I would highly recommend Snap Fitness Sherwood, especially thanks to Fraser’s exceptional service and the overall quality of the gym!

Fantastic experience: Toby said I had strong legs 10/10

Fantastic experience: Me and my wife were looking for a gym in the area, and Snap Fitness seemed like a good option. The reviews were mixed on billing issues, but the gym itself sounded promising. When we visited, Toby was very welcoming, showing us around the newly renovated space with new equipment. We mainly wanted to use the cardio machines indoors, and Toby signed us up with a $1 registration discount, which was nice. A few days later, we returned to work out. My wife doesn’t do well with strong ACs or fans, so I turned off a large fan while we used the cardio machines (the AC was still on). This didn’t sit well with one of the regulars, and things escalated into a verbal argument. Not the gym experience we were hoping for. I reached out to Toby afterward to explain the situation and asked to cancel our membership due to the unpleasant experience. After some back and forth, he informed us there was a 30-day notice period, meaning we’re now paying for five more weeks of membership we won't be using. Overall, while the facility itself is decent, the handling of our situation left a lot to be desired. I believe a more customer-focused approach, like a refund, would have been fairer. Because of this, I’m rating it 2 stars. Update: The customer support team reached me out, they handled the situation, and canceled out our membership immediately, without the notice period. The offered full refund, but we did not take it, because that would not have been fair. Changed my review 5 stars, because this is the way how things should have been handled

Fantastic experience: Went here today for the first time and am impressed by the layout and the location.. Walking distance to the train station if that helps. Staff were helpful and the gym was clean to make it a worthwhile experience.. Will go back when on the south side

Negative experience: The management of this organization needs to prioritize customers and understand that customer satisfaction is paramount in any business. An arrogant and rude attitude from staff can seriously damage a company's reputation. The membership cancellation policy and fee increase notice period seem unfair. The contract states that members must give four weeks' notice to cancel, yet the notice period for a price increase is less than four weeks. This discrepancy forces unhappy members to pay extra. Is this fair trade? I believe this has been designed on purpose, especially when the manager does not take the complaint seriously and dismisses it by saying it’s only $10, do you have time to pursue it? Australian Consumer Law states that businesses must not engage in misleading or deceptive conduct, and fee changes should be communicated clearly and with reasonable notice. The Fitness Industry Code of Practice, though not law, recommends at least 30 days' notice for fee increases. Moreover, collecting five-star reviews by offering incentives is unethical. I spoke to them, and it seems they think it’s okay not to follow the recommended industry code of practice. It’s clear they rely on this sort of income and design policies to take advantage of people who do not know their rights. These practices and behaviors are unacceptable. The underlying issues with their policies are a concern, especially since they have no intention to do the right thing and amend their policy and contracts. They feel very comfortable not following recommendations, which is bad and sad, and shows the real intention behind their business.

Negative experience: You keep deleting my comments on FB and reposting your ad again. While I was a member in 2021- 22, it took Snap Fitness Sherwood 4 - 5 months to repair their water fountain. No drinking water in the mean time. Also broken equipment would be repaired or replaced in 1 - 3 months time. No apologies or consideration was ever given to members about this. Made several requests and complaints to counter staff to no avail. Terrible experience. Next stop Google review

Negative experience: I joined over 2 years ago and found the gym to be average. No problem with that, it suited me. Sometime later I moved away from the area and had to cancel my membership. Since then I have been spammed with offers to rejoin. Phone calls and text messages and I subscribe does not work. They have no respect. Even received offers from other snap gyms. Update October 2024: still getting emails asking me to rejoin. It seems that their assurances mean nothing. I cancelled my membership because I moved out of the area, I had no problem with them. But their contempt means that I will never rejoin or recommend to anyone else.

Fantastic experience: Great quality gym!

Negative experience: Really wanted to rejoin as they are by far the cheapest and very close. But, as someone who works full time and prefers classes, it really doesn’t work. What is going on with the group timetable? Every month MAX two morning classes that are early enough for anyone with a job. Every other weekday class doesn’t start until 9:30am. Who is attending at this time? Certainly not people who have to go to work. They do have night classes but that only works for some. The staff are nice and the equipment is pretty good for a small gym. If you don’t care about classes or only work part time I think it’s good value.

Fantastic experience: Only just moved up here from Melbourne and I just have to say that this gym is fantastic and has such a wide assortment of machines! Very well kept gym and always tidy when I get in for a session. Gym staff are incredibly helpful and always keen on their customers. I highly recommend this gym.

Negative experience: The gym itself is functional, isn't overly clean with dust and grim, BUT the membership and payment issues that has occurred over the last 16 months is horrible. Being locked out of the gym after having paid the membership, but due to a technical issue behind the scenes at Snap. Still haven't got refunds from all the money owed to me. Have since left Snap, never to return.

Fantastic experience: I've been enjoying my time here, everything is clean and in good repair. Loads of workout options available but also good for someone getting into the gym for the first time. Friendly manager and trainers, sign up was a breeze and I was given a tour and an indepth explanation on how all the equipment worked.

Negative experience: Come on Sherwood Snap Fitness refund Emily, she was a uni student who needs the money you wrongly took from her!!! Membership cancelled and Sherwood Snap continued to deduct weekly fees and Never Refunded the money which they should never have taken!!! My friend Emily Leggett (see her post) cancelled her membership nearly 6mths ago, she was a full time uni student. But Sherwood Snap continued to deducted weekly fees. Sherwood Snap Fitness have admitted their error - BUT have NEVER refunded the money they wrongly took for weeks after the cancellation date. I think this is outrageous.

Negative experience: You guys should fix your machines or get some new ones because more than half of the leg exercise machines are broken 90% of the time

Negative experience: Where are the sanitary wipes? Today every santitary wipe dispenser in the entire gym was empty. Leaving me unable to wipe off the sweat from the previous person and my own drips. Days earlier I mentioned there were no wipes. Sorry to the next patron, but I was unable to hygienically wipe anything down, not the running machine before and after my sweaty workout; not the bench, not the weights or machines that people have dripped sweat over. Yes, I have a towel. Covid is still around and hygiene I thought should be a serious priority at a gym. Maybe the gym can buy some from Woolworths, pending the arrival of the outstanding order? I feel it is one thing after another, the water dispenser in the upper gym was not working, so if patrons wanted water they had to go down to only working water dispenser on the lower level. Happily it is fixed. Before that toilet paper seemed to be in shorter supply. I'd love a reducion in my fees to compensate me, which the new owners of Snapfitness increased in December 2022.

Positive experience: Enjoy the yoga classes

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the standard of customer service. I originally cancelled my membership in October last year and received a confirmation email. I noticed in November that money was still being taken out of my account past the final payment period and my concerns were dismissed and I was told I was wrong, despite providing screen shots showing that the money was still being taken out. I have been trying to get my money back and the payments canceled for almost 6 months now, just absolutely ridiculous. Snap Sherwood have finally admitted that this is due to a processing error on their front and that I am owed a refund and I have now been waiting almost a fortnight and despite checking in I am yet to receive any refund. This is a real shame because I had overall positive experiences with the gym during my membership but this has been unacceptable. I also asked for my name to be removed from marketing lists but I still receive constant texts and emails. Update: I still haven't received my refund, even though Snap Sherwood have admitted their mistake. They told me the refund was processed two weeks ago and I am yet to receive payment. I confirmed my bank details and still no payment. Completely appalling customer service. I have since joined a much better gym and would never reccomend Snap to a friend.

Negative experience: The worst gym I've tried to sign up to, maybe not ALL Snap Fitness clubs are all like this, but I'd been getting so many messages to join, so I took up their offer and went in. Not a trainer, employee or staff to be seen I waited, I called twice on phone. NO ANSWER OR RETURNED CALL. I had actual members trying to help me, explaining this was normal. I wouldn't join Sherwood Snap Gym. I went and joined Goodlife in Graceville instead. Staff always there, plus pool!!!! And heaps of other advantages!

Fantastic experience: I love the variety of equipment here. All the staff are always willing to give a helping hand if needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to start going to the gym or find a new one. Also love that I can get in anywhere

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Snap Fitness for around 3 weeks. It's a great place, never too crowded. There are enough machines, and the price is alright (the joining fee is a bit too much but at least you can always get 3 weeks free or similar deal). Nice staff too.

Negative experience: Has some equipment... has barely any room to train with the amount of members in the afternoon... the want you to pay exra $$$ to use the boxing bag or have extra space to train... not sure why as no other snap I have been to charge me for the boxing bag... however staff are friendly and kind and that’s the only reason I gave an extra star... it’s an ok gym but just sucks how they try to make extra money on parking and extra space
