Negative experience: I hope the venue coordinators see this review and take it seriously & implement the simple, easy and instant changes available to them & I will happily change this to a 5 star rating. The gym is decent, staff are lovely, equipment & space pretty good, overall I like going here, it’s just lacking some important attention to detail that I deeply value and others would do well to care about also, since the whole point of a gym is for health and wellness, every aspect of its functioning should have that focus in mind. It is basic common knowledge now that tv/screen time is bad for children. However, some shows are far worse than others. Such things as fast flashing scenes, bright colours & adrenaline causing sounds create an effect like crack, yes like hard drugs, on our children, deeply negatively affecting their young minds and causing screen time addictions. Such shows for example like coco melon, something they regularly put on for the kids in the crèche. If they must have a tv in there at all, which I think should be removed as it has zero value for the benefit of children and under 2yo’s should never have any screen at all and they have under 2yo’s in there every day, they should at least consider only putting on child friendly educational shows that have long & slow scenes (no scene changes under 4 seconds) calming tones and sounds and story lines, earthy/dull/calming colours, and educational themes. Such shows are easily found by searching “low stim shows for kids”. Until this is done, unfortunately the value of this venue being a place for “health” is severely undermined by their lack of care for the most important guests here, the young minds of our future generation. Additionally the screens on the gym floor could use some attention to detail as well, perhaps screening relevant things to health such as fit athletes training, rather than stupid infomercials & even fast food advertisements & other such nonsense no one wants to see while training in a gym.

Fantastic experience: Really great facility with fabulous staff. Inclusive, friendly, motivating atmosphere. It doesn't matter what fitness level you are at - there is something for everyone. I LOVE the different classes available and the trainers are epic.

Fantastic experience: Been a member since they opened, crèche , trainers and classs instructor staff are always welcoming! Machines and seats are serviced/replaced when needed! Been to a few gyms in the past where machines make loud noises and have big ripped/cracks seats and can confirm Doylo is not like that! Well looked after however wish they had a permanent steam room/sauna. 5 stars for me :)

Fantastic experience: As a lazy couch potato, going to a gym was my worst nightmare. However Active Fitness has changed my mind and my body. I now look forward to going to the gym.

Fantastic experience: A fun friendly place! I recently moved to Buff Point from Sydney looking for a near by gym with the opportunity for child minding and this place is great! The staff are all so lovely and accommodating… Plus all the classes are entertaining and a great way to meet new people and be apart of your community. The girls in the creche are very nurturing and caring too… So glad I found this place

Fantastic experience: Been at AFHQ since 2016. Started as an absolute beginner and Never once felt like I didn’t belong. The AFHQ team supported me when I had my accident, from pausing my membership without question or cost, to messages of support and encouragement. From the hospital bed right up to me returning full time to my training 2.5yrs post accident, I still feel the same support and encouragement. Really grateful to be apart of such a positive environment and community that AFHQ have created. Thanks Team

Fantastic experience: I moved to this gym and absolutely love it here. Huge space with so many different fitness zones (group rooms, cardio, weights, free weights, core/stretching and an outdoor area). The gym is clean, the amenities are well kept, the lockers are a nice touch and the equipment is all modern. Best switch I ever made! The staff are so nice and the whole vibe of the gym is welcoming. Absolutely love this place

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of active fitness since the gym opened and I absolutely love it ! It gained my confidence to train by myself. I love the classes and all the PTs and staff are so encouraging, non judgemental and knowledgeable. I now bring both my kids to the crèche and they love it. The crèche staff are so hands on.

Fantastic experience: Love the feeling of walking into a gym and not being judged by your size. Everyone is on their own journey. Everyone one I’ve come across is really friendly. The staff are brilliant and accommodating but most of all the friends you make is fantastic. Everyone helps and encourages each other. It’s a fantastic gym to be a part of

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff great team

Negative experience: Membership is dodgy. You must “let them know” 30 days before you want to cancel which they never tell you to begin with. They told me I would be charged x amount on this date and x amount on this date before my membership was cancelled yet they took more than the amount they specified. For a big business that’s linked to a reputable club, they sure know how to rip you off. Just be super mindful when starting a membership with them, or better yet just don’t. Also their classes are at super inconvenient times for those who work a typical 9-5pm especially the morning ones. I mainly signed up for the classes and was disappointed.

Negative experience: I just got to the gym and I've been informed that it's closed. I thought this was a 24/7 gym? That's the service I'm paying for. I'll be expecting a refund and I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Very sad

Positive experience: Its a good gym, but it needs a deadlifting platform, and some bigger dumbbells then 50kg.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Plenty of classes and room for activities indoor and out. Lots of good members as they appear to be curious and friendly. Equipment has been rearranged for COVID purposes giving plenty of room to exercise. Staff are friendly and welcoming and equiptment is all up to date.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Great bright atmosphere. Antibacterial spray and wipes everywhere with all gym goers practicing good hygiene wiping equipment after use. Water bubbler taste like chlorine though if your used to filtered water take your own. Timing is important too as it can get very busy early morning and evenings. Around 11am seems less populated. Overall great gym.

Positive experience: Hi the gym has amazing facilities, staff and is open 24hrs. I would really love it if this gym expanded, especially for the local communities all around that would embrace an indoor pool and possible hydro pool, and a massive water play area for children, I know Im dreaming but this would make it amazing access to a spa snd sauna plus a wellness centre onsite, if anything the doyalson club could support it and this would also create many employment opportunities as well :) they do an a great job with the quality of service, we just got to up the facilities to first class!

The reception staff and trainers are so lovely , helpful and incredibly knowledgeable . , Caz, Mikeala,Helen, Hayley , Ren, Jen,Kylie and the boys of course!!! You encourage us in the nicest way which makes you feel like you can achieve anything! I always feel great after I have worked out with you all. Negative experience: Nice facility but their membership arrangements were ridiculous. They won't let you do your own direct credit payment, saying that their payment system only accept direct debit from credit cards. Obviously very poor financial management or staff are not trustworthy.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. Excellent choice of equipment & the variety of class choice amazing. What is the best is the level of expertise of the instructors leading the classes. Very impressed. It is also wonderful to see so many attendees who are over 60 & 70. That really makes me smile!
