Negative experience: Hi, I would like to lodge a formal complaint for a very rude, humiliating and obnoxious behaviour by one of your staff member that I encountered yesterday. This was an elderly staff member who refused to let me in even to the office as my access was not working. She said its likely due to overdue of payment which I courteously and politely told her that I’m happy to pay immediately at the office. However, she insisted that I make the payment while I stayed outside. Even after telling her multiple times that it is really rude and I'm not happy about this experience given that I have been a member of the gym for over 2 years now she failed to show even a basic decency that any business must show to their customers. Had it been limited to me standing outside to make the payment which I did, I still wont have raised a complaint. However, the fact that she showed the audacity to further humiliate by telling me when I told her that I feel humiliated and do not want to enter the gym that you need to pay your overdue the next time loud enough for others in the gym to listen. I do not think I could let that go easily. The fact that she said it after I made the payment shows how little you as a business care for your customers. She was obnoxious prson who is unfit to serve in the service industry. This incident had occurred in the morning yesterday. I have a very simple question to ask has it been a new joinee would he too been asked to wait at doors till the online payment isn't made? Would he too be told that you can't even enter the reception area?
Hello Aditya, Thank you for your feedback however the situation may have been misunderstood by yourself. I have been made aware of the remarks made by both of you to each other in regard to the situation and understand that there are two sides to each story. When the staff member realised that your payments were overdue, she said she was showing you how to use the new Member's Portal to pay your outstanding payment so that your access would work on the door system. This way you would know for next time how to access the gym when the staff were not onsite, and your membership had been disabled. Understandably, you could have come to the gym counter but there was no need in this case as members are now able to pay their arrears at anytime, anywhere through the Member's Portal.

Negative experience: These people withdrew money from my account without permission. I was unaware of their policy regarding entry, even though my friend is a member, and his card wasn’t working at the time. It only happened once, yet they claimed it occurred “multiple times” when it didn’t—it was just once. I’d love to see some security footage for that. Such liars. Even after he proved that he’s a Plus Fitness member, entered once, and that his card was simply malfunctioning, they still refused to return my $250. I found out that this isn’t the first time they do this to their members. This is an absolute disgrace, Plus Fitness 24/7 Westmead.
Hi Mohamad, As outlined to you when you started at Plus Fitness Carramar, the gyms take our security very seriously. On 12/08/2024 at 9.37pm, you purposely let your friend is as he did use any access on the gym door. You were issued a warning for doing this at the Plus Fitness Westmead gym however you repeated the same process by letting your friend in a second time only 12 days later on 23/08/2024 at 9.40pm. He did not use any access on the door again. We need to ensure that everyone uses the correct access procedures for the gym. Breach clauses are outlined for you in the Membership Agreement that you signed.
Fantastic experience: Arda structures the exercises in each session in a systematic way that leads to the progression of your personal fitness goals. Arda also supplements workouts with nutritional guidelines and recipes regularly emailed to each client which provides a more holistic approach to achieving one’s targets. I’d highly recommend Arda as a highly knowledgeable and well rounded personal trainer.

Negative experience: In terms of customers, this is one of the worst Plus Fitness branches and I've been to a few. So many guys not using towels, so many people not using deodorant (basic hygiene) and also leaving weights on after they finish their sets. It's not hard to enforce these rules with a simple warning text message and potentially banning repeat offenders. I was a regular at Arndell Park branch and the rules were enforced properly by the staff, which I always appreciated. Management needs to be more strict and kick people out if need be.
Hi Ozan, The staff are not onsite on Saturday afternoons. You visited at that time. We have signs up and ask that members use their towels. We supply deodorant for members to use. We also expect members to use the sanitiser wipes on each piece of equipment before and after each exercise. We noticed that you did not wipe down the equipment with the wipes while you were at the gym on that day. We remind members of all these requirements on a regular basis as part of our cleaning regime.
Fantastic experience: Arda is handsdown the best trainer i’ve had in years! Have been a client for more than 3 years and I have seen a lot of improvement in my strength and fitness. Negative experience: Disclaimer: This rating is not addressed to the gym but the members. It was a disgrace to train here today with used wipes all over the floor/ equipment and machines. Dumbbells, barbells and weight laying around everywhere that I had to watch my steps. You guys are on camera and I hope that the manager will follow this up!
Hello KY. Of course, we always check the footage. We would hope that members put their weights away and their rubbish in the bin - safety and hygiene are some of the most important things within a gym and we thank you for the heaps up. We do need members looking after the gym and equipment. We would also hope that people could approach the club directly for any matters like this instead of giving the CLUB a one star review, in the hope that other members will feel bad. We are unable to see any members with your initials or name in the gym at around 9am this morning - we are unstaffed on Sundays. The staff visit on Sundays to check on these types of things but, unfortunately, we are unable to be here 24 hours a day to keep an eye on everyone. We will check further into which members left the weights out.
Positive experience: Pretty good equipment, severely lacking on the power cage front though. The newer plus fitnesses have power cages, so I would really love it if this location had 2-5 power cages. Cheers. Oh, and an incline barbell bench press station would be good too!

Negative experience: This is worst plus gym place that I ever came across This place not even deserves 1 star for star rating you have to earn it by good customer service, owner of this gym threaten me by giving timeline to remove my review from their website which is my right to disclose how I felt after their staff treating in bad ways and raising their voice on me instead accepting their mistakes and ask for apology one of their staff provided me wrong info We been membership of this franchise gym for so many years but westmead gym is nightmare They Don't know how to talk with customers, they raise their voice to cover their mistakes not enough place for gym exercise, not enough equipments, staff needs professional training .careful they will deceive you with fees that you don't owe them me and my all friends from this westmead plus fitness quitting membership it's trap they will tell you something upfront and at the end they will change their statements at time of paying be very careful with them
Hello Babit, We are disappointed in your attempt to berate and denigrate our business by leaving this one star review. You have not attended the gym once to use the gym, as you are not a member. You have visited the gym when your husband joined and we went thoroughly through all the terms and conditions for the gym membership including outlining the 30 days notice required when cancelling a "no lock in" membership. You also visited the gym last week and were yelling over my staff (and screaming that they were idiots) while they were explaining why there were the final payments to be made when cancelling, your yelling causing a greater scene. So much so that current members were coming to the counter to see if the staff were alright after your husband had ushered you out of the door. Prior to anyone joining the gym, we outline in detail all of the terms and conditions to our prospective members so that are very clear on their requirements of their membership. After one of your husband's debits failed, we called him 5 times, SMS’d him 6 times and emailed 3 times over 7 days to attempt to ensure that he was able to pay the outstanding arrears payment before the next payment was to be debited. All of these attempted contacts were ignored. The emails had been set up as your email and we did not have any response to these either. There is no trap with any gym membership. Members do need to be aware of the terms and conditions and how they affect them during or at the end of their membership. I urge members to understand the Membership Agreement they are signing before they start at the gym.

Hi Uday, Thank you for your 4 star review. We would love to arrange "taught" classes however council believes we will be louder than the road noise so unable to have these until they see sense. We do have the Classes on Demand system where you can pick from a range of lots of different classes virtually at any time of the day. Classes like Pilates, cycling, yoga, high intensity, abdominals, dancing - all the classes that you would ever need in one place. Give them a try! See you very soon.
Negative experience: I visited the Westmead Branch today with the intention of exploring the gym during staff hours. I arrived 10 minutes before 7 pm, as indicated on the board outside. Unfortunately, my initial interaction with the trainer at the door left much to be desired. The trainer did not come across as friendly or particularly interested in assisting me. Instead, he seemed eager to brush me off and suggested I come back tomorrow. I pointed out that the posted hours were until 7 pm, emphasizing my effort to arrive before the staff left for the day. In response, he offered excuses about needing to attend to some work. It was disappointing to encounter resistance when all I wanted was a brief look at the available equipment. It's hard to comprehend why a quick walk around for a couple of minutes was met with such reluctance. This initial interaction left me questioning the overall attitude and professionalism of the staff at this branch. Given the trainer's lack of enthusiasm and unhelpful demeanor during my attempt for the intake visit, I've decided not to join the Westmead Branch. If this is indicative of the overall behaviour of the staff, I am hesitant to expect a positive and supportive environment for members. Hopefully the management does take some interest in training the Team. Note: This review specifically pertains to my experience at the Westmead Branch, and I cannot speak for the other branches as I have not visited them.
Hello Blaise, I apologise for your disappointment in my staff member. When we are open during the stated staffed hours, I would expect that any type of query would be answered up until the closing time and I have spoken to the relevant staff member about this. It does take some time to complete paperwork, show people around the gym and explain how the promotion works along with the ongoing pricing. I am hoping that you would head into the gym again to get started on your fitness journey.
Fantastic experience: I have to say this is by far one of the best Plus fitness gym I have ever seen. The standards of cleanliness and maintenance are very high. Staff is very attentive, active and polite. All the equipments are new and very clean. Even the members who visit this gym clearly have demonstrated a good attitude and gym etiquettes. Toilets and shower areas are also really nice

Have been going to this branch of PF for over a year and a half now and a gym couldn’t get better than this! Very friendly staff and great equipments. Fantastic experience: Arda is a fantastic personal trainer. She has a knack of identifying one's strengths and weaknesses, and has helped me with a program which is suited to my body type. I have been training with her for 4 years now. I have definitely gotten fitter and stronger with her training programs

Positive experience: Great gym, lovely staff, awesome parking and other facilities. Just giving 3 stars as people taking off their tshirt even in the pick hours. We get warning msgs if we forget to put towels while exercising but these ppl should get warning for taking their clothes off frequently. Hope the friendly staff ll take action. Negative experience: Looting money for 2 weeks even if I asked them to cancel. Arrogant staff here.i did not even tell TODAY that I am going overseas but they have put that as a reason in cancellation request form. I told them on july 12th itself that I am going overseas and they asked me to come between 9th and 23th to cancel. I went today and they are saying you should have come before 10th and they will take the payment till 6th September.
Hello Kishore, We can see from our notes that you visited the club on 12/7/23 to ask about cancelling as you were going overseas on 22/8/23. Our notes show that the staff member that spoke to you let you know that you would need to visit the club between 28/7/23 and on or before 9/8/23 to allow for your final payment on 10/8/23, for your membership to expire on 23/8/23. We believe you have muddled up the dates. We sent you an email on that day to outline the correct procedure. Under your Agreement, there is one final payment to be made after signing the Cancellation form in the club.

Negative experience: Poor customer services
Hello Ajay, Unfortunately, your one-star review is unjustified. When you called the gym tonight, I was letting you know that you had signed a "no lock in contract" Agreement with a two weeks notice with one final payment to be made when signing the Cancellation form at the club. This is the shortest possible time of any gym to be able to cancel a membership. We will be able to update you membership as cancelled with no further payments once the Cancellation form as been signed.
Fantastic experience: All the staff I have spoken with at this gym have been nothing short of professional, kind, and helpful. Being a gym novice, I had a LOT of questions before I signed up and the person who looked after me was very patient and answered each one thoroughly (thank you!). The fitness trainer is fantastic, kind and so helpful in explaining the different exercises and how to use the machines and answering all my other questions lol. I was also provided with a fitness plan to get started (thank you!). Service with a smile is a real thing here which is lovely. This is such a great gym and is always clean and has many good machines as well. All in all, I feel very comfortable at this gym and am getting more confident being there and focussing on my workouts. So happy I joined! Thank you team

Negative experience: So disgusted, how they handled my situation during COVID sent emails to advise them, why I couldn't make payments at that time, with my 2 minor kids who I signed up with me. I just received a letter from Credit people advising money, how dare you put my kids name through, the credit agency when they are just starting there lives. This will effect there credit rating. When I should have taken the responsibility not them. Poor customer service not professional they know nothing about compassion
Hi Agnes, During the COVID shutdowns, Plus Fitness did not charge any membership fees unlike other gyms - we have a FREE timehold for our members. At all times prior, during and after the COVID shutdowns we were professional and attempted to assist you in updating your payments and talking to you about cancelling the memberships for you and your children and on each occasion you let us know that you would like all three of you to continue at the gym given the physical and emotional benefits of exercise. You and your children even re-joined when we were recommending against it. Your memberships were the no lock-in contract type where you can cancel at any time by visiting the gym and signing the Cancellation form and just making the one final payment with the minimum two weeks notice. You did not wish to do this and did not at any time complete the Cancellation forms. The overdue amounts have been outstanding for sometime and no partial payments have been made. Please make a payment plan with the collectors to pay these amounts down - they were all payments that you had signed to commit to so please show your commitment to do this for us.

Negative experience: Some Ait Condition units goes out of order on and off. It's been going on for last almost 2 years. Even after so many complaints, as of now still the same. I am writing this from inside the Gym now, and the Air Conditioning Units of the entire free weight section is off now.
Thank you Faizur, We spoke the other day just before Christmas (face to face) about your concerns with the air-conditioning and we let you know that we would be contacting the air-con company in the New Year, which is next week. We have been trying to test the air-con on different settings to try to replicate the ongoing issues that seem to be happening with the air-conditioner when you are in the gym but to no avail, so will ask them to look into this as soon as they return to work. In any case, the last few weeks have been VERY hot and any air-con will struggle in this situation. We always make things right at the gym as soon as we are made aware of them however the air-con is something that has been evasive until now. Hopefully, they will be able to sort it out.

Positive experience: A gym good enough for beginners, I would love if you can really do these things below, When I joined I was told there will be accessories like gym belts available for use in gym. I haven't seen it once since I joined, not your fault might be stolen or something. Please try to re-add. The benches with the angle are not sturdy they are weird shaped I don't like the footrest. They should be plain simple ones. Please try to add atleast one of those instead since it's required. Some machines are missing instructions and I like to see variations on a machine like your barbell machine doesn't have any instructions. Add a boxing bag for us and a shoulder machine, for shoulder lateral raises. Those would be a great edition. Otherwise a good gym for someone to spend the first 1-2 years in

Fantastic experience: Great gym! Staff are very accommodating, the hygiene protocols are on point with copious amounts of wipes, & hand sanitizer. Does get a bit packed after work hours. However, people are very courteous and you get the equipment you want quickly enough.

Hello Gopala, As clarified with you over the phone last night and by text today, when members visit the gym they need to follow the requirements for gym use - using their access card for security reasons and bringing a towel for hygiene. Please bring these with you on each visit. These are standard conditions for any gym that are looking after the health and safety of their members.

It is not hard to cancel a membership with Plus Fitness. Just a quick visit to the club to sign the cancellation form. Daniela, you called the gym to request to cancel and we outlined the procedure - YOU made it difficult as you did not follow the simple directions we gave. Please do not give reviews that are not trueful.

Hi, We were wondering about your comment on the updating of the gym as we opened in Jan 2020 and were just getting set up when the world went into lockdown for three months - so basically 1 year old. The pin-loaded equipment is dual-use so that we can keep the gym compact. All exercises can be performed within the gym with the equipment that we have - the Fitness Assessments with the PT are included in the memberships so you should book in to check with them if you are unaware of what equipment you should use for your exercise regime.

Hi Farid, appreciate your comments, I guess most gyms will be busy after 5pm, that's just when the majority of people have the time to attend after work.

Negative experience: They are ripping off people; although they advertised that there is no lock in contract, and is only two weeks notice period but there is a clause in a contract which says one final payment, which means that they ask you to pay for another two weeks if if you had one month advance payment.
Your membership paperwork clearly shows one final payment in the club when cancelling, and it is clearly explaining in the club when joining. Just because you don’t like the answer does not mean we are at fault.
Negative experience: Very bad customer service. Some negatives are generic to plus fitness and some are specific to this facility. 1. You can't phone in (or email) and cancel (or defer) your membership. I was pregnant and had to visit the facility in person to cancel when I was having vomiting many times daily. In this era when you can do phone banking why can't you cancel gym membership via phone/email!? No clue. 2. The staff in this facility does not fully know the plus fitness rules itself. Asked me 2 weeks further payments to cancel when I was medically unfit. Had to show them the rules from plus fitness online terms and conditions. 3. The access card wasn't working for a week and didn't get great support on fixing soon enough. Not good.
Hi Family, the cancellation procedures are from Plus Fitness Head Office. They are fully explained to all members on joining, we have one of the shortest notice to cancel periods of any gym. We did place your membership on hold automatically until you were able to attend an cancel, so unfortunately I am not accepting bad customer service, when you simply did not want to follow our cancellation process.
Negative experience: Another site same brand had 14 day trial.. rang to see if this site offered a trial before signing up - nope.. just one session. Its hard to judge a gym and club location unless you go during the different times/days you would as a member.. Update response to the reply: Clearly your response shows what kind of mentality/attitude you have towards members. Word of mouth counts for a lot
All sites are different and not all sites have the same offer. If you were to visit Westmead you would see for your self. A high number of our Google reviews are good.
