Fantastic experience: I have only just joined Nexus in the last month and it is leaps and bounds ahead of any normal commercial gym. The equipment is beyond anything and the community is bigger and better than you would even think. I never fail to have a great time there when I train and all the events that are held there make it a fun place to not only socialise but support the growing lifting community. Nothing but love for the owners and what they have created

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Nexus Performance Gym for a very, very long time. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Nexus and consider this gym the best in Townsville for Strongman, and Powerlifting. I was coached by Jason for a my first Strongman comp and won a 2nd place podium finish. Being a 60yr old female that was exceptional considering my opponents were a lot younger. I highly recommend Jason as a personal trainer for all levels of fitness and age group. The team at Nexus and the Nexus community are all very supportive and will help you achieve your goals.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training casually at Nexus for a couple of years now, and even though I’m not there often, I always feel welcome. The Nexus crew, and other members are great to be around, motivational and willing to offer help and advice. I’ve been fortunate enough to attend workshops that have made a huge difference to my training and I’m definitely a better lifter thanks to the awesome guidance. The equipment is great, well looked after, and plentiful. Additionally, the events they put on are well run and I’ve been stoked to be apart of a couple of the dead lift for dogs events. I look forward to the next one!

Fantastic experience: We were up the coast for the weekend and wanted to get our session in. This gym staff were super friendly and the gym was also super clean. I have nothing but positive thoughts about the gym as overall my partner and myself loved the time we spent training there. If you’re here and needing to get training in, this is definitely the place to be at.

Fantastic experience: After moving to a new area, I recently discovered Nexus Performance Gym, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Transitioning from a commercial gym, I sought a new experience that made training fun again, and Nexus Performance exceeded my expectations. The equipment is top-notch and truly the best in its class. However, the incredible sense of community sets this gym apart. The support from other members and employees makes the membership truly worthwhile. Everyone is always ready to offer a helping hand or give advice. I can't imagine returning to a commercial gym after experiencing Nexus Performance.

Fantastic experience: I was originally training at EMF at Pacific Fair with a PT. I was getting fitter slowly but it was expensive for what I was getting. I was looking to learn proper lifting technique, did research, and found Nexus. Best decision I’ve made in my fitness so far — amazing people, community feel, smiles all round and the encouragement is epic. Joining the semi-private coaching, I have better technique, actually learning about how to train properly and how things work together. If you’re looking to join a new gym for any reason you will not regret training here!!

Fantastic experience: Honestly one of the hidden gems of the gold coast. Although Nexus is primarily a powerlifting gym, it has better bodybuilding equipment than any gym I’ve been to on the coast. Amazing community and atmosphere to train in. Definitely worth checking out

Fantastic experience: I don’t usually leave reviews but I’ve just done a whole roadtrip north to south of the east coast and went to many gyms. This was easily my favourite one, great community and very welcoming and the equipment all seemed brand new. I want an excuse to come back soon

Fantastic experience: Have been training at nexus for around 8 months now and it’s definitely my favourite gym I’ve ever been to! The staff and people are incredibly welcoming and the whole community are very supportive of one another. My strength/fitness and mental health has improved so much since joining and I’ve made some great friends! Highly recommend to anyone and everyone whether you’re just getting started with your training or quite advance with lifting, the equipment and gym is suitable to all!

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym excellent culture and everyone there is easy to talk to. Manager is awesome and the most handsome man to set foot in the facility. Equipment is top notch and had everything you need to get after it. If your looking for a 24/7 air conditioned powerlifitng gym it's the place to be. Owners are super friendly and there's a gym dog. Need I say more.

Fantastic experience: Love this place.... was fortunate to stumble across Nexus Performance whilst taking the dog for a walk whilst my daughter was at a singing lesson close by. Since moving to the Gold Coast, I had been looking for a more specialist gym that had a specific focus on strength training that wasn't a big box 'chain' gym.... The difference is the equipment and knowledge transfer from the coaches to you as a lifter. Their equipment is the very best Strength and Power lifting equipment. that you don't see in regular gyms. I never knew there was such a thing as a specific deadlift bar vs a bench bar. A deadlift bar is designed to flex a little on purpose to help take some weight out when lifting a heavy deadlift. You don't get this in normal gyms. Whilst a Powerlifting gym, don't let this put you off if you're not a 'powerlifter'. Nexus welcomes anyone and everyone whether your goal is a novice comp or achieving strength goals for other pursuits. Beside the equipment, and coaching, the other unique aspect to Nexus is the community and supportive nature of the gym. It's a family... I've trained with some great trainers over the years however, Josh, the Head Coach took my training up another level and I achieved goals that as a 50+ male I never would have thought possible. Perfecting the 'true' technique being the foundations. The other big factor is custom design of the training plan to suit goals and whether you go the one-on-one coaching or not, you'll still have either Will (owner), Josh or Alex provide feedback.... Its been a pleasure training with the Nexus team and even though I'll be overseas for 12 months, I'll still be engaging with the team remotely to help me continue my journey.... do yourself a favour and go try it out....

Fantastic experience: Atmosphere is always amazing and the programming is second to none, helped with rehabilitating my knee after multiple reconstructions and helping me life numbers I never thought I’d be able to achieve. Could not recommend Nexus highly enough from beginners to the elite level.

Fantastic experience: Spent well over a year with this crew and I can confirm with absolute certainty they’re extremely knowledgeable and supportive. I’ve had many coaches in the past and this is by far the new experience I’ve had. Great programs, grew people, great gains! I’m only regretfully departing from them as my training style is taking a 180 however I will inevitably return to them in the near future and look forward to it. Thanks again guys, nothing but respect.

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed my time at Nexus Performance Gold Coast. Myself and partner stayed over the weekend for a holiday. They made it a straightforward process to be able to train and make use of their facilities, which have some excellent equipment. Coach Josh was even nice enough to show us around and how to use equipment that we don't have at our gym. The crew at Nexus are a family, and are willing to make your gym experience mean more than just a personal experience. Starting here as a beginner in the powerlifting realm, Nexus has provided me with valuable insights and tips - and are accepting and supportive with an uplifting culture, no matter what stage of your journey you are at. The coaches and management are always willing to give a helping hand, with an unlimited amount of knowledge and resources suited to every individual. Nexus truly is a gym suited for everyone, and has unlimited resources and top quality equipment to offer - as well as a supportive community to guide you along the way.

Fantastic experience: Nexus is a phenomenal gym with everything needed for training. The competition grade equipment and unique machines made for an awesome training experience. What really sets it apart is the community of lifters that train together and create an awesome environment. Fantastic experience: We travelled down to the GC from Brisbane to support some friends who competed at the APU Nationals comp last weekend and decided to stop off at Nexus to train. The gym was clean, organised and the environment was hype from the moment we stepped in. Staff were super welcoming and we felt comfortable from the get go. A friend told me about Nexus in Burleigh and my initial correspondence with the team was extremely positive, inviting, and encouraging. Alex, Mikki, Will, and Josh are professional and so knowledgeable in training, nutrition, and building a cohesive, friendly, and well-cultured environment for people of all levels. With a few years already under my belt, their programming has been perfectly catered to my abilities and goals. Communication between myself and the coaches has been flawless and they have always been open to feedback. The space itself is elite to say the least - a clean, well-organised, black and red theme runs throughout the gym with incredible high quality strength equipment. Nothing but amazing things to say, honestly. I have loved training here so far! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: After 14 weeks at Nexus, I have achieved so much physically and mentally with the help and support of Coach Josh and the entire team. As a powerlifting novice, I have so much to learn but I feel confident that this is the place I will learn it.
