Negative experience: My partner was keen to join and submitted an enquiry a week ago but has since been contacted by a total of 27 phone calls, including 7x today alone. To try and engage one or twice, I totally understand, but this is borderline stalking. Understandably, he is no longer interested and will look elsewhere.
Negative experience: The toilet is always dirty everytime I go in the gym. Today was extra dirty. Even the weights area smelled like urine for some reason. For a gym that is more expensive than others, much stricter with rules, but with smaller gym area, cannot afford to hire a staff to clean. Also, i do not understand how some members are messy when using the toilet.
Positive experience: It's quite good. I don't mind this gym. Some or the machines are a bit old but that's okay. Good place to train.
Positive experience: Tiny gym, no equipment during popular time. Convenient location and the price matches the demand, no complaints there. But 4 weeks notice period to cancel is a bit scummy
Fantastic experience: During the day is not too busy which I like.
Negative experience: Used to be decent. Today I realised the poor shape of the equipment, the lat pull down leg pads fall right off the bars now, pretty poor. I was going to rate it a 3 until I noticed the state of the bathroom. Mouldy photo attached.
Negative experience: "Horrible customer service from Hornsby. They were friendly and responsive when I first joined, but when i cancel, they completely ignored my emails for over a week. When I went in person, he was unhelpful, claiming they couldn't do anything and that all their policies were set. They didn't even notify me about the 30-day notice period. He didn’t listen to customers at all and do whatever he wants. The worst customer service experience I've ever had."
Negative experience: REPEATED UNAUTHORISED CHARGES & Terrible Customer Service. Despite pausing my membership, I was continually charged with no resolution from their end. When I finally terminated my membership due to these ongoing issues—charges still continue to appear on my card TWO MONTHS post-cancellation. Despite Club Manager Lachlan confirming both the pause and termination, the problem was never resolved internally. The situation became impossible to resolve directly with their staff, forcing me to dispute the charges with my bank to stop the ongoing deductions. Staff was very unresponsive and unhelpful throughout the process. Gym is small, lacking equipment & always has things broken.
Negative experience: Absolutely terrible customer service from the gym including the Club Manager Lachlan. I wanted to pause my membership because I was going overseas for an emergency at the start of February, and I called them over 10 times, texted their numbers over 15 times, Instagram messaged and DMed them and got completely ghosted for over a month. (how is this possible when there are workers everyday?!) During this time I was still getting charged and had to repeatedly try and contact them even though I was overseas... When they finally replied (ONE MONTH LATER) , they told me they were sorry and Lachlan said "Apologies for the delayed response. I have rectified your original freeze request." Then SIX DAYS LATER I GET A $119.50 CHARGE and a $7.50 charge for "missed payment" even though I have supposedly paused my membership for a whole month already. I tried to call about this again, no pickup. I was very confused why they never once picked up my calls - when it was always staffed hours. So I tried to use someone elses number and they picked up INSTANTLY. (Even though I called just before that, and in total I've called ~20 times and not once they've picked up or returned my call). Call it a coincidence or not ... Absolutely unbelievable service and a huge waste of my time trying to get my gym to do something as basic as pause a membership. If can be avoided, DO NOT MAKE THIS YOUR HOME GYM..

Negative experience: There used to be a broken scale and now that’s not even working, it’s all the while other clubs (Anytime) have InBodyScan! And now the cable pulldown knee rest is broken. Dear club manager, if you see there are so many negative comments, it doesn’t necessarily mean people are ungrateful or have personal problems with you. But it rather means they pay an amount for their membership for something in return and it’s their only option in their vicinity, but you don’t bother taking the responsibility of maintaining a proper gym. Please get your act together!

Negative experience: Stay away from this gym and its management. They hired a crook who sold me an “illegal membership” in their own words and now throwing their T and C in my face. Still battling out for a just compensation.
Positive experience: Alright local gym - vending machine is garbage if you're after a quick pick me up as it doesn't work or is ever stocked - small but there's an extension which has been in the works for a while. Rotisserie door for staff, I've been going there for five years so I've seen a fair few faces, overall it's alright, serves its purpose.

No real dedicated stretch/area. Very little realestate for viewing mirrors. Does have good range of machines and weights. Convenient parking around back.
Positive experience: A little small but has what you need. No hip adductors or hacksquat. 2x squat racks plenty of benches. 2x cables and assorted weighted machines. Dumbells to 50kg. Standard cardio machines.
Fantastic experience: I've been having a great time as a member of this gym! During staffed hours, the staff are friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. The environment is kept clean with amenities tidy and organized. It's never been too busy during my visits in the late morning, with only a handful of members during that time. Personal training is offered here as an option as well, which has been a nice experience to take part in. Overall, it's a nice and inviting environment to work out in!
Negative experience: Bad Impression to me. I joined this fitness and for some reason to travel overseas, I had to cancel it. After 6 months today, I see some deductions in my bank account from them. Without notifying me, how can they direct debit my account? On phone conversation, they say the cancellation policy for 1 months upfront payment. This is really ridiculous. Dont go this gym. Dont recommend.
Fantastic experience: Girl at the front desk greeted us very nicely. We were visiting from another gym and just passing through the area for a quick workout before lunch. Not sure of her name I think it’s Jess. She was very polite and helpful. Equipment in this gym is great too. Well done team

Negative experience: Unfortunately underwhelming. Sure, it’s convenient send accessible. However, with broken equipment and an argumentative manager who insists on being right, I’ve gradually become uncomfortable. I since cancelled my longstanding membership with AF and gone to a more expensive gym with less convenient hours but with good customer treatment. I abstained from a single star because of the positive moments over the years.
Negative experience: The equipment available is way too limited for how crowded it gets in the evenings so be prepared to wait a very long time to use anything you need, and how hard is it to have more than one set of bumper plates? Recently the leg extension machine was out of order for a MONTH. The other gym I go to is marketed as a more boutique gym and everything is much newer for pretty much the same membership fee which is such a joke. I go here purely for the convenience of it being so close to home but the management at this place is sooo slack it’s gross.
Negative experience: I have been charged multiple times and on speaking they are always investigating with their debit team. Its been more than 20 days now and today again they tried charging. I am not able to use my bank account because of them. I requested to cancel my membership and refund the extra payment which went through and I was told it cannot be canceled until the balance showing at their end is not sorted. Now they will be charging for next month again and just trying to scam. When I joined I was told that 2nd floor will be ready within a month. It was 4 months and there was no sight of 2nd floor. Totally scammed me to get into a membership and now creating drama although I am not even under a contract.

Fantastic experience: Been to a good few Anytimes by now, this gym has a good balance of machines and free weights, and I rarely have to wait to use anything too long. Helpful and friendly staff. Good place to pick up and put down heavy things.

Negative experience: A member for years and treated poorly when wanting to cancel. Management took the approach of worrying about themselves and not their customer. Pass problems on caused by ex employees on to the consumer as their fault. I recommend going to any other gym in this area regardless of price or convenience. You will not be at the forefront of the owners mind if you join this gym. Its also a small gym so not worth it.
Negative experience: Got offered a 7-day free trial but there's a catch, you have to buy a swipe pass for $80. They called me like every other day during the trial about personal training sessions and weather I wanted to continue onto a membership. I decided not to continue so I returned the swipe card, they said they would call within the next couple of days and refund me the $80 for the swipe card, but they haven't called and I've called a few times. It's been almost a week and the call always go through to voice mail. Do not recommend, stay away from Anytime fitness, particularly hornsby, they can't even been legal much less have good customer service. I'm digusted, I want my money back. And the manager is creepy too.
Negative experience: Doing their bit for the environment where the cleaners walk outside with the air conditioning grates and brush onto the gutter happening right now.. I'm sure that's healthy for our waterways
Negative experience: Similar experience to another review, my monthly gym membership was increased 50% without any notification. When asked why, no actual reason provided by staff. Been a member since it opened, but now will be leaving to find another gym.

Have had my gym membership price negotiated to a lower rate because I mentioned that my friend at a similar place was getting a lower rate.

Positive experience: Moved to Hornsby few weeks ago, and found this gym. Close to the station which is great, and the facility is pretty clean and modern.
Negative experience: I signed up to a membership with this company and i may have fallen behind a couple times like normal people do but the manager at this branch is so RUDE! and moody great customer service you have Annabelle or whatever your name is! every-time i have spoken to her she has been rude. I had cancelled my membership and still they are taking money out of my account i have called them to rectify this and the area manager said that i dint cancel my membership its my word against 2 of his colleagues and it doesn't matter what i say. pretty much i'm stuffed don't call again no on believes you blah blah blah they are rude arrogant assholes and i would not recommend them to anyone DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ALL YOU WILL EVER HAVE IS DRAMA DRAMA DRAM from their incompetent staff. Yes they are all happy when you sign up but that is how they sucker you in and then don't want anything to do with you once they have you signed a contract and wasting your money on their worthless company.
