Fantastic experience: World Gym Bayside is hands down the best gym in the area! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a clean, modern facility and an incredibly welcoming atmosphere. The equipment is top-notch and always well-maintained, catering to every fitness level and workout style. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about helping members reach their goals. Whether you're into weights, cardio, group classes, or personal training, this gym has it all. The community vibe here is unbeatable—everyone is supportive and respectful, making it a great place to push yourself without feeling intimidated. The extended hours and convenient location are just the cherry on top. If you're looking for a gym that ticks all the boxes, World Gym Bayside is the place to be.

Fantastic experience: I go later at night to avoid peak times

Negative experience: I am deeply disappointed by the recent decision of this gym to discontinue their group fitness and creche services, as it has resulted in the division of a once strong community. The elimination of these vital services appears to prioritise the needs of individuals who can train independently, neglecting the significant support required by parents. This decision reflects poorly on the gym's commitment to serving all members of its community. I cannot recommend it in good conscience.

Negative experience: Equipment always broken, mould in the ceiling., machines and gym floor are never cleaned properly , one drink fountain that works , The men's toilets are putred and desperately need work done. The manager is a man hater and a liar .

Negative experience: I agree with the other reviews. This gym is a health hazard. The toilets and showers are filthy and foul-smelling. Every corner of this gym used to be super dusty and dirty (seems they hired some cleaners recently and it's getting better which is good). However, I still feel disgusted every time I have to use toilets after a workout. They need to install exhaust fans in the toilets. Most stationary bikes and cardio machines are broken. Unfortunately to cancel my membership there is hefty cancellation fee. It’s like being trapped in a dungeon with no escape. This is an outrage and unacceptable. Please respect peoples health and hard earned money and do something about these problems. Genrally I hate to leave bad reviews but sometimes I have to, but if I see these problems fixed in a reasonable time, I will change or delete this review. I hope the gym owner/manager reads my review.

Positive experience: I love this gym. You can really get it done here. Good range of machines and weights. All body types, ages and experience levels. Been here over a year and it really suits me for a good workout. Just started doing the classes and wish I’d gotten into them earlier as they’re really accelerating my progress.

Negative experience: As a Gold member of World Gym, I must express my deep disappointment with the current state of the Bayside facility. It's evident that the gym has fallen into a state of neglect, with outdated equipment and a layout that lacks coherence. The haphazard arrangement of equipment, from mixed cardio scattered throughout the workout area to a disjointed leg day section behind reception, reflects a lack of consideration for members' needs. As well as General OH & S. Despite being a loyal member paying premium fees, I feel let down by the apparent disregard for maintaining a competitive standard across World Gym locations. The gym's condition does not reflect the level of investment expected from a reputable franchise, and it's disheartening to see resources seemingly mismanaged. The need for a complete overhaul is apparent, and relocation to a more suitable area, there are multiple empty warehouses within Capalaba, that would offer the opportunity to create a modern fitness hub tailored to the needs of Bayside residents. With the growing interest in power-lifting and bodybuilding, there is a clear opportunity to establish a top-tier facility that caters to these communities. Get rid of Crossfit and the HIT Classes- there are so many gyms that offer this, and World Gyms (excluding MT Gravatt) seem to focus their gyms around this. Personally i'd love to see just a basic Weight lifting and movement focuses Worlds Gym. Give me a call i'd love to discuss more ideas on how World Gym could really change the game on the Bayside for big gyms. Furthermore, the inadequate cardio section, with low ceilings that hinder usability, forced me to seek alternative gym memberships elsewhere. It's unacceptable for members to encounter such limitations in a facility they pay to access. E.g. Headroom. I urge the franchise owner to take decisive action to address these concerns and allocate resources towards revitalizing World Gym Bayside. The commitment and care demonstrated at other franchise locations should serve as a benchmark for improvement. It's time for Bayside Gym to receive the attention and investment it deserves. Sincerely, all the people paying their hard earned cash to use the gym.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in the Redland’s Has a wide range of machines & free weights, clean amenities, very friendly and welcoming staff, flawless crèche staff who are very warm and attentive to each child (very reasonably priced too) & all-round friendly vibe and considerate/supportive members. Creche staff are trustworthy and amazing with kids. They also offer a lot of times for working parents to workout before and after work. Have been at world gym bayside for 4 years and love it here!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to bayside worlds gym for close to 4 years. The child minding facilities are amazing with a large variety of sessions over 6 days to choose from. I get to come and know my children are safe and happy whilst having a workout. Even having some relaxation time in the sauna if I choose. Thanks worlds Bayside. X

Negative experience: Can you guys renovate or build a new location? This location is a complete joke compared to the other 4+ I've been to. Old, worn, dirty equipment. The women's bathrooms are an actual joke. Comparing to the Mt Gravatt, Springwood, Stafford, and Brendale location, this place is appalling. Not to mention how tiny the place is, everyone is crammed together with barely enough equipment.

Fantastic experience: Prior to my first visit, I needed to make some enquiries and get information on membership types and prices. I called ahead and had the pleasure of speaking to Lara. 5 star customer service! She was very friendly and helpful with all my enquiries, as well as very patient taking the time to answer and satisfy my questions and enquiries. I haven't even stepped foot inside the gym yet and I'm already impressed!! :)

Negative experience: I wish I could give this gym zero stars. It is the most disgusting and unhygienic place I have ever been to. The equipment is avarage, the locker rooms and showers are smelly (no fans or ventilationat all), and the windows, ceiling and airconditions are covered in mould. I felt sick after working out there and had to throw away my clothes. The staff are nice but unhelpful because it seems they are worried to bringvthis up to the owners attention and asked me to talk to the manager and owner directly. Seems the owner/manager don't care about the health and safety of their customers and staff. I asked the staff to cancell my membership but they asked $200 cancellation fee and 4 weeks notice which is $280 each person and we are a family of three here so they want to penalise me for $840. Do yourself a favour and avoid this gym at all costs. It is a health hazard and a waste of money.

Fantastic experience: Love the place

Positive experience: I had a trial last night on my travel pass as I usually work out at the north lakes World gym. Staff were nice, gym is small, equipment is older, a few machines were broken, there is no place to stretch which I found challenging, it was fairly clean. Your basic needs are covered here. It’s pretty no frills.

Negative experience: My husband and I I've been long time members, since the opening. The only keeping us there is the cheap contract we have. The gym has gone down hill , equipment often not working ( out of order signs) and very few members putting away their weights. The staff doesn't care about that. I find it challenging having to unload massive weights machine after machine, all the time. Gym etiquette is defintely not upheld in this centre.

Negative experience: Absolutely money hungry gym!!! Disgusted with how they just take money and do not show any sympathy with personal situations!

Negative experience: This Gym is of Extremely poor quality read my other review as well, they refused to show Gym equipment during the interview in which I inquired about Rowing equipment which they claim they had ' but they may have added after I left'. They will charge you above standard for cancelation $200+AUD. They also deny you the ability to cancel before the cooling off period. The main Manager Is rude and will refuse your services when your standing right there. Never sign to this gym. There many other Gyms in the Redlands that are better than this atrocious excuse for a gym. Listen to Arnold become a gigachad today.

Negative experience: I should have listen to the terminator AKA Arnold Schwarzenegger, saying this gym franchise has gone downhill (look it up). The company does not respect your health, it's fair too tell you its missing basic gym equipment like Rowing machines and the staff have a poor attitude. They will try too sell you a protein shake at the door or ask you is they have friends who want to sign up (so they can make more quick cash). The Gym is not covid safe, and the staff are the most rude staff I've ever meet at a gym, in my entire life. FML how are you missing a rowing machines, its so basic..... If you google it say the cancel fee (world gym cancel membership fee) its says $75.00, Its not its $200. This place is a rip off, try elsewhere even if it costs more at least it gives you human respect.

Negative experience: After signing up with some promo people who walked through my business, they proceeded to take $700 off me over 15 months despite the fact that I did not visit their facility ONE SINGLE TIME. They even ignored Office of Fair Trading advice to refund/resolve. Stay away.

Fantastic experience: It may be small but it has the right machines for everything. The staff are great and easy to talk to. If your looking for a trainer they are on hand most days. The people that go are all easy going no riff rafts if you know what I mean. It is really busy between 3-6 but everyone is happy to work in with you if you ask.

Negative experience: Its a plausible gym at best with a horrible bathroom! seriously guys... fix it. The bench presses are the worst with only two fixed height settings and the narrowest bench ever which gives no stability at all when pressing heavy. All the Barbells are super old with no knurling at all. I recommend the managers of this gym visit World Gym in Mount Gravatt to see what a modern facility looks like. Avoid this gym if you are a powerlifter and look elsewhere that has better and safer equipment.
