Fantastic experience: What enticed me to join, Snap Merrylands was it's no contract membership, a gym that has nothing to hide and wears it's heart on its sleeve, has no need to lock their clients in. The facility itself is a comfortable environment to workout in, no egoism among it's members. The equipment is very versatile with plenty of room for personal space training. Extremely clean and well maintained throughout the studio. I look forward for my daily fitness regime at Snap merrylands.

Positive experience: I have recently cancelled my membership. The gym has “strict” rules around no friends allowed and putting weights away, but there was never a time when the weights were where they were supposed to be, and regularly men who would be disrespectful of others in the gym space. I rarely felt comfortable to work out.
Negative experience: Make sure you read all documents before signing the contract, as there are hidden fees. The gym has many unpleasant smells, no dedicated space for cardio, and overall poor conditions.
Hi Samim, thank you for your feedback. We would be grateful if you could reach out to our staff to discuss the issues raised. Our memberships are month to month , so you only have to give 30 days notice to cancel. Other than any fees at signup, there are no other fees except your fortnightly membership payment. We have recently improved air extraction from the club and also installed a scent machine to keep the premises smelling fresh. The gym has had a makeover, with new flooring, lighting, painting, reception area etc. Would be great if you could contact us and come visit the club again.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend!! Friendly staff and personal trainer who always put the members first. Pricing is incredible compared to other gyms especially in this rough economy. Doesn’t get busy to the point you have to wait for certain machines and is a great community. If you are ever stuck on what gym you join then this would be the best option.

Positive experience: It's a pretty decent gym. Recently joined due to my previous gym just being a bit far from me since I've switched places. It surprisingly has really good machines for back, chest and legs. Cable machines are also great. However there are a few cons. - It is a bit congested, the gym doesn't let anyone "disrespect the club" but there are weight thrown around everywhere and no one has the motivation to put the weights back where they belong. Bars and equipment are placed in a large container instead of having a dedicated place for hanging them for later use, and the people who go there aren't very polite. And it is also very hard to find the right equipment that you need which wastes a lot of time unnecessarily. Other than that, i don't really have other issues. Can't really expect much for a gym in Merrylands. Staff are great, polite and respectful. I'm giving it a 3/5

We have ordered the ordered the part to fix this issue and the 2 aircons that are not operating will be fixed tomorrow on the 30/11/2023. We're apologies for the inconvenience. Positive experience: Not a bad gym it's good but the equipment is old. Nothing like the other snap fitness stores I have been too. It's old equipment but still not bad. The leg press machine seems to have made some noise for me which was a worry. and the elliptical machines are very old, I wish they had the new better ones. It's good for people who want to try the older machines. New ones at other stores way better! One other thing about this gym is parking is very bad to find a spot so I won't be coming here too much. I only come here because it's close to home but I will be going to the other gyms more then this one.
Hi Natasha, thank you for your review. We opened in July 2018 and have a full suite of Technogym equipment. In the fitness industry, Technogym is regarded as the best equipment available and it's still young in terms of service life. We also recently installed a new Hip Thrust Machine, a Rear Kick machine, Hack Squat and Olympic Bench Press. The cardio equipment will be upgraded in the next 6 months as the club is refreshed. The newer Snap Clubs have similar equipment, just the latest version. We have looked at the leg press machine and it just needed some lubricant. All of our equipment undergoes regular servicing by Technogym technicians. Parking is generally best along Burford St. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for training with Snap Fitness.

Negative experience: This is a poorly operated business. The gym claims to be staffed during certain hours of the day, however they are not. I attempted to call multiple times during business hours to obtain information about signing up, however the calls were not answered. I then decided to attend in-person. The desk was unattended and after attempting to ring the door bell a few times without success I just walked away. If the managers care about the success of their business, they need to firstly hire staff, then make sure their staff are actually doing their job. As someone who has been to many gyms in the past, I can confidently say that is appalling customer service.

Hi Jamil, we are sorry that you feel that way. We did try our hardest to keep you happy, but unfortunately your membership payments kept failing due to insufficient funds in the account. We cancelled your membership on the 16th of May and waived the notice period. We wish you all the best with your training.
Negative experience: Snap fitness in Merrylands is serviceable. You can never find the machine you want to work out on because some guy is hogging it. You can never find a vacant bench because some guy's towel's on it. For that reason I either can work out early morning or late at night.

Positive experience: Not a bad gym a lot of echo. Would recommend going for hammer strength plated equipment instead of technogym
Negative experience: Please add some biceps triceps machine because you dont have any of them opposite to anytime fitness they have triple machines than you and please just make sure that everyone gonna use bench press because a bunch of kids only do 24/7 bench press from 6 pm to 10 pm and there’s leakage too in gym please shift your gym because you charge a lot like anytime fitness but not worth that money like them.

I beleive with his efforts where he talks and gets involved with the members i find it has boosted the morale of memebers including myself to do the extra by putting the weights away and respecting the gym policies during this year during the covid period .i find this member very valuable as agood mornng from him goes a long way .a good man he is

Thank you for your feedback Aashish. The club manager answered your call and as explained on the phone, he was unable to understand you due to a strong accent. He requested that you sms him, which you did and the conversation was done more effectively that way. You requested to cancel your membership, however you didn't want to honour the 30 day notice period in your membership agreement. Our memberships are month to month agreements, so you aren't locked in to long term contracts like other gyms do. We simply require 30 days notice if you wish to cancel. This is explained when members joined and it is clearly stated in the membership agreement. We wish you all the best with your health and fitness goals.
Negative experience: Terrible customer service from a few staff, it's a take it or leave approach. Been lied to about contract. Owner: your manager was rude and was not clear on anything, but just shrugs ( this was when you can say i was upset) as if not to care. It's only been two weeks since I cancelled my membership, way inside the month, I was told I will be finalized and witch I will be charged.
Hi Bejay, I will provide some balanced information about your review. You were a former presales member who joined on a reduced rate. You chose to cancel your membership, however after some time you decided you wanted to join again. You were upset when the manager explained that you were not able to rejoin on the presales rate as that was only applicable for people who had joined before we opened. Whatever rate you join on, it stays the same as long as you remain a member. If you cancel your membership and then want to join again, your rate will be the current pricing. I hope that clarifies things.
Negative experience: I just made a call. 2:20pm Oct 22, 2019. I asked how much it would cost me if I join. After his answer, he said, “you have to come to the gym, man.” I would have wanted to ask a couple more questions but he sounded so unwilling on his first response. I didn’t plan to flood him with so many questions and 2-3 questions is reasonable. But he shut me off. A potential customer gone.

Fantastic experience: Having compared other options in Merrylands I decided on Snap and have absolutely no regrets. It's been great training with the ever-encouraging Lucky (and actually making progress!). Negative experience: Hello Business Owner, the guy at the reception was horrible with attitude and not a welcoming face. I was really keen to join and registered in your website and came to know more details but he was straight to point of making the payment. Please note there’s something else we need to know before making payment and I think he is not interested in telling any of those. Hi Vishal, our manager has given some insight into your visit to our gym. We pride ourselves on being the best equipped gym in Merrylands and having a very clean and friendly club. Our manager was unable to 'haggle' with you over price. You were offered a tour of the club to see and try the equipment, but you were only interested in the cheapest price you can get. Our competitors may offer a cheaper membership, but that also comes with inferior equipment and poorly maintained facilities. Our members love our club and I am sure had you taken the time to try out our equipment, you would have loved it too. We wish you all the best with your fitness journey.
Negative experience: So I was gym hunting at the time and decided to check this place out. When I showed up, the front reception was empty and I couldn't gain access. I buzzed the door a few times and decided to wait a little since I already made the trip and took forever to find parking. After 5 mins of waiting, some rude douchebag showed up, asked me what I wanted and if I was the one who kept buzzing.. Without even a simple greeting. The disrespect was an instant turnoff so I decided to walk away and take my business somewhere else. If the staff is that rude to potential new customers then makes you wonder how they treat their excisting ones. Good riddance

Negative experience: Charges customer in advanced before providing access to the gym. I was charged for 2 months for a service I did not receive, and they wouldn't refund money. Therefore, they deserve this negative feedback I had to bloke Snap Fitness from taking money from my bank account because they would not listen to me. I emailed numerous time to cancel my membership with them, but they said it takes one month to process (which is a BS because they want to deduct more money) Snap Fitness is a dishonest and disloyal gym. Shame on them
Hi Mustafa. Our billing is done fortnightly. I have looked at your account and your fortnightly payments continually failed from the 19/10/18 to the 30/11/18 due to no funds in the account. We had contacted you on many occasions during that time to discuss, but with no success. On the 6th December we had no option but to cancel your membership because you hadn't paid any membership fees since October. I hope this clarifies your review. Positive experience: The New Equipment they have is not what you find at most fitness centres so it takes are bit of getting use to. The major problem in this gym is people leave weights all over the place including the floor. Also on week days alot of young teens train after school and they are just all over the place so it's hard to workout around them.

There are not many gyms that spend as much as we do on high quality equipment. The biomechanics and ease of use are second to none. Larger gyms like Crunch may have a bigger footprint and dirt cheap pricing, but they operate on a volume based business model, which means they need thousands of members to be profitable. They end up being very crowded as a result. We position ourselves at a mid-range price, but offer state of the art Italian Technogym Equipment and 24/7 access. You'll find heaps of variety in our equipment and the biomechanics are second to none. We wish you all the best with your fitness goals.
