Revo Fitness - Cockburn

Fantastic experience: Visited for the first time and it was great! Nice, clean and a great range of equipment. The massage chairs are a bonus too!

Negative experience: Too many ppl packed into a small space. Bench Press is dangerous, can't lock shoulder blades into bench to create stability... you just slide. Also doesn't suit short people as you can't adjust at feet. Need more weight plates and less groups of ppl standing around not getting any work done.

Positive experience: The gym is all right but its busy all the time.

Positive experience: Space and crowd: A very busy gym with a number of squat racks, the crowd does make it difficult though, although almost everyone cleans up after themselves! Ease of access: actually quite well located and access through the app makes it quite convenient Price and value: one of the cheapest gyms around and good value if you workout outside of the peak values

Positive experience: This gym is extremely busy and the staff are quite rude. Have no idea about the aircon here too? It is extremely hot in there! However, members are very friendly, share equipment, put things back, and are hygienic. Revos terms and conditions however do not comply to the fitness code. Unsure if they have changed them since I cancelled last month. However, they ask you to fill out a cancellation form which must be given in person. Or emailed if you are not able to bring it in. Cancellation does not have to be on a specific form. Only written notice needs to be given in any form. A cancellation is also only allowed to be maximum 30 days. Revo tried to charge me way beyond this and when questioned they knew they were wrong and waived my 'last payment' The 7 day cool off is also not even a cool off as you must still pay your entire months fee. something else which is not allowed in regards to the fitness code and wish I had have known prior as I would have used my 7 day cool off. Once of the only gyms who don't have admin fees and very reasonable prices. But still a little dodgy. A shame they are so incredibly busy with rather rude staff

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love Revo Cockburn! I have been a member since March 2021. Nicole the manger is amazing always greeting everyone with a smile and always making sure the gym floor is clean and tidy! its has a great energy and defiantly a highlight of my day

Negative experience: Update: they charged me a total of $213 THIS MONTH. They have gotten back to me and will refund me the total of over $550 they overcharged me in fees and will cancel my membership IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL MEMBERSHIP. Do not sign up. I have been trying to cancel my membership for months, they only respond to the occasional email and continue to charge me. Today they charged me $114 for the past month I cancelled. And when I suspended my membership jan-march they charged me in that period and twice in January (which they said they would refund but didn't) impossible team to contact, will keep stealing your money. So not sign up unless you want to for eternity and are ok with them double charging you

Fantastic experience: Very convenient gym with good machines and adequate dumbell selection. Naturally it gets busy during peak hour but every gym does, I work shift work so I am able to use it when it’s quieter. Bathrooms have been clean and tidy which is nice. The staff are super friendly and professional and the gym manager Nicole always goes above and beyond to help out and is very polite.

Positive experience: Air con is alright, nice and clean and modern looking, space vs equipment is fine. It’s adequate for a small population however I don’t see that being the case in that area. The boxing bag is garbage. Closed in a steel structure so you can’t kick it. It’s too soft anyway, not enough stuffing to even be used for punching. That thing would last 2 weeks having knees put in it. There’s 1 cable seated row and it’s on a weird angle being from above rendering it fairly ineffective and the attachments are in poor condition. I’ll be leaving Revo now as I’ve generally found them to be inadequate and there are better options around. Some people value quality over cost.

Fantastic experience: For under $10 a week Revo is great value for money. Works out at under $2.50 a session as I try for 4 sessions a week! If you don’t need the group classes or sauna, this is perfect They have high ceilings, plenty of light and space to move around the new and plentiful equipment and pigeon holes for belongings (in view). Peak hour is lunchtime (parking can be difficult) and after work until 8.30pm. Bring your own towel & filtered water if you don’t like the taste of chlorinated water from the water fountain!

Negative experience: Most uncomfortable benches, cant even sit on them properly while doing the shoulder press.

Negative experience: Revo are quick to take your money with no explanation of how the debit was calculated. I work FIFO 3 week on, 3 week off rotation. Every time I work away I religiously submit a suspension form. I have on multiple occasions been charged full price. Whenever I email to ask the reasonable question as to how the cost was calculated, I do not get a response. If I am wrong, fine, at least tell me why. This has happened a number of times now. Going elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Very nice gym. Easy joining process with a clear standard cost per month without additional "out of the blue" costs. Gym is always quite packed so avoid peak hours if you don't want to wait for a machine (or a free bench). There are no classes available, so better prepare your own training routine. My only complain/suggestiom is to improve the quality of the drinking water because doesn't taste filtered...

Positive experience: The way these teenagers hog the squat racks for 30 minutes at a time

Negative experience: I've recently signed up and began working out here. I would give it a higher rating because it is a good little gym. However, it is simply too busy. I easily spend half of my time looking for a spot to work out. I would not recommend joining because of this.

Fantastic experience: Revo Fitness at Cockburn is smaller as compared to the new canningvale counterpart but still features all the best equipment for cardio, back and biceps, chest, legs and shoulders aswell as gym facilities such as drink fountains and washrooms.

Positive experience: Called and spoke with Gavin and the team and got a estimate for cluch repairs. Wow! I'm impressed the team looked at options that were available, so I popped down and was helped with effective communication to understand what I was looking at both $$ and mechanically. Straight forward and clear. Thank you team

Fantastic experience: This gym is clean, friendly and has good facilities. More importantly it has the best trainer, if looking for an amazing PT ask for Lachlan. As a female I have a lot of anxieties around male dominated space and Lachlan Wilkinson has been a safe space, professional and highly knowledgeable trainer. I had alot of issues with spinal curvatures, malaligned hips, reduced muscle functionality on one side of my body and in 8 weeks, I am now pain free, standing straight and building muscle very quickly. I have not had a day where I have felt over sore after, he has not pushed me to breaking point or anything silly and I am seeing amazing results. I could not rate this man any higher.

Negative experience: Be very careful joining Revo Fitness! I canceled my membership approximately 2 months ago and they continued to draw out of my account! When I called Revo Cockburn I was told that there is no evidence of me canceling, despite physically going to Cockburn Revo and canceling my membership on the iPad! This club will have a hand in your back pocket Be warned

Just one thing that just happened to me when I was entering the gym a few minutes ago: For some reason my fob which I acquired only 6 days ago, didn’t work at the entry door as well as at the internal revolving gate. Someone else, a different member, had to let me in Michael Monikowski
