Fantastic experience: Member here for about 4 years. Excellent gym, great service and good crowd. Always kept clean and tidy by management/ownership. Good range of machines and available benches and squat racks. Club Manager Raf is a very good CM and the trainers seem professional and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I have recently have gone back after a 3 yr break after having a baby and felt very lost. The manager has been great showing me how to use some of the new machines and making me feel very comfortable being back. I highly recommend Snap Fitness Maroubra!

Positive experience: Well equipped gym like all the snap fitness venues and it has a nice spacious separate room where you can stretch and do floor exercise. I’ve given this branch 4 stars instead of 5 because the weight room at the back is often untidy with gym goers leaving weight plates on the bars and the plates being stacked messily with 20kg plates over 5kg plates etc all mixed up. I’ve seen some of the female members have to ask other gym goers to remove some of the heavy plates left on the bars or machines. If staff members tided the area more often then gym goers would be more inclined to keep it that way.

Our team works diligently to keep the gym organised and clean, despite the challenges of operating a 24/7 facility. We tidy up the club multiple times a day, but there are times when some members may not rerack their weights properly. We’re continually working on improving this and appreciate your understanding.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of this gym for the past year and it’s great, usually quiet when I go around 5-6 am, the membership is a good price & its great that it is open 24/7. It Used to be messy (especially on a Sunday morning) not due to any fault of the staff just users not putting their weights back but it has massively improved. Love this gym!

Positive experience: The gym has a variety of equipments and is relatively spacious. It has a sled (not many gyms do) and plenty of heavy lifting machines (barbells/squats/pull-ups). The downside is NO parking and street parking can be a nightmare. It also gets very busy on peak times before/after work hours.
Fantastic experience: Been a Maroubra Snap member for over 5 years. Seen a lot of changes over that period. The only thing that hasn’t changed is the consistent quality of staff and equipment.
Positive experience: Large and well resourced gym, equipment it a bit older but works well. Surprising amount of racks if you like using those.
Fantastic experience: Amazing facility! New management and staff have done an excellent job with the gym having new equipment brought in and keeping everything clean and upgrading some areas around the facility having a nice new look for new and current members to enjoy their workouts in a safe and clean environment. Staff are extremely nice and greet and help any members in need of reaching their goals and what they want to achieve. Great work guys!!
Negative experience: Do not join this gym. They started charging me fees months after I finished my contract and now refuse to refund my money.
Hi Bob, can you please contact our reception staff so that they can assist you. Our memberships are month to month agreements and 30 days notice is required in writing to cancel. If a mistake was made, then we will happily resolve it.
Negative experience: Since Brownie left the Gym Management there is a poor and unprofessional communication with the new Management, i personally cancelled my membership due to their attitude after I reported few extra fees that Ezidebit charged my debit card. I recommend If you are someone who don't regularly check his bank account don't join Snap Fitness Maroubra, they often debit the membership fee twice a fortnight.
Hi Michael, I am unable to find you in our membership database under your google name. Am happy to discuss any concerns you have. Memberships are only debited every fortnight, unless a previous payment was declined due to insufficient funds in the account. In that case, we will rerun the payment again. Ezidebit do all the processing - we just send them the amount every fortnight. If your payment was declined by your bank, then ezidebit would have charged a decline fee.
Negative experience: The Gym itself and staffs are nearly flawless, always clean, Air con'd. But Contract wise, especially on the exit part, I find the company extremely greedy, even threaten to 3rd party debt collecting. Started from a dated credit card, late reply, entrance card barred, refuse to pay for the service never received. In result, the staff in Maroubra Snap helped me to resolve the issue. Very mix feeling through out my 3 years membership.
Hi Hantsun, you are correct in stating that the 'gym and staffs (sic) are nearly flawless, always clean' etc. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness and friendliness of the gym. We apply the same level of diligence to our recored keeping and I've been able to track exactly what happened to your account and all of the contact attempts we made to sort your failed payments out. As you know, we offer a complimentary membership freeze, or if you need to cancel, you just have to give 30 days notice. You did neither of those things. Here's your failed payment history: 14/12 - Fortnightly payment declined by your bank. You were sent an email with a payment link where you could make payment and also update your payment details if needed. You ignored the email. 15/12 - Ellen called you to follow up on the failed payment and update your payment method. You said that you were waiting for a new card and would update the details when you receive it. You never got back to us. 28/12 - Fortnightly payment declined by your bank. You were sent an email with a payment link where you could make payment and also update your payment details if needed. You ignored the email. 29/12 - Ellen called you, but you did not answer. She left a VM following up on the previous call and also sent you an email. You did not call back or reply to the email. 11/1 - Fortnightly payment declined by your bank. You were sent an email with a payment link where you could make payment and also update your payment details if needed. You ignored the email. Ellen called you again, but you did not answer. She also sent you an email, which you didn't reply to. 25/1 - Fortnightly payment declined by your bank. You were sent another email with the payment link. Ellen also called you and this time managed to get a hold of you. You stated that you only want to pay for your membership if/when you use the gym and that you shouldn't have to pay if you didn't use the gym. After three years of using the gym, your logic makes no sense. When you joined, it was explained that you only have to give 30 days notice if you want to cancel. If you want to take a break from the gym, you can freeze for free. If you don't notify us of either of those options, then we assume that your membership just continues as normal. As a goodwill gesture, we did apply a credit to your account to offset some of the balance owing. Your failed membership payments were handled in accordance with the Snap Fitness procedures. We made every attempt to contact you, but you ignored us. I'd suggest that next time you take responsibility for your membership and either freeze it, or cancel it. It's pretty simple.

Negative experience: As per my contract it clearly states that that Snap Fitness will not disclose my personal details with any third party entities however, I found out via social media group discussions that the person who I signed up at the gym with was helping a group of thieves steal from me with the signature I used to sign up for my membership. That is highly illegal so Snap Fitness can expect nothing from me but some criminal charges and I will be suing for BIG money. Disgusting

All data is secure and inaccessible by third parties and our security systems are compliant with relevant legislation. Your data has not been shared by anyone associated with Snap Fitness. I see that you do similar reviews for other businesses, claiming people are talking about you etc. I think maybe you need some help.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this gymn because there is a variety of machines, it’s very clean and tidy, and the staff there are more than happy to help you if you have any question or need some assistance especially from Lucky and Rod who are amazing and always keep me motivated. It’s a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. There is off street parking And there is pacific square Shopping centre right across the road which is very convenient. I give the gym a 10/10.

Fantastic experience: My son just joined Snap Fitness Maroubra. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The equipment and changing rooms are clean which was a priority to us because of the environment with COVID. I feel very comfortable with my son attending the gym as the staff are always there to help and actually look out for their customers. I would highly recommend this gym.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this gym for about 3 years. The equipment is modern, the facilities are always clean, and the staff are always helpful. Lucky is the new manager and doing a really nice job. They've also recently increased the size of the gym which has made a big difference. I particularly like the fact that it is s real local gym, supported by the local.

Fantastic experience: What a great gym! The staff are super friendly and happily help you out with any questions you have, going the extra mile and even showing you how to use the proper form and technique if you ask. Since this is the first gym I've ever joined, I couldn't ask for anything more! The place is always clean as well. It is quite small though, and it can get pretty busy at times.

Fantastic experience: I’ve known Iysha as a manager back to the days in Kogarah snap fitness, she then became my personal trainer who helped me greatly to achieve my results of muscle building. She is an awesome personal trainer as she is professional in her skills, and she goes extremely hard on her student especially like me, though I have gained a lot through her training programs. I had to say good bey to Iysha as I depart Australia, I’ve missed the time training in Snap fitness, especially Iysha.

Positive experience: Great little gym! Been training here since I moved to the area. As everyone else has said, this gym is always outstandingly clean and the equipment has never missed a beat My ONLY gripe is that I feel it is missing one key piece of equipment and that is the Standing Calf Raise. Whilst the Seated Calf Raise is present in the back room, calf raises in the seated (knees bent) position only target a portion of the muscles available in the calf, the slow twitch fibres, which have about half the growth potential of the fast twitch fibres. Seeing this addition would be great and would be the last piece of an absolute complete gym! ***EDIT*** That's great to hear! And yes, I've been doing just that since writing my review! Hopefully we'll get to see a dedicated decline bench in there too! :D
Hi Chris, thank you for your review and feedback. We have taken on board your comments about the standing calf raise machine. We are in the process of purchasing the retail shop next door and will be expanding the club around April/May. In the interim, you could possibly use one of the stepping platforms and do standing calf raises with the Smith Machine. We appreciate your suggestions.

Fantastic experience: Having tired and tested a couple of gyms in Sydney, Snap Maroubra hands down is the best. What amazes me every single time I step in is the cleanliness! I rotate between evenings to extremely late night workouts and yet the gym is always spot on. The staff are super-friendly and always greet you with a smile. Look no further, this gym gives an absolute bang for your money!!

Fantastic experience: Where do i start! This gym is prefect they have the most friendly staff with awesome energy and knowledge that you can always get from the trainers there, they are eager to help and will to take time with you and if you had any questions they always have an answer for it. Brownie To'o the club manager was the first person who helped me and started me up and gave me the confidence to push myself and start he is an amazing worker , friendly , helpful and always up for a chat , if anyone had any thing they needed help with he would be there. Positive experience: I used to be a regular at the Snap Fitness here, the machines were always kept clean and Brownie and the rest of the staff keep it clean. It's a 24/7 gym with members able to get access after staff hours at any time of day or night. There are enough machines, squat racks and dumbbells to keep any regular gym junkie happy.

Fantastic experience: If they keep saying this is the cleanest Snap Fitness chain, I agree. This place is a small gym but we like it a lot. The bathrooms are more amazing. There's no shared space so you can just get ready within the bathroom (each bathroom is fully equipped).
