Fantastic experience: Used the gym as a once off while I was in Brisbane for work. The facilities were great and the staff were very friendly. The manager Max was an absolute legend.

Fantastic experience: Anytime westend is always a positive experience and provides comfortable working conditions with a cold climate approach with there aircon levels ❄️ the club manager has been super helpful throughout and it’s projects a positive outlook on training and club standards!

Positive experience: I was contacted and asked to shared my finances details over the phone within 3 minutes without even having seen the gym and decided I no longer want to sign up due to the female staffs attitude on the phone (I unfortunately don’t remember her name) A month later I’ve somehow been charged direct debt $120 at 9:40pm on a Friday whilst overseas therefore I cannot come in or call. Trying to understand how this even possible when I never consented, attended the gym or had any tags etc Thankful for team member Ayla who responded and has helped me resolved this issue with a positive attitude Might reconsider joining if she’s there

Fantastic experience: My home away from home. I've been attending this gym for over 6 years and my membership is worth every cent. The people here are friendly and it's great to be able to finish work, come to the gym, work out and banter with your new mates. You go home feeling refreshed and mentally and physically great even after a difficult day at work. The gym staff have all been amazing, helpful and motivating... from Braydon to Luci to Max (what an inspiration) and now Ayla. My fitness goals have all been met and I look forward to ensuring that this old body stays in tip top condition and in shape for many years to come.

Positive experience: The gym is comprehensive in terms of equipment, however it must improve a lot regarding maintenance. There’s always something not working, and usually they take weeks to fix it. Recently they’ve opened as a “2.0 version”, but 2 out of 6 treadmills are not working, as well as one of the two stairs. Last year one of the stairs wasn’t repaired for months. At the moment the leg extension machine is out of order (going to the third week already) as well.

Positive experience: Anytime Fitness West End needs a serious upgrade compared to all other Anytime fitness I’ve been to. I’ve been a member for many years but I feel that since the one in South Bank opened, West End’s one has been left behind on all repairs and upgrades (e.g toilets, broken machines for months, new equipment, etc.).

Fantastic experience: This is my first time in West End Anytime Fitness and I love how there's just heaps of equipment, as well as storage/locker areas, and upon seeing the vanity area I just thought that it's really aesthetic! ✨ I'm really happy because our school just recently moved locations but after knowing that there's a branch near us, I didn't hesitate to try and visit.

Fantastic experience: Being a frequent traveling the Anytime fitness model suits. Only issue is when your key goes a miss or misplaced, lucky in this case the staff member at West End was extremely helpful and allowed me the utilise the facility. I felt welcomed which flowed onto a solid workout and a pleasant experience. Thanks for being awesome!!

Positive experience: Lots of equipment in a very tiny space making it borderline dangerous to exercise when the gym is half full of people. New cafe has reduced the gym space even more. Overall a good gym to go to outside of rush hours.

Negative experience: My girlfriend and I signed up to this Gym as we live really close by. Because we live close they offered us some sort of discount. We felt for it. They never mentioned any kind of contract duration. Year 1 later I tried and cancel we didn't end up using the gym much. Nicole tried to make me pay for 3 month of gym membership to cancel as "apparently i had 6 month left." Lucky i could find my contract at home. But even with my contact Nicole didn't let go, she had to try and find her version of the contact but ultimately didn't find it. The gym itself isn't bad at all, it has plenty of machines, isn't too busy, offers some free classes. Just make sure you read what they make you sign. And know it will be impossible to get out without a fight.

Negative experience: Just don’t. The service here is absolutely terrible - I was served by Nicole who was assisted me with my membership and she was incredibly rude, and treated me like I had leprosy or something. Once you clear the customer service hurdle, it seems like an okay gym inside. A little small perhaps, but I think there’s plenty of space. But there are other gyms that will treat you like a real person.

Negative experience: If I could give less than 1 star I would. Manager dismissive, distracted, didn't want to assist in any way. Shame really as it is nicely equipped & convenient location. Now I will have to find another gym that is less convenient to get to in order to have the benefits. If it had supportive staff I would attend.

Negative experience: Hello to all. I would like to warn everyone from using Anytime Fitness West End. In short, the gym conditions aren't great, and the most recent gym manager isn't particular suited to a customer service type role.First I'll give a little context to my experience at the gym. I must admit that when I first joined the gym I had a mostly positive experience and the poor atmosphere hadn't beat me at that stage. I stopped going to the gym at the beginning of this year mainly because I was sick of the poor condition that the gym was in. In recent months I had begun going to the gym a few times a week. I got tired of the poor state of the gym conditions quickly and decided that it was time to cancel my membership. Poor gym conditions include: - Too hot. Yes, I understand that the gym is a place of sweating, I am simply saying that there isn't enough cooling systems in the gym or they were just broken. I mean, it was hotter inside the gym than it was outside during late Spring and early Summer. - Loud trashy music. When in a separate room for classes, which I might add has no cooling system except a sometimes-functioning fan, the music was still clearly audible and made it hard to hear what the instructor was saying. - You can feel the vibrations of the weights dropping, which isn't remotely compatible with yoga or Pilate classes. In more recent months that I attended the gym I noticed that there had been a change in the gym manager. To this day he has not smiled, said hello, or even acknowledged me, except when I went into his office to cancel my membership. Cancelling wasn't a pleasant experience, because the manager wanted me to pay more than what was agreed in the contract because of his inability to press a button.I emailed the gym on the 30th of November 2015 to cancel my membership. He tried to convince me to stay, but I insisted that my membership be cancelled. He said to come in and pay the fee on the 30th of November or the 1st of December. I didn't get the email until the 1st. I went into the gym on the 1st of December to pay. I could not pay because another payment (monthly fee) was withdrawn on the first of every month, so until that fee went through, I was told I couldn't pay the cancellation fee. He told me to pay the cancellation fee before the end of December, and that would be the end of it. At this point I returned my access swipe card to the gym. I left Brisbane for a couple of weeks. When I returned, I called to make the final payment. The manager told me that there was a 30 day waiting period so I would have to pay the next monthly fee AND the cancellation fee. He said that the cancellation of my membership was only valid from the day I made the cancellation payment. This was the first I had heard of this. I disagreed, and told him that the contract should be cancelled according to the date that I gave notice, the 30th of November. We squabbled over this for a few minutes on the phone. Finally I asked him for a head office number, which he couldn't find for me. When he couldn't find the number, he agreed that he would back-date my cancellation to the 2nd of December. My cancellation fee is now paid. However, I still have one more payment of $1-$2 due, because according to the gym's system, I will still have a membership until the 2nd of January, because he won't back-date my cancellation notice to the 30th of November. Needless to say, this manager really needs to work on his customer service skills. If you are considering joining Anytime Fitness in West End and have any questions about the gym and my experience, I am happy to be contacted via rnhspam at gmail dot com (despite that name of the account, I assure you that I check it regularly!).
