Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for almost a year, and found it to be a great gym. There is a wide variety and of equipment, a lot of space, and the staff have always been helpful when I had questions. I would highly recommend checking them out!

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym with a lot of natural sunlight
Negative experience: Spacious gym, plenty of equipment, and generally clean – all very impressive. But what’s less impressive is the fact that intruders recently got in, helped themselves to members’ belongings from the pigeon holes, and even stole their cars. Now I’m left wondering if securing the place is really that hard? Passcode-lockable key/wallet lockers aren’t exactly a cutting edge invention, and they’re not expensive either. Maybe it's time to consider something so revolutionary for the safety of your paying members.

Unfortunately, theft can occur in any public space, which is why we regularly remind our members through announcements, social media posts and flyers to keep their belongings secure! We are slightly confused by your review as we do have lockable lockers available for all to use in the member lobby, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of them to keep personal items safe. Your safety and peace of mind are important to us, and we appreciate your suggestions as we continue to improve our facility! Thank you for being a valued member of our community!

Positive experience: Generally a good gym, but can be far too crowded sometimes
Positive experience: Overcrowded and way too busy. Been holding off on posting a review as I wanted to see what the gym looks like 2 years after it opened. Have been a foundation member since day 1. It’s definitely maxed out. So I guess the current owners and shareholders should be happy with the revenue coming in, with the number of consistent trainers they have here. It means during peak times the sessions and workouts aren’t enjoyable at all. I know this is how it is for most gyms, however for the biggest Anytime Fitness in Victoria, it needs more machines already. There isn't enough machines for how many members it has, as other than for multiple benches and squat racks - there is only 1 workout machine for all strength work. You can’t have 1 fly pec/rear delt machine, 1 smith machine, 1 power rack, 1 seated row machine and still no reverse fly seated chest machine and be able to cater for all workouts. I hope a few people do drop off or they do raise their membership prices for any members that have joined recently so they can move on to other local AF’s, otherwise buy more machines!! EDIT: updated 5th of March 2024. The gym has doubled down and continued to recruit more members. It’s actually horrible to train here. Unless you come in the middle of the day or late at night there is no point training here if you are serious about your workout. Massive fall from grace in terms of quality. 2ND Update - December 2024. Credit to the gym they’ve taken feedback on board and added a 2nd fly pec/rear delt machine as well as a 2nd smith machine. If they get a 2nd power rack next year or so, then it’ll really start to complete the layout of the gym. *A week after this update a 2nd power rack was added. Bravo now for that reverse fly seated chest machine

As a large gym, we have an understandably large member base, and we acknowledge that peak hours can be busy. We recognize that this can impacted the quality of your workout experience at certain times, and we take that seriously! Since March of this year, we’ve made several significant upgrades to improve the facility and address some of the equipment challenges mentioned. These include a full extension to our multi-jungle area, adding another pec fly, lat pulldown, seated row, and adjustable pulley. We've also added a second Smith machine, a second pec dec/delt fly machine, a ground-based split squat, a second leg press, and a second quad extension machine. This expansion alleviated congestion significantly and we hope it has enhanced the workout experience for our members. While we continue to be busy during peak hours, we want to emphasize that our gym is equipped with a massive variety of machines and equipment to accommodate members' needs. We’re proud of the high-quality gym we’ve built, and it’s exciting to see that it’s in high demand. To continue meeting our members' needs, we are exploring the possibility of increasing the floorspace upstairs in the future :) We’re glad that the recent improvements have helped to improve your experience, and we will continue to listen to feedback as we work toward further refining the gym and ensuring it remains a top-tier place to train. Fantastic experience: As every AF member knows, the key fob is your entrance to any AF club worldwide. Whenever we're on the road, I always look for the nearest AF club. This one is great. Clean. No odour of sweat. Spacious. Upstairs there's 2 large spaces for group classes or exercise in your zone. I certainly should make use of this AF opportunity to workout in such a big space, everyday while on holidays here

Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness Brunswick East is a fantastic gym!! All the staff and trainers are super friendly and take an interest in you no matter what fitness level you’re at. I really enjoy attending the group classes to mix up my workout. I’ve been going for a little bit and am already seeing a big change in my energy levels and body. It’s great! :)

Positive experience: Great gym but has gone downhill recently, wipes for wiping down equipment have been empty for weeks if not months, which makes you question cleanliness of the entire gym and the care factor of staff.
Negative experience: Not for me in the end. Started off ok when they opened, but officially way too many members and hectic energy vibes. Also not the best layout, especially upstairs.

Fantastic experience: Really close to my accomodation, I have mainly done courses these months and they have literally saved me as my motivation was very low most of the days. Thanks Nat and Jaqui for helping me get back to my weekly routine. You’ve been so good at pushing and pumping to start the day in a healthy way.

Fantastic experience: Great gym across all facets. The space is great with all the equipment you’d need and more. It has more classes than any AF I’ve been to and the instructors are attentive whilst creating a fun and high performing culture. I’ve never boxed in my life and instructor Nat made me feel like i’d been doing it for years.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing I really enjoy the space and the machines that this guys have plus all the trainers are always happy to help. I never thought i would get addicted to the clases but the trainers really work on creating a fun and caring atmosphere. Fantastic experience: The gym is spread across two floors with plenty of equipment and classes available. It's always kept clean and has a great atmosphere. They even offer a free body scan session per month and pizza! If I really had to find an "issue" it would be that it can get quite busy during peak hours, but aside from that, it's perfect. Overall, it's the best gym in the area by far!

Fantastic experience: If anyone is thinking about joining a gym - Anytime Brunswick East is the one you want to join. Having visited a few Anytime's in both Melbourne & Sydney - the Brunswick East studio is an absolute weapon with all that it offers for its members. Fitted out with the most state-of-the-art equipment, the gym is light-filled and oddly doesn't feel like your stereotypical gym. Dylan - The club manager really is a pioneer, setting the bar high for what gyms should be. He is charismatic, always up for a chat and really takes an interest in the AF community. The group classes are where I feel the most at home. Nat, Jill, & Jessie are iconic, talented and extremely motivating. A huge selling point for what I want out of my membership. WOw, this sounds like an Ad but it ain't. Great work guys! Killing it.

We had staff in operation on the day from 10-2 pm as per our staffed hours and the front door was unlocked so im unsure why you were unable to gain access. Fantastic experience: Such a great gym! It is spacious, a good vibe, and the manager Dylan really cares about the place and making sure people feel welcome. I did PT with Julia for the first six months which was awesome and a great way to learn and get comfortable. I also enjoy doing the classes now and then. Highly recommend. Managment (Dylan) is amazing and treats you like someone who is in there for a reason, not just to provide money toward the franchise. Cant believe its only a 2 minute run away!! Fantastic experience: Honestly a fantastic venue. I make an effort to check out as many gyms as I can. Although this one is not close home for me I will probably make the trip to this fantastic space from time to time. The place is incredibly open and has plenty of equipment. If there is something missing that you need I would be surprised. The staff are incredibly friendly and although I didn't opt for a trainer I watched a few trainers giving excellent attention to the members providing great advice, feedback and encouragement. One this is if this place gets bigger there is room for more equipment. Love it

Fantastic experience: I have joined many gyms before but never felt so welcomed and supported as I do here. With heaps of space and so much choice, all new and well maintained equipment. The group classes are second to none and have such a personal touch. Dylan is a legend of a manger always there to help with a friendly smile and encouraging words! Massive shout out to my PT Gary who in just over 2 month has helped me smash all my fitness and weight loss goals - dropped all the covid weight and feeling fitter than ever! - Thank you so much Gary! All in all a great place to train - 10/10 recommend

Fantastic experience: The most looked after getting I’ve ever been to and I feel very welcome every time I enter being greeted by all of the staff. These guys understand how to look after there members. All equipment is in good condition, never that crowded either.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this gym! Moved from Doncaster anytime to one of, if not the biggest, Anytime in Melbourne! The facilities are amazing but the customer service is top notch. Dylan the manager in particular remembers your name, has good conversations with every member and has a strong member first centric. Can't recommend enough :)

Fantastic experience: GYM HEAVEN! As someone who never saw themselves enjoying workouts at a gym... 5 months of Anytime Fitness Brunswick East and I'm HOOKED! Incredible clean and maintained facilities, amazing staff (special shoutout to Dylan the Owner/Manager and my two favourite PT's Alex & Julia) free awesome group classes with loads of variety... there really is something for everyone at this place. If you are looking to shake things up a bit and feel good about yourself I highly recommend you at least go for a visit and do a trial. Fantastic experience: My favourite gym to train at. Biggest Anytime Fitness Club in VICTORIA says it all. It is massive. Dylan & the team have done an amazing job getting this club up & running. All equipment is brand new which makes training at the club even more enjoyable. Friendly vibe & community feel. Love the group classes.

Fantastic experience: Without question the best training alternative in North Melbourne. Lots of weights and all the classes you could ask for sprawling over 1,000 sqm’s ! Large modern, clean and safe fit out. Staff are awesome with a great friendly culture. Couldn’t recommend Anytime Fitness Brunswick East anymore. Thrilled to have it in the area
