Negative experience: I signed up May 3 2023 and was given a trial period of 2 months free as a promo. Two weeks before the trial period ends, I came in personally and cancelled contract and surrendered my pass due to medical issues. Three weeks after I was charged in my debit card. I dispute the charges and block them through my bank. I got the money back. I went back to receptionist Mel and told her about the charges and she said she would email debit success which did not happen because I still receive emails and calls from them of my overdue payments. Mel is very accommodating . One month and a half later, went back to talk to them again because I am receiving demanding emails and texts of my outstanding balance with late payment fees. I was told. by a certain Alil that he cannot help me and accused me of using my pass three weeks after I signed off which is not possible because I have surrendered my pass.I was told by Mel that I don't have to pay anything because I cancelled before the trial ends and Alil is saying otherwise. Alil is rude and very inconsiderate and wouldn't even give me his last name. I read on this review thread that others have the same problem as mine and I know of some that have been complaining the same. I was told that I can cancel anytime with no obligations. So people be warned before you sign in.I wouldn't recommend this gym.

Negative experience: • I took out a 7 day trial membership in May 2023 • Didn’t get a chance to try the gym that week, contacted them and extended the trial for another 7 days • Last day of the trial I came into the gym in person and cancelled trial, completed cancellation form and handed back my pass • My credit card was still charged $72.00 the next day and then another $12.95 7 days later • I’m continuing to receive emails and phone calls from Debit Success claiming I owe money and threatening debt collection action because Muscle Universe never cancelled my membership; only reason the charges on my credit card stopped is because my bank blocked them • I spoke to the front desk person several times (text and spoken) and been advised each time she would speak to the boss and sort out (cancel membership properly as it should been in the first place and refund money) • I spoke to the boss in person on the weekend, he advised me he would speak to the front desk person Monday and get back to me • No response and when I’ve tried to call them, no answer In my opinion these people don’t operate with integrity. There are plenty of gyms to choose from, I do not recommend Muscle Universe Malaga. *** Update - this has been resolved. Apparently there was a miscommunication where the gym had already contacted debit success and could not contact me to confirm this. Debit success have also confirmed outstanding amounts have been cleared.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym, lots of great equipment and great vibe, there is something to suit everyone (free weights, plate, pin loaded machines, racks, cardio). Much nicer environment than all the gym franchises popping up on every street corner. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: This gym has the best equipment out there in terms of quality and availability. They have two bodybuilding style zones, a functional zone & a ladies only section. A great place to get some amazing workouts in. The owner is a very passionate guy and takes a lot of pride in the space he has created.

Fantastic experience: Been going to this gym for the past year or so and thought it was time to give an honest review. Resonably priced memberships, no contracts, the staff are always friendly and helpful, good quality equipment that's well maintained and kept cleen and the location is perfect always heaps of parking. The general atmosphere is welcoming and encouraging, you can tell these guys genuinely want you to achieve your health/fitness goals and don't just treat you like a number. They sell work out branded clothes which is pretty cool and a wide range of supplements reasonably priced too which saves a heap of time. The owner(Halil) is always arround and is always willing to help out with advice etc. They're expanding to next door soon which is proof they're doing something right! Looking forward to all the new machines etc. Well done team Muscle Universe!

Fantastic experience: We have been to many gyms and Muscle Universe is by far the best gym when it comes to variety of equipment, atmosphere and cleanliness. The owner Halil is professional, friendly, knowledgeable and always has time to give advice. Very excited for the new expansion and female only section of the gym. Would reccomend anyone to join this gym regardless of fitness level.

I would have to say Muscle Universe is the best gym in the Malaga area. I have been living in this area for the past 9 years and in that time have gone to 5 different gyms. MU is the only gym i have walked into knowing that there is always a good, positive vibe, it's always clean and the members respect other members and the equipment. That's the kind of place where you know you can get a great workout! The owner is very professional and has a lot of knowledge when it comes to training and very informative. Home for good

Fantastic experience: One of Perth's Best locally owned Gyms North of the River. Halil the Director is very inviting, super honest and has the results to prove that you can't cheat the system. If you put in the work, and you put in the effort, it will come. Equipment is good, and cleaned! The Locals that go there are very chilled, they are helpful and most importantly most of them put the weights back! Good Gym for those NEW and Experienced!
